Season 7 Gets Underway on July 7

In just a few short days we’ll be officially kicking off Apeiron Season 7. This season introduces some pretty major changes to how Leaderboards and rewards are structured, with the aim being to provide even more valuable rewards while also offering greater utilization for existing currencies. What does that mean? Allow us to explain:

Rewards Structure

• Those who purchase our VIP PvP Battle Pass will now have access to rewards in the form of USDC and Divine Keys (which also contain USDC).

• There are 3 ways to earn USDC:

1) As rewards for placement on the VIP PvP Battle Pass Leaderboard

• Please note that you must reach rank T6 at the end of the season to be eligible.

2) VIP PvP Battle Pass holders can redeem Divine Keys through points earned by completing various ecosystem activities:

• Respective Rank in PvP and PvE (note that for PvE rank you will need to hold VIP tier of PvE (Godling) Battle Pass to be eligible)

• Total age of your 3 oldest Planet NFTs

• Average IV of your 6 highest Apostle NFTs

• VIP Staking Level

  • *Make sure your staking duration is at least 30 days and within maturity

• 1 Divine Key will be awarded for every 5 points, with tallies taken every second week (July 21, Aug 4, Aug 18 @ 10:00 UTC)

3) All players can earn Divine Keys when spending APRS/ANIMA in the following ways:

• Purchasing items in the VIP shop (including the VIP Battle Passes!)

• Breeding Planets using APRS and ANIMA

• Chronomerging using ANIMA

• Minting Apostles using APRS and ANIMA

• Charging up APRS and ANIMA into APRM and ANIMUS

Please see the following for USDC drop rates from Divine Keys:

• As for our free tier PvP and PvE Leaderboards, the rewards issued here will not change, however APRS will be replaced by APRM

Other Changes

We’re also rolling out a number of additional changes as part of Season 7 intended to improve the overall Apeiron ecosystem and gameplay experience. These include:

• Orderly Points (OP) required for VIP Staking at Levels 1 - 4

  • We’ve lowered the required OP by up to 10x (depending on Level) in order to welcome a greater number of players to participate in the ecosystem and gain access to shop items.

  • You can now stake as little as 320 APRS to unlock Level 1, and less than 11,000 APRS to unlock (just $60) to unlock Level 4. (Divine Keys will be available for purchase)

• VIP Shop items

  • PvP Battle Pass VIP Tier: 1,250 APRS

  • Godling (PvE) Battle Pass VIP Tier: 650 APRS

  • Divine Key: 300 APRS. That’s right, Divine Keys are available for purchase in the VIP Shop! The higher your staking level, the more Divine Keys that are available to buy.

  • Other items will also be scaled accordingly in the VIP Shop.

• Changes in Breeding & Apostle minting cost

  • Breeding cost:

• Minting cost:

These changes will take effect from the start of Season 7, which begins on Monday, July 7 @ 10:00 UTC. We recommend that players enter the PvP arena between the hours of 11:00 - 16:00 UTC, as this will offer the best matching experience.

New Apostle Class: Summoner

Our all-new Summoner Apostle class has already been unleashed upon the Godiverse, meaning the mystical little guy is playable in Apeiron right now! This weekend is the perfect time to fine-tune your Summoner strats ahead of the Season 7 launch on Monday (July 7).

In case you missed it…

“The Summoner lets you call on a range of mystical creatures capable of both defensive and offensive combat options. Need a wild boar to charge head-first into your enemies? Done. How about an explosive baby spider trap? Say no more. The Summoner has got you covered.”

Summoning the Summoner

There are a number of ways to get your hands on Apeiron’s latest Apostle class:

• Battle through dungeons in PvE to unlock the Summoner and mint them as an NFT. Remember, minting Apostles provides opportunities to earn Divine Keys!

• Purchase the Summoner through the VIP Shop. Unlock Level 1 for a Normal Summoner Ticket, and Level 4 for a Golden Summoner Ticket. Purchasing also provides opportunities to earn Divine Keys.

Chronomerging Has Arrived

Chronomerging is an exciting new way to boost the stats of an existing Planet NFT, allowing you to focus on a primary Planet while utilizing others in your collection. Here’s how it works:

• Choose two Planet NFTs to Chronomerge - one to receive the stat boosts, and one to be sacrificed.

• The sacrificed Planet NFT will add its age to the receiving one. Higher Exordium and lower Planet ID will also be inherited.

• Players can choose to spend 8,000 ANIMA during the Chronomerge to override the receiving Planet NFT’s skills and perks with those from the sacrificed Planet NFT.

• Following the Chronomerge, the sacrificed Planet NFT will no longer exist.

Chronomerging launches as part of Season 7 on the Apeiron Marketplace. Try it out to help your Planet NFTs reach their maximum potential!

Fight Smarter, Not Harder: Enhanced In-game AI

One area of Apeiron that we’ve long wanted to improve upon relates to our in-game AI. Enhancing the intelligence of our bots, both friendly and hostile, opens up entirely new gameplay options. This is a long-term goal for us, and something we will continue to iterate on as the seasons progress.

As part of Season 7, higher tiers (starting from Silver rank, T7) will sometimes be matched against stronger AI, offering a formidable challenge while reducing queue times. Real-player matching will still be prioritized, but if no match is found within 30 seconds AI rivals will be assigned where possible.

This is just the beginning in terms of how enhanced AI will benefit the overall Apeiron experience. We’ve got big plans, so stay tuned for lots more on this in future seasons.

Now, let’s look into VIP Staking and the VIP Shop!

VIP Staking

In a previous article, we’ve talked about an overview of the VIP Staking and VIP Shop. Here’s a quick recap of it:

• Apeiron has always supported LP token staking through the Ronin chain platform. LP token is a unit of how much of the liquidity pool you own. The Staking VIP system is created to further reward our token stakers.

• Only timed staking will award you with bonus Orderly Points. The longer duration you lock your tokens for, the more Orderly Points you will receive. Orderly Points increase your VIP level.

• VIP levels unlock purchaseable items in the VIP Shop. The higher level you are, the more items you have access to in the VIP Shop.

How to stake your tokens

This time, we’re going to talk about Staking in detail, teaching you how to do it step by step. Follow this tutorial so that you know how to become our staking VIP!

1. Visit our Marketplace Staking Page, and log in to your account by connecting your wallet.

2. Click on the “STAKE” button (as shown above) to determine how many & how long you want to stake your tokens for. The UI will show you a preview of how many Orderly Points you will receive for the amount & duration, and what VIP level it will help you reach.

3. You can unstake your tokens once the countdown ends, simply by pressing “unstake” on the staking dashboard at the bottom of the page. You may also view your staking record on the dashboard.

How to get Liquidity Pool (LP) tokens

1. Visit our Marketplace Staking Page, and log in to your account by connecting your wallet.

2. Click on the “GET LP TOKENS” button (as shown above), and enter the amount of APRS and RON tokens you want to exchange into LP token. The LP token must be exchanged using APRS + RON, each with 50% of the total value. The system will automatically tell you how much each of the tokens is needed when you enter a value.

3. After entering the value of tokens you want to exchange, press “confirm add liquidity”, and also confirm the action in your wallet.

Currently, we support the staking of APRS, ANIMA, and LP tokens on our Marketplace. There are 5 choices of staking duration, and they give higher Orderly Point multipliers depending on how long you stake for. Staking for 1 day gives you a base amount of Orderly Points depending on the token staked. Staking for 30 / 90 / 180 / 360 days gives you a 12 / 28 / 52 / 96x multiplier respectively on Orderly Points. The longer duration you stake, the more Orderly Points you can get. However, note that you can only unstake your tokens after the duration fully passes.

As long as your tokens are staked, you will retain your Orderly Points and be able to purchase items in the VIP Shop that correspond with your level. Once the staking duration ends, you can choose to either unstake the tokens, or leave them staked to keep the Orderly Points. Once you unstake the tokens, you will lose the corresponding Orderly Points and have to start over from scratch next time you want to get more points.

VIP Shop

The VIP Shop is now available with our mobile launch! You can visit the store page here. VIPs can purchase items from here using APRS. The higher the VIP level you are, the more items you will be able to purchase. Items like $ANIMA Potions, Gifted Apostle Tickets, Golden Class Tickets, and Booty Hours are all available for our VIPs! You can check what kind of items you can purchase for each VIP level on the staking page, and the purchasable items might change over time, so stay updated!

About Apeiron

First of all - welcome to the godiverse! From now on, you are referred to as a godling. In the world of Apeiron, you are summoned by High Goddess Cosmos to fight against Mad God Chaos. You’re born as a newborn godling, ready to carve your own destiny among the stars. You now possess mighty powers, transforming into Planet Avatars that allow you to wield elemental powers with unique abilities and engage in epic battles! 

Fear not, you’re not alone on this divine adventure! You’ll be accompanied by our loyal dood Apostles, the little yellow creatures that worship and support you in every fight. However, beware of the boods, the purple little creatures that represent CHAOS! Steer clear of them, or fight them, and explore the vast godiverse on this special journey!

What is Apeiron? 

Apeiron is the world’s first god game x roguelite x battle arena. Dive into treacherous dungeons filled with formidable bosses in our PvE mode, where you can focus on fighting the hordes of enemies, while building and leveling up a team of powerful Apostles! Once your ultimate team is ready, challenge other players in the exhilarating PvP Arena, fighting for glory and rewards! Our unique real-time card battling system provides a refreshing and fast-paced gameplay experience, where players can explore different combos of Avatars and Apostles throughout their journey.

Where can I play Apeiron?
Currently, the game is only downloadable for PC on our official Website, Epic Games Store, Mavis HUB, and Hyperplay. You will soon be able to also download the Apeiron Mobile Version on the iOS App Store and Android Play Store, but in the meantime, pre-register here!

Is it free to play? Are there any aspects of the game I need to spend money on?

Apeiron is a completely free-to-play game! Download and install it, and you can dive right into the excitement. However, if you wish to get more powerful Planets or Apostles that are tailored to your style of gameplay, feel free to browse the official Marketplace. Like many other games, Apeiron has an in-game Battle Pass system that rewards users based on different milestones. Users may acquire the upgraded version by either purchasing it directly, or unlocking it using their own Planet NFT - more on the battlepass below!

What is the Battle Pass? 

The Battle Pass is an in-game system that includes many missions with rewards for any godling who is up for the challenge. With a separate Battle Pass for PvE and PvP, godlings have the chance to earn rewards in either game modes, while planet holders will be able to unlock the premium tiers (also purchasable) to maximize rewards! Refer to our previous article for further details.

What are the available game modes? 

Currently, there are two available game modes: PvE and PvP. In PvE, godlings dive into a roguelite dungeon to fight boods, and ultimately challenge the final dungeon boss in an exciting battle. In PvP, godlings will go up against each other and compete to win a Best of 3 using various strategies and team compositions!

On top of this, we have seasonal leaderboards for PvE and PvP that allow users to compete for many rewards! Stay tuned to our official Discord announcements for dates of the leaderboards and the matching juicy rewards! 

Player vs Environment (PvE) Dungeon

The Basics

The PvE game mode is where players dive into a roguelite dungeon to fight against powerful intimidating enemies, with the goal of creating the ultimate lineup. Focus your efforts on fully unlocking at least four Apostles, while also learning how their skills synergize together.

For those wondering, Apostles, little yellow companions, are not simply mascots; they’re essential allies who can turn the tides of the battle! Your mission? Clear each level and eventually defeat the final boss. Every first dungeon entry of the day is free, but every additional run will cost you Souls (a currency earned by playing the game). Spend them wisely!

Boods - the feral lost wandering souls - they lurk in rooms of the dungeon. Your mission is to take on the waves of boods in the various battle rooms. Completing the room will give you the chance to unlock new Apostles or Artifacts, and gain Unpurified Gold (a currency used in the dungeon shop). Artifacts are godly treasures that grant you effects that strengthen your combat power, such as increasing damage and critical chance. The more challenging the room, the greater treasures you’ll find when completing it!

There are also other types of rooms in the dungeon - the Shop, Portal, Elite, and Boss rooms. The shop room allows you to make purchases such as potions, Artifacts, and sealed Apostles using Unpurified Gold, while the portal room lets you return to the Cradle temporarily to take a break and cook hot pot for your cute little doods. Utilize your Unpurified Gold to buy what you need in battles, and gain special battle effects by cooking hot pot in the Cradle. Elite rooms are harder versions of regular battle rooms, and the Boss rooms are where, well, you take on the boss! Pick your path strategically - you only get one life!

Unlocking Apostles

Apostles come in different classes with a variety of skills and Individual Value Stats (IV). There are currently a total of 6 classes, including Warrior, Guardian, Hunter, Rogue, Mage, and Priest. Different classes serve different purposes and have different skill pools. The higher the IV of an Apostle, the better the stats they possess. Let’s introduce you to these Apostles:

• Warrior: Frontline physical attackers specialized in close combat.

• Guardian: Frontline tankers. Meat shield!

• Hunter: Squishy physical attackers specialized in ranged attacks.

• Rogue: Sneaky physical attackers who assassinate squishy enemies.

• Mage: Magical attackers who use AoE attacks and play tricks.

• Priest: Your ultimate healing machines. Protect them!

Each Apostle class has a pool of 8 skills, and every Apostle will randomly have 3. However, only one primary skill is unlocked, while the other two are Sealed off. In order to unseal all 3 skills and level them up, you have to find and merge other Apostles who share the same skill. It’s a bit of a mouthful, but we promise it gets easier once you try it out! For more details, check out this tutorial video.

Player vs Player (PvP) Arena

The Basics

As mentioned above, we only recommend playing PvP once you have familiarized yourself with Planet/Apostle skills you enjoy using, as this game mode is not for the faint of heart - your knowledge and understanding of the game will be tested. For those of you starting out, we highly recommend using the pre-set decks that come with your standard “seed” planet.

In our PvP game mode, you will battle a Best of 3 against other players, and fight to be the last one standing! In this game mode, your ability to improvise is very important, as no two battles look the same. In order to have the best chance of winning, recognizing the Planet/Apostle skills, understanding mana regeneration, and being able to position your units safely are all essential. You might find PvP a bit overwhelming at first, but don’t give up, with enough practice you can master the combat skills and be a divine CHAMPION!

Note: In order to play PvP, you will need to have either unlocked at least 4 Apostles with 3 unsealed skills from PvE, or own four Apostle NFTs, purchasable from other players on the official Marketplace. 

Leaderboard and rewards

Every battle you win in the PvP mode will reward you with stars, Animus, Souls, and ANIMA. Stars rank you up, Animus can be used around the game, and Souls are used to enter the PvE dungeon. For users who are playing with Planet or Apostle NFTs, you will be able to earn ANIMA per win with stamina. Depending on your leaderboard placement, you will get rewarded things like Apostle Tickets, APRS, and APRM.

As mentioned above, players using Planet of Apostle NFTs can earn ANIMA by winning their games. Players have a base 10 stamina per day, up to 20 if you top up with Animus. Stamina doesn’t carry over to the next day, so make sure you exhaust all of the stamina to get the most out of your time. Do keep in mind, however, that win trading, or losing on purpose, is not allowed - those who try to bend the rules will get their goodies snatched away by the doody gods!

Hey doods! The S3 Beta is coming soon, and with a bunch of new features! In today’s article, we’re going to talk about some of these new features, including changes to Apostle minting, which is now called Apostle Forging. We’re also going to introduce the Replay Mode, Event Mode, and Apostle Bounties. 

A quick and IMPORTANT reminder that the Apeiron Guild Wars (AGW) online Invitational Tournament starts streaming tomorrow! Catch the Semifinals of the SEA region battling it out on our Twitch at 7:15pm UTC+8. Win Ronin project goodies during the commercial breaks, so definitely tune in! 

S3 Apostle Forging

Previously, we allowed players to mint their Apostles into NFTs so they could keep their Apostles for future dungeon runs or sell them on our Marketplace. This was known as Apostle Minting, but now it’s being revamped into a system that we’re calling Apostle Forging. 

During a dungeon run in S3, you may obtain dungeon Apostles as rewards, and place them into one of your 6 free dungeon slots to bring them out of the dungeon with you. Outside of the dungeon, the Apostles will be saved into your Planet’s Inventory. You can forge these dungeon Apostles in your inventory into Apostle NFTs. 

The utility of Apostle Forging is twofold: (1) you’ll be able to switch your Apostle NFTs between Planets by attaching and un-attaching them and (2) your Apostle NFTs will never age or die. 

About Apostle Aging: Apostles have a lifespan of 31 days. Over this time, their stats will slowly decrease (this also applies to the stats in PvP). On the 31st day, the Apostle will die. You’ll have the option to either bring your Apostle back to life through a holy revival (costing Soul Gems) or burying the Apostle, removing them from your Inventory forever. Revived Apostles have their age set to 0, resetting their stats back to their original values, and will go through the 31 day aging process again. 

Back to Forging. Forging will cost you some $APRS and $ANIMA, and the price will increase when you forge more Apostle NFTs. We’ll have more to share about the prices of Apostle Forging at a later date.

Here’s a breakdown of Forging/Attaching: 

1. Apostle (Not an NFT) - Can ONLY be used with the Planet that found it. Can level up its skills when taken on a dungeon run. Will slowly age and then die after 31 days. 

2. Apostle (NFT & Unattached) - Can be used with ANY Planet that you own. CANNOT level up skills when taken on a dungeon run. Will never age or die. 

3. Apostle (NFT & Attached) - Can ONLY be used with the Planet that it’s attached to. Can level up its skills when taken on a dungeon run. Will never age or die. 

Once you have attached an Apostle NFT to a Planet, you will need to Reforge it in order to un-attach it. This will cost a small, fixed amount of $ANIMA. Once the Apostle NFT has been successfully reforged, it returns to the condition of being an NFT & Unattached.

How does this work with PvP? When an Apostle drops from the dungeon, it will only have 1 skill unlocked. It will unlock its other skills by leveling up. An Apostle needs to have all 3 skills unlocked to be used in PvP. Once it has its 3 skills unlocked, the above rules apply, which is to say that if the Apostle is an NFT & Unattached, it can be used by any Planet. On the other hand, if it's not an NFT or if it’s an NFT & Attached to a specific Planet, it can only be used with the corresponding Planet. 

The Apostle Forging system will go live with the official launch of S3. 

Apostle Bounties

Moving on to the trading of Apostle NFTs. We’re adding a new Apostle Bounties system on our Apostle Marketplace, allowing traders to set bounties for buying or selling Apostle NFTs with requirements. 

For bounty creators, you may set several parameters of the Apostle NFTs you would like to buy. This includes Apostle class, first skill, other two skills, lowest skill level, lowest IV, price, and quantity. The bounties created can be canceled in the bounty inventory at any time, but once a bounty hunter submits an Apostle NFT meeting all the requirements, the bounty will be automatically confirmed and complete. 

For bounty hunters, you may sort the bounty prices on our Marketplace page to look for the most rewarding bounties, or use your owned Apostles as a shortcut to find bounties with similar requirements. Once you submit an Apostle NFT meeting all the requirements, the bounty will be automatically confirmed and complete. 

A platform fee of 4.5% will be charged from the successful completion of a bounty.

We hope that this new feature can further facilitate the Apostle NFT trades on our Marketplace, and help players to find the Apostles they want. 

Apostle Bounties will go live with the official launch of S3. 

Replay Mode

Ever thought of rewatching your battles? Now you can, with the Replay Mode! After the battle, you’ll find a button saying “replay”, or you may select which battle you would like to replay from your battle history. 

In Replay Mode, you can look at the battle from 3 different perspectives, including from your own side, your enemy’s side, and a neutral perspective. You may also choose which round to look at, as well as speed up, or pause during spectating. This gives you chances to understand the battle, without any blindspots, and helps you learn from your experiences. Look carefully at how you move and cast, and maybe you’ll find something to level up your play! 

Replay Mode is available now! But it still has a few bugs, so make sure you let us know if you encounter any.

Event Mode

Even though the AGW Guild Leaderboard is over, the competitive hype isn’t over yet! The AGW Invitational online Tournament is happening now, then Leagues are starting up. But what if you want to have your own little tournament? Event Mode is here to help! 

In Event Mode, the host of the room will spectate a live match between two players. This gives you and your friends the perfect opportunity to stream the doody madness and the sick plays to your community.

But before that, announcements! We’ve got some changes to the AGW Invitational tournaments dates. The NA invitational is being bumped up to early July and SEA is having a day shaved off:

And as a last piece of AGW news, here’s a quick AGW battle report: currently, Ancient8, Gemeta Gaming, and 一席之地 are at the top of the Guild Leaderboard, breaking through the 10000 total Stars barrier! We have to say that the leaderboard rankings are fluctuating quite a bit from last week, so you and your mates still have a chance to catch up. Keep fighting!

Next, the ANIMUS Marketplace utility will be going live on June 21st 8am UTC - tomorrow! You’ll be able to cover 50% of your Marketplace $ANIMA breeding costs using ANIMUS. Read more about that here.

Next, the Doodaria Pass we announced last week is going live - today! Get rewards by completing 

missions and quests, all run through our Discord server. With the launch of the DP, we’re finally retiring the  #🔥│fireball-party channel. Special thanks to Boss Oppa, AbbieG, and 旋律 for running it this year!

Now with that said and done, let’s dive into the dungeon!

PvE Dungeon Release

The PvE Dungeon is expected to be in our official S3 beta release. The release will not only preserving the PvP game mode we currently have, but also adding an updated PvE dungeon feature. Players will be able to hunt and mint Apostles once more! 

Those who have played our Apeiron S1 and S2 releases will be familiar with our roguelite dungeon. For those who joined during S3, don’t worry, let us walk you through our dungeon rooms! And since the dungeon has been undergoing some reconstruction, there are several new features we’re going to introduce below…

New Dungeon Currencies

The updated Dungeon mode will have four currencies: Unpurified Gold, Unpurified Souls, Soul Gems, and Souls (as shown from left to right). In our S1 and S2 PvE dungeon versions, Soul Gems were the only currency in the dungeon, but in the coming new PvE dungeon the Unpurified Gold will replace the old Soul Gem’s function, while Soul Gems will have new purposes. 

Here’s what each of the currencies will get you:

• Unpurified Gold: Main currency used in the PvE dungeon, obtained by winning battles. Use it to make purchases in dungeon shops. Cannot be carried when leaving the dungeon. 

• Unpurified Souls: Obtained by selling Apostles in the dungeon. Will be converted to Soul Gems when leaving the dungeon. 

• Soul Gems: Converted from Unpurified Souls. Use it to start a new dungeon run and level up Apostle skills. 

• Souls: Obtained by selling Apostles in the Cradle. Use it to reset an Apostle’s age.

Dungeon Difficulty Setting

We’ve talked about the dungeon difficulty before: we’re providing easy, normal, and hard modes in order to allow players to customize their gameplay to what they want it to be. The harder challenges you pick, the more rewards you’ll have the chance to snag, including Unpurified Gold, Soul Gems, and higher IV Apostles, all of which will give you a higher score on the dungeon leaderboard. 

For new players, in order to familiarize yourself with our game, you’ll start from the easy dungeon. Once you’ve completed the easy dungeon run successfully (hopefully you won’t get mauled by the Juggernuggets >.<), the normal mode will unlock. The same goes for proceeding to hard mode. 

Every time you start a new dungeon run, you’ll have to choose the difficulty level and pay to open the dungeon door using Soul Gems. The Soul Gems required to open the door increases with the number of times you start new runs within the day, and it will reset once per day. 

Apostle Assembly in Cradle

Tired of battling? Want to chill with your Apostle doods? You’ll soon be able to hang out with them in the Cradle! The Cradle is your new hub in the game. Dood Apostles will start appearing in the middle of the Cradle, with NFT Apostles coming first, then dead Apostles from your previous battle, and at last, other normal Apostles. Look at how they dance and wiggle their little doody butts! Adorable.

Besides, Apostles can now age. Each day passing they will grow older, and they can live up to 31 days until they die of old age. Your goal is to level up their skills as much as possible before the deadline, and mint them into NFTs so that they can be your companions forever. Don’t worry if your favorite Apostle dies before minting though, you may choose to reset an Apostle to 0 days old by spending Souls. 

Apostle Adventure Squad

You can now bring your beloved Apostles into the dungeon! In the previous dungeon version, you would pick up different Apostles as you go. But in the new version, before entering into a new dungeon run, you’ll add up to 4 Apostles into your Dungeon Squad and they’ll meet you there.

Once you’re inside the dungeon, your squad will be with you through thick and thin, and you won’t be able to change it up. However, there will be two extra slots for you to preserve rescued Apostles, so that you can bring them back to the Cradle and have new adventures with them in the future. 

We hope that by keeping a limited number of Apostles, players will now upgrade their skills more frequently. When you obtain new Apostles in the dungeon, you can choose to use them to upgrade other Apostles, keep them in the Reserve Slots, or sell them for Unpurified Souls. 

This change will keep your Apostle Squad neat n’ tidy.

Revamped Dungeon Shop

The dungeon shopkeeper has secretly been conducting some doody marketing surveys, the result of which is: the dungeon shop is getting revamped! 

A new item has been added to the shop: the Sealed Apostle - by opening a box, you’ll gain an Apostle with random class and IV. The shopkeeper has also cleaned up some space, so now the shop can display more items for purchase.That means you can buy even MORE POTIONS. 

We hope that with this new arrangement, players can save up their Unpurified Gold after battle, and splash them all out in the dungeon shop. Shopping time! Who doesn’t love a little retail therapy?

A Break in the Cradle

Lastly, you’ll encounter a new room type in the new dungeon - the Portal Room. Replacing the Campfire Room, it has a portal that will teleport you back to the Cradle temporarily, where you can rest with your Apostles. More importantly, the chef has fixed its hot pot, and is ready to serve you magical healing soup with all sorts of buffs!

“Hmfp! Now that the hot pot is ready, you should be my first guest to try out my new dish.” – Cradle Chef

Collect ingredients in the dungeon by winning battles, and bring them to the chef! He’ll prepare cuisines with his delicate culinary skills and PASSION. Hopefully he won’t cause explosions or fires in the Cradle again.

When you’re done with snacking, you’ll get back to the dungeon through the Portal instead of the PvE dungeon gate. This effectively saves the progress you’ve made in the dungeon rather than starting a new run. Convenient, eh? Thanks to our dungeon construction workers for their tireless work.

Hey! New to Apeiron? Welcome! This is a beginner’s guide we’ve put together for the latest version of the game (as of April 2024). We’ll cover the basics to get you started on your own Apeiron adventure~

Heads up we have a tournament coming up soon: The Nova West Tournament! It’s an invitational tournament showing off some high-level PvP gameplay from some of your favorite KOLs, beginning April 4th. If you want to learn more about it, read here.

What is Apeiron?

Apeiron is a lot of things! We’re a very ambitious game. Basically, in Apeiron, you are a Godling (a newborn god) and you summon a Planetary Avatar to control in battle. You’re helped in battle by dood Apostles - little yellow creatures who worship you. 

When fully released, Apeiron will have a roguelite dungeon mode, a god simulation mode, a PvP battle arena mode, and a galactic guild war mode. 

At the moment, only the PvP battle arena mode is available. 

Watch out for our upcoming S3 release, which will launch with an updated roguelite dungeon and new story to explore! But for now, jump into our PvP mode, the Apeiron Battle Arena. 

Build a team with your Planetary Avatar and dood Apostle NFTs to trade, play, and earn in-game tokens such as $ANIMA and $APRS.

Where can I download the game?

Download the latest version from Epic Games Store, the Mavis Hub, or the Apeiron Marketplace. 

How can I start to earn?

Players can earn $ANIMA and $APRS tokens through playing Apeiron.

$ANIMA is our win-to-earn token. It is mainly for NFT enhancement, which can make your characters in the game stronger. It can be topped-up to the game as Animus in the forthcoming Apeiron top-up store. 

$APRS is our tradeable ecosystem token, primarily used for NFT creation and thereby expanding your Apeiron collection. It can be staked through our Expedition system.

–> Get $APRS by rising through the ranks and making it onto the seasonal leaderboard.

What do I need to do to play?

Nothing! You can play the game for free. Just download and install and you’re good to go. 

Our current patch gives ALL players access to five different Planetary Avatars with unique mixes of the four elements (Water, Earth, Fire and Air) and eight dood Apostles of different combat classes to try out. 

The elements correspond to different abilities on the battlefield. Water is the element of balance, being able to play offensively or defensively. Earth is the element of outlasting, being able to grind out victories. Fire is the element of blazing attack, being able to open with ferocious assaults. And Air is the element of movement, being able to bob and weave around the battlefield with ease. 

If you like the game, consider getting your own Planet or Apostle NFTs.

What are Planet NFTs?

Planets in the Apeiron universe each have their own unique Avatar, which you control in battle. 

Planets are divided into types depending on their elemental distribution. 

Quad Planets have some mix of all four elements. They are the most common and weakest Planet type.

Tri Planets have a mix of three elements. They are of uncommon rarity, varying in power. 

Duo Planets have a mix of two elements. They are rare and can have access to powerful skills.

Pure Planets have just one element. They are extremely rare and very powerful.

What are Apostles NFTs?

Apostle dood NFTs are the characters who will accompany you in battle. Apostles are split among six classes: Mage, Guardian, Hunter, Priest, and Warrior. Each Apostle comes with its own skills and IV - a number that determines how strong it is. 

The more Apostles you have, the more options you have for building your perfect team.

You can buy an Apostle here, or consider joining community activities to get Apostle Tickets, which can be claimed to get Apostles.

Apeiron Arena Open Beta 💫

As you may have learned from our past Medium articles, we’re going to release the Apeiron Arena Open Beta on the Epic Game Store, set to release on February 28th, 2024! $ANIMA Airdrop Points can now be officially earned by all players who download and compete in our Arena! For all the dedicated players who have been playtesting our Arena up until now… please be gentle to your newly acquired doods, as the proper tutorial dungeon is not in yet, they will need guidance in how to play!

Now let’s get down with the deets: This round of earning AP is extra special. Please note that other avenues of collecting points will be closed off. Why? This is to encourage you doods to get familiar and get groovin’ with our latest build! 😎 Souls will be officially taking their rightful place as an in-game currency - Souls will be used to calculate AP (at a 4 Souls : 1 AP ratio) between Feb 28th to Mar 18th. As for Souls in Discord will soon be transformed into Stardusts, please head to our Discord for more details on this!

The amount of Souls earned after each match WITH STAMINA is also influenced by factors such as owning Planet NFTs + Apostle NFTs. This actually holds true even in Season 3, as players can actually earn tokens by winning matches with Apostle and Planet NFTs.

We understand Planet ownership can be a pricey gateway to win2earn, so we are introducing Apostle NFTs as the initial step towards digital ownership and the win 2 earn journey. Of course, the winnings of holding an Apostle NFT alone is but a fraction compared to Planet Holders. We understand there are too few Apostles in the Market right now, so stay tuned to announcements and keep your eyes peeled for the ton of Apostle NFT Ticket giveaway events taking place in March!

In this Arena Open Beta version, free-to-play users using our Seed Planets and Apostles will earn 100% of AP from our leaderboards, but the more Apostle NFTs you own, the more Souls you’ll earn! Each Apostle NFT you possess grants you a 16.66% multiplier, up to 6 Apostle NFTs for a 100% multiplier. While a Planet NFT grants you an immediate, separate 100% multiplier as well. So if you win a match with a Planet NFT + 6 Apostle NFTs, you will be earning 300% Souls per match!

Of course, for our Primeval Planet holders, we further multiply the base Souls as usual:

Primeval Exordium Planets = Holders of our rare genesis Planet NFT types:

• Elemental = +30%

• Mythic = +60%

• Arcane = +120%

• Divine = +300%

• Primal = +666%

Example one — If you have 3 Apostle NFTs and an Elemental Exordium Planet NFT, you’ll get ~50% + 100% + 30% = 180% multipliers. And if you have a full team of 6 Apostles and a Divine Planet NFT, you’ll earn 100% + 100% + 300% = 500% Souls.

Please note that there is a maximum amount of Souls you can earn per day. The new build will be based on a PvP Stamina system. (Temporary name, Lorekeeper will turn this into an extremely hard vocabulary in Season 3 as per his lordship’s liking… please don’t fire me.)

In the PvP match lobby, you will find a PvP Stamina count. Each match you play, whether you win or lose, will consume one PvP Stamina. Once your Stamina is depleted, you can still continue playing matches, but winning them won’t grant you any Souls until your PvP Stamina reset at the end of the day. So it’s important to remember to play each day to obtain your daily Souls with PvP Stamina!

And that’s about it! You can expect many events to come in March as we release the Apeiron Arena Open Beta, remember to keep an eye out for the Apostle Ticket giveaways!

We hope that you all enjoyed this early sneak peek, and that you had the chance to mint and reserve the Apostles that you wanted for the next stage of Apeiron. Now, we’re moving forward! Keep your reading pants tucked and brace yourselves, we’ve got INFORMATION to unload! We know you love information.

Over the past few months, we’ve been making tweaks and carefully reforming the gameplay experience for the PvE dungeons. After countless nights and numerous meetings, our game design team has successfully implemented these changes to the PvE dungeons. Soon MY DOODS, you will get to experience the revamped version of APEIRON. Here’s a quote to give you a notion of what to expect:

“We’ve reimagined all Avatar skills and perks, streamlining the experience to focus on the thrill of battle and exploration. Forget about skill tree points; now, you’ll need to adapt and evolve through the rewards of combat and exploration itself. But that’s not all — our dungeons are still evolving…” — Dryad, game & level designer

Foonie Magus’ ultimate goal is to bring you doods fun and delight with the little moments that happen within the godiverse. So this week’s blog will walk you through all the aspects of the game that have undergone changes!

As usual, before we dive in, we have a few announcements and reminders for you cool doods:

One: We’ve got some upgrades to Airdrop Points (AP)! As a reminder, AP is used to gain $ANIMA, one of our tokens to be launched with our upcoming TGE. We made a post about all that jazz — read about it HERE. Now, basically, we decided to be more generous with our giving away AP, just for this Phase 2 of the PvP Leaderboard, to reward our early comers and especially our Planet holders. Here’s the new AP schema:

• Guest Accounts = 0% (No change)

• Core = Registered accounts = can earn AP

• Chosen = Apostle holders or Partner’s Community members = +50%

Now then, we’re done with appetizers and it’s time for the main course. Let’s look at how the times are changin’.

1. Choose Your Rewards

Choose your battle rewards wisely! In the new dungeon you’ll now need to choose between several rewards at the end of each battle! You can’t have everything you want after all. You’ll be able to choose 1 out of 3 rewards for normal battles, and 2 out of 3 rewards for elite battles. We implemented this feature to encourage players to take on higher levels of difficulty for juicy extra rewards. And for boss battles, you can claim ALL of the rewards! You’ve defeated the fiery monster, the big boss of the dungeon, and you get your due for it. You’re welcome.

The rewards may include Apostles, Avatar skill cards (new!), and various miscellaneous items (also new!). In order to know whether the dropped Apostle is worth it, you’ll be able to see the IV statistics for the Apostle in the rewards page, but not other details until you’ve made your selection. For items, you might get Tainted Gold (equivalent to Soul Gems in S2 dungeon), or different kinds of potions. As for skill cards, we’ll go into details in the next section…

2. Skill Tree Reform & Artifacts

Avatar skill cards are now scattered all over the dungeon. Initially, ALL Avatar skills will be unavailable, and you’ll need to collect and unlock them through battle rewards. This includes both active skills and passive skills. There’s no more need for skill point distribution, no more leveling up to unlock — it’s up to the luck of the loot! This will make each run a lot more unique, and also give you the chance to experiment with powerful combos you might not be able to access in PvP.

Now if you happen to obtain identical Avatar skill cards, you’ll have the opportunity to enhance your current skills. For instance, if you possess a level 2 Zip Zap Orbs, and you obtain another Zip Zap Orbs after winning a battle, it’ll automatically upgrade into level 3 Zip Zap Orbs. The skill cards dropped after battles don’t have specific levels; as long as you receive an identical one, they’ll always add one level to your existing skill card. Now that’s what I call quality of life~

The same upgrade system applies to Artifacts. When you obtain an identical Artifact, it will level up automatically. Also, we’ve made it so that Artifacts equip automatically to empty slots, so that no longer will we forget to activate our cool new Artifact after getting it. So much quality of life! Things you love to see: it.

3. Apostles Assseeeeemmmmbbbllleeeeeeeee

Tired of saying goodbye to all the Apostles you’ve collected after a dungeon run? Well, good news, everyone! You won’t have to say goodbye to your favorite Apostles anymore! You’ll be able to bring 4 Apostle NFTs into the dungeon when you begin a run, and also reserve 2 extra Apostles you’ve collected during the run, which you will be able to bring into new runs as well.

However, you can’t keep more than the 4 Apostle NFTs and the 2 extra Apostles in your inventory. If you end up collecting more Apostles but the slots are full, you’ll have several options:

1) Feeding them to the reserved Apostles for skill upgrades,

2) Replacing the reserved Apostles, or

3) Selling them for Tainted Gold.

When you feed Apostles with the same skill, you can upgrade that specific skill of the chosen Apostle. As we feel this is a feature that was often overlooked in the dungeon demo, we hope a revamped version of the UI and this new system will encourage people to do it. Feed your Apostles to each other! Make them strong! Just do(od) it.

One more good news for Apostles — they are now blessed with revives! *Happy doods shouting* Even if Apostles perish during battle, they’ll be automatically revived after you win, but only at low HP. The idea here is that since players can only retain a total of 6 Apostles, we want them to accompany you throughout the journey, rather than needing to replace them each time they’re defeated. This new feature also introduces more flexibility to the gameplay — perhaps now players could strategically sacrifice their Apostles during battles and in return gain some extra power through certain Artifacts…? That would be a little evil. You’re not evil, are you?

4. Hot Pot

Various rooms in the dungeons have undergone changes too. In the upcoming beta release, there’ll be no event rooms, and we’ve replaced the Campfire room with one that allows you to travel back to your Cradle, a place where you can rest with your Apostles.

In your Cradle, you’d find a chef waiting for you with a large steaming pot of soup. Who doesn’t love soup? This talented and passionate chef can whip up some extraordinary dishes that will not only impress your taste buds but also restore your HP and grant you special combat abilities! For example, a meat stew could enhance your team’s attack stats. This will allow you to adjust strategies between dungeon fights.

5. Score Calculation

Attention, leaderboard climbers! After completing a run, we’ll calculate your score for that run based on factors like time spent, number of potions used, and remaining Tainted Gold. This will then determine your ranking on the leaderboard. Our game design team has observed the pressure of speedrunning leaderboards often prevents players from changing team combinations during a run. To address this, the leaderboard will now factor in all elements to ensure players enjoy the game rather than focusing solely on speed. Take your sweet time. No need to rush!

6. Hard Mode!

For those who crave a challenge, we’re going to introduce a hard mode! Tougher enemies mean more rewards, and scoring higher at the end of the run if you complete it in hard mode. It’s time to break out your gaming keyboard and get serious, folks! This will only be for those looking for a real challenge. The masochists. Don’t even think about attempting it unless you are a GAMER.

We talked about this a little bit last week in our September Dev Report but we wanted to give you guys a bit of a deep dive to bring you up to speed on how to clobber and clout your way through the bosses. It works a little bit differently than it did in the past, so read on, and start on your road to off-season glory! ~

Setting Up

In order to participate in the boss rush, you first need to link your Discord to your Apeiron account. And make sure you’re using the most updated version of the game before you begin this process:

1. Log into your account on Marketplace, then go to account settings

2. Link your Apeiron account to your Discord account, that will give you the role @doodnected in Discord.

3. Click #boss-rush-go channel in our Discord server

4. You must TYPE (not paste) the following in the #boss-rush-go channel to trigger the command: /s2-boss-rush True or /s2-boss-rush False to toggle on/off of the boss rush mode

5. Please note that toggling the boss rush mode on or off will require you to reset any in-progress save.

6. Begin your new run.

Leaderboard Rules

The rules are simple — reach Cycle 6 (which is room #97) as fast as you can! Please note that leaderboard records will only be submitted after you’re dead or if you reset the run. If you’ve reached a depth that can bring you onto the leaderboard, remember to complete the run or reset it, otherwise we won’t be able to record your score! For records that reached the same depth and room, the one with the faster time will rank higher. To view the leaderboard, head on down to our official Marketplace.

Also, please be aware that if we discover any CHEATERS, we’ll IMMEDIATELY disqualify them from the leaderboard. Please uphold the doody spirit. DON’T BE A BOOD.

Cheaters will be BONKED.

Tips to navigate the dungeon

This boss rush game mode differs a bit from its previous iterations. This time, you can choose from a pool of 8 artifacts which will better prepare you for your battles. Apostles are all random (no longer all at IV 99 or have the same skills). Additionally, these Apostles collected from the boss rush may also be reserved, just like normal dungeon runs!

As your foonie insider, I’ve gone around the office, playtested the game myself, hovered over Big Sword’s screen, and WELP, I tell ya this boss rush game mode has not been easy (for me at least). So here are some basic tips that I have gathered and hopefully they will better prepare less experienced players for the challenges of the boss rush. Because it is pretty hardcore.

Each run will start with choosing from 3 Artifacts:

• Syn’s wing boots: If you’re not confident enough in your Avatar movement control, this Artifact gives further dashing distance.

• Invocation of infinity: This is better for those who are in it for the long run, best for late game, it provides a 20 mana limit, which means players will have a maximum of 30 mana in total.

• Torchsoul Charm: Earn an early advantage in battles, this Artifact reduces costs of your first 15 cards by 1 mana, further increasing to 30 cards after evil alignment.

The first event room of every depth determines your Artifact’s alignment

• Potty break event: If you let your doods go to potty, one of your Artifacts will turn into good alignment. If you don’t, your Artifact will turn into evil alignment. (What kind of DEMON forbids doods to go to potty!👿)

• The evil alignment is usually a trade-off of the good alignment. Evil artifacts are typically more powerful than Good artifacts, but they also usually have a negative effect.. so choose wisely! Play around with them and figure out what floats your boat.

• After beating the first boss, you’ll get to choose another Artifact at the end of each depth after the boss fight. The options will be different from the 3 initial Artifacts, players will choose from 3 other Artifacts that are randomly drawn from a pool of 8 over the course of the dungeon run. That pool includes: the Axis Blade, Scales of Mundi, Cosmic Flame Ring, Bloodkiss Charm, Creation Halo, Spirit Coral Tree, Timetwist Piece, and Abyssal Claw.

Important rooms

An event room in the 3rd depth named “Behind the mask” will give you 3 choices:

• Take off Mask: Get an Apostle

• Attack: You go into a fight

• Put on the mask yourself: Level up TWICE (I’d recommend you to try on the mask, it looked nice on me)

Save money for the Shop in depth 2 row 2, it’s the only shop that will be selling the caged fairy that gives you a life if you die. (BUY IT, you will need it🧚‍♀️)

Apostles

• Unlike last time, where all Apostles had an IV of 100, obtainable Apostles from this boss rush will be completely random. Check out your skill sets and try to use your higher IV Apostles if you can.

• Prioritize choosing Warriors, Hunters, Rogues and Mages, as you want to deal more DAMAGE to the bosses. (Guardians and Priests won’t really help if you’re trying to go fast)

Tips for boss fights

Bosses. You wanna rush ’em, and then they smack you down. And jump on you. Or shoot off a laser beam. OR SUMMON TWO PRIESTS ASSFDSK:LJFLJKDSAFJKLKDASF. Anyway. It’s fine. It’s fine! We’re here to help.

First of all, as a general tip, you’ll want to distribute some skill points to max out your Avatar’s 4th perk, Piercing Tempest, as the % damage is effective towards the thick HP bar of the bosses. Then, distribute the remaining skill points to big damage skills. For example, we’d recommend Blink or Slash for the Fate. If you can successfully dodge the boss’ attacks, then you’ll have a small window of time to deal great damage.

Secondly, there are three types of bosses and they’ll appear in the sequence of Scorp the Juggernugget, Claw of Doom, and Dark Mystic — after which the sequence repeats, but with MORE POWER. Each of the bosses have 2 phases, different skills, and their own attack patterns, so it’s important to keep track of those in order to survive. Here are some tips for fighting each of them:

1. Scorp the Juggernugget

⭐First phase

• Moments before their jumping attack, there will be a red circle forming around you. Move away from your Apostles, wait patiently for the circle to fill up, then quickly dash away once it’s fixed.

• Make sure your Avatar pivots to the side instead of going straight when the boss is invoking its dash attack, otherwise you’ll crash into the boss and still take the damage.

⭐Second phase

• Stay as close as you can to the boss during this phase, so that you can dodge the large-V cone attack easier.

• When the boss jumps back you’ll see a large cone begin to form, run with all your might towards the boss, wait until it fills then quickly dash FORWARD through the boss and to the side. Once you dodged it, swing for the fences with all your cards and go for a big counterplay.

• If the boss summons a pair of bood Priests, KILL THEM IMMEDIATELY. The heals they provide can really set you back so you NEED to deal with them ASAP.

2. Claw of Doom

⭐First phase

• Same as Scorp, dodge the jumping attack with a well-timed dash.

• When the boss leaps back, it means it’s going to make a jump attack in a random direction and hit everything in the way, so react fast and time your dashes!

• A lot of his attacks have a burn effect that does damage over time, so remember to keep an eye on your HP.

⭐Second phase

• The boss will randomly kidnap one of your units — including you! Make sure you save enough mana and high damage skill cards, if you don’t damage the boss enough, it will instantly kill the stolen unit.

3. Dark Mystic

⭐First phase

• During the 6-pillar attack, don’t stand inside the hexagon. Kill the gold pillar and all the other pillars will disappear, or instead kill 3 normal pillars if you’re too far from the gold pillar. Do note that breaking the hexagon will spawn a bood Apostle.

• Almost every time after it attacks, it will immediately teleport away, EXCEPT during the lightning ball attack with a tornado — then you’ll have a good chance to deal some damage to the boss.

⭐Second phase

• Make sure you save enough mana and high damage skill cards to break its shield, or else you’ll instantly die from its meteor attack.

• The pillars in this phase grant the boss 90% damage reduction, so better focus on finding and killing the gold pillar first.

IN OTHER NEWS:

Some wonderful changes are going to be made to the current soul vessel exchange channel. It’s still a work in progress but we are streamlining the claim-perks channel, using Wonderverse to replace the current mee6 souls token. Look out for this! Soon! Very soon.

This guide will help new players familiarize themselves with the NFT side of things for our game and maximize their experience within our game — and on the Marketplace!

Please note that this is a pretty detailed guide with a lot of information. Some of our newer doods wanted us to put together a one-stop blog post for answering all their questions about Apeiron NFTs, and this is it. It ain’t for the faint of heart. There’s a lot to take in here, but if you have any questions you can always head over to our Discord and our community of awesome doods will help you out.

1. Planets & Avatars

1.1 Planets and Avatar Skills

Planet NFTs are valuable assets that enable players to create a more tailored gameplay experience in Apeiron, and should be your first stop in planning out your Apeiron NFT journey. While owning a Planet NFT isn’t necessary to participate in the game, it does give players an edge. But first, you need to understand a little bit about how Skills work.

Skills determine your Avatar’s powers in battle. Skills range in power from Tier 1 to Tier 6, with Tier 6 being generally stronger. Usually, you get access to Skills through your Planet’s elemental distribution. Planets with more focused elemental distribution (e.g. Pure Planets of a single element) get access to Tier 6 Skills through the Skill Tree. So the first thing to check out when looking at Planets is the Planet’s elemental distribution.

Planet NFTs also have a set of Birth Skills that are NOT tied to their planet’s elemental distribution. Birth skills can either be hereditary from parent Planets or drawn from mutation chances, which means you’ll have a chance to get powerful Avatar skills without needing to worry about your elemental distribution.

There are also Primeval Planets, which were the first Planets to ever exist, generated through our Planet NFT Pre-sale. Being a Primeval Planet holder has its perks; first off, it’s cheaper to breed. On top of that, you’ll get “Primeval Access”, aka early access to our latest game builds. You’ll also gain access to what we call “Godling Bounties”, which are quests on Discord that you can complete to earn additional rewards. Finally, you’ll get special airdrops tailored just for our Primeval holders.

1.2. Celestial Conjunction (Planet Breeding) Explained

Celestial Conjunction — Planet Breeding — is the process of breeding 2 Planets together and creating a new Planet. Breeding can create powerful new Planets, which you can either sell or keep for your own play, and you only need two Planets to get started.

Specifically, the breeding process requires mini-Black Holes (mBH), which can be earned through events in our Discord community or direct purchase on the Marketplace, and 2 Planets that are not directly related in previous breeding, including parent, child, or sibling Planets. Each Planet can only be bred three times max.

There are varying mBH costs for breeding depending on the Planet’s bloodline (its elemental distribution), conjunction count (how many times it’s been bred), and whether or not it is a Primeval Planet (one of the first Planets to exist in Apeiron, generated from our Planet NFT Pre-sale). You can see those costs in the table above.

Ultimately, with breeding you want to try and concentrate your elemental distribution to get closer to a fully Pure Planet. This means you generally should try and breed Planets with matching elements — a Duo Planet of Fire and Earth, for example, you should breed with another Duo of Fire and Earth to try and get closer to either Pure Earth or Pure Fire. One factor that can really help in this regard is the “Primeval Legacy” traits. Read on!

1.3 Primeval Legacy

Primeval Legacy is a distinctive trait originally found in around 11% of Primeval Planets. This exclusive trait can be passed down to the next generation through breeding. Primeval Legacy traits GUARANTEE when breeding that your new Planet does not fall below a certain minimum threshold for the dominant element. For example, if one of your planets has the Primeval Legacy trait with a value of 80% Fire element, then, the new Planet will have a guaranteed value of at least 80% Fire, as long as the dominant element is Fire before triggering the Primeval Legacy effect. This can really help you to control the elemental distributions and get them lined up in the way you want.

But what if you have multiple Primeval Legacy traits of the same element from different parent Planets? In this case, whichever trait value is higher will be the one to activate. So for example, if one Planet had a Primeval Legacy ensuring 80% Fire, and another had a Primeval Legacy ensuring 50% Fire, only the 80% Fire Primeval Legacy would activate, assuming that the dominant element of the offspring Planet is Fire.

As of now, there are two methods to acquire a planet with Primeval Legacy, either by purchasing them from the Marketplace OR through breeding with a Planet that has a Primeval Legacy and hoping the offspring inherits the trait. Specifically, if a new Planet is bred where a parent or grandparent has a Primeval Legacy trait, the offspring has a 10% chance of inheriting it per parent or grandparent that has that trait, up to a maximum inheritance chance of 60%.

2. Star NFTs

2.1. Planet aging & Star NFT Tiers

So much for Planets. But Apeiron also has Star NFTs for our more dedicated and competitive players, and especially for those interested in alliance and guild gameplay.

In the Apeiron godiverse, Planets age at a base rate of 1 year per 24 hours. The older the Planet gets, the stronger it becomes; older planets are more valuable because they have access to more Relic slots.

Planet aging can increase the value of your planets and strengthen your combat power in the game. Star NFTs accelerate the aging process for your Planets and provide alliance buffs. There are a total of 11 Star NFT tiers, with Tier 1 being the highest and providing a 54x aging buff to your planets (so it will age by 54 years in 24hrs), while Tier 11 being the lowest offers an aging buff of 1.2x. The higher the Star tier, the greater aging buff it provides, and therefore, the greater its value on the Marketplace. Additionally, Astronomicals can be added to Star NFTs to make them stronger — more on that below.

You can purchase Star NFTs directly on the official Apeiron Marketplace.

2.2. Orbital Tracks

For Planets to receive aging buffs and bonuses, they need to be attached to a Star NFT Orbital Track. The higher the Star NFT tier, the more orbital tracks it possesses. For instance, a Tier 1 Star NFT provides 200 orbital tracks, allowing up to 200 planets to be attached to it and receive simultaneous aging buffs.

It may be challenging to utilize all 200 tracks with your own collection, which is why you can actually rent out your Orbit Tracks to other players for USDC, which serves as the ultimate passive yield generator!

2.3. Astronomicals

Astronomicals can be purchased on the Marketplace to customize the effects of Star NFTs. Each Astronomicals category has different effects — for example, suns give additional aging buffs, while asteroids increase the number of Orbital Tracks. Astronomicals allow you to maximize the utility of your Star NFTs.

Astronomicals range from tier 1 to 3, with tier 1 being the highest tier. However, different Stars have different Astronomical Slots, with different restrictions on the type of Astronomical it can utilize. Check your Star’s Astronomical slots before making any purchases.

3. Apostles

3.1. Apostle Minting

In the current season 2 demo, the Apostle minting function has been launched, enabling players to mint dood Apostles secured through dungeon gameplay into NFTs. Initially, players will have access to 2 Reserve Slots to keep Apostles for minting into NFTs. These NFTs can be used in the future seasons or sold on the Marketplace.

It’s pretty easy to obtain Apostles in the game. You can find them chilling in dungeon battle treasure chests or even in dungeon shops of the game. At the end of a dungeon run, players can select which Apostles to keep in their Reserve Slots, while other unreserved Apostles are lost forever. Note that you can reserve dead Apostles if you wish. In the current season, you may enjoy one free Apostle Reserve Slot, and you can unlock up to 3 by spending Animus, or up to 6 by owning Planet NFTs and burning Battlepasses. Only Hunters, Warriors and Priests are available for minting at the time of publication. Players are furthermore limited to only minting one Apostle from each class, for a maximum of 3 unique Apostles minted.

After reserving the Apostle(s) for at least 7 days, they can be minted into NFTs on the Apostle Mint page on our Marketplace. If you have a Dood Halo or Doodelic Wing, minting your first two Apostles is free. Dood Halos have a chance to drop during Booty Hours, and Doodelic Wings are distributed during community events. Note that every account can only have 1 maximum Dood Halo and 1 maximum Doodelic Wing. If you mint a third Apostle, it will cost 0.02wETH. If you never get the Dood Halo or Doodelic Wing, the minting costs are 0.02wETH for the first, 0.05wETH for the second, and 0.1wETH for the third.

After minting — congrats! You now officially own an Apostle NFT! But you might be wondering: what kind of Apostle should you mint?

3.2. Skills & IVs

Each Apostle possesses 3 skills from their class skill pool of 8, which can be enhanced to level 1–5 independently — although future releases will see up to 10 levels for each Skill. Skill combinations can be valuable depending on their synergy. In addition, each Apostle has an IV (Individual Values) level, representing the Apostles’ stats in battles. Higher IVs mean stronger Apostles.

Let’s say you wanted to mint your Priest Apostle. A good healing-focused Priest would have some combination of Circle o’ Healing, Aura of Awesomeness and Almost-vincible. You would try to look for a high IV Apostle with such a skill set, then level those skills as high as you could by sacrificing other Apostles with the same skills. This is in addition to leveling up the Apostle.

Please note that different skill sets are useful in different scenarios, and the above example is just one example of many. Additionally, skill sets that are useful in PvE might not be as useful in PvP, so make sure you know what skills you are looking for before minting that Apostle. If you’re not sure, you should seek advice from experienced players who lurk on our Discord, they’re very friendly and helpful, we promise!

As for IVs, they are the values deciding the base stats of Apostles in battles, which means that even if two Apostles share the same level, the one with a higher IV will have better stats than the lower IV one. Therefore, it is better to go for the Apostle with higher IV during battles and minting. Of course, you have to take into account their skills too, as mentioned above. If an Apostle has a high IV but a bad skill set, it’s not going to be as valuable as an Apostle with a marginally lower IV that possesses your ideal skill set.

Hey doods! We just released our S2 demo yesterday (Play now for free! HERE) and we’re VERY EXCITED ABOUT IT. There’s a ton of new content to play through buuuuttttt some of you might be a tad overwhelmed by it all.

Maybe you’re coming to Apeiron for the first time ever (welcome!). Maybe you’re coming back after a break (welcome back!). Or maybe you’re just not sure how to handle things. Don’t worry! We got you covered.

Today’s guide will focus on beginner’s tips and tricks just for getting everyone off the ground and up and running. And, for absolutely no reason at all, the five HOT tips contained herein will all begin with E. Alliteration is both evocative and excellent.

Before we jump to it, a bit of housekeeping: first, a reminder that we have our ongoing Angelic Ascension campaign going on this week with our partners Avocado (more alliteration!). Complete their quests and jump in for a prize pool of $1000 USDC just for playing! Easy-peasy.

Second, we wanted to briefly highlight a couple of points regarding Booty Hours and Animus. During Booty Hours, you have 1 free revive in case you die. Second, you can gain a total of 500 Animus from completing depths in Season 2. You must have burned a Battlepass to claim Animus rewards. Animus may be spent as follows:

With that said and done, let’s get to the guide!

Explore all the Different Dungeon Rooms

Apeiron dungeons come with 6 different types of rooms: battles, elite battles, boss, shops, campfires, and events. You’ll be running into battle rooms all the time, and you’ll eventually have to face the boss, but as you go through the dungeon you’ll be presented with choices about different room types to explore.

Try them all out! Each of them come with their own benefits to your team. Elite battles, for instance, come with tougher challenges but also higher possibilities for rare rewards. At the shops you can spend your hard-earned gems on a variety of potions, Artifacts, and even Apostles! Campfires are great for healing, but also can be used for a free level up for your whole team, great for pushing your advantage.

And then there are Event rooms, in which pretty much anything can — and does — happen. There are tons of stories to discover, each with their own unique rewards, so they’re worth taking the time to see what you can get. Be prepared though — while some Events are almost all upside, others come with pretty significant costs.

Experiment with your Apostle Teams

As you progress through the first and second cycles, you’ll collect a small army of Apostles from each of the 6 different classes, all with their own skills and IVs. After a few battles, you’ll probably settle on your first team and feel comfortable using them. Which is great!

However, it’s a good idea to experiment with all the different Apostles you get, especially at the lower cycles when the game is still relatively forgiving. Not only will this give you a better understanding of the different classes’ strengths and weaknesses, but also you may find it easier to defeat certain encounters using different comps, which will ultimately save you valuable health in the long run.

Empower your Avatar

Battling tons of enemies means your Avatar will be getting experience and leveling up! But leveling up your Avatar doesn’t happen automatically. You need to go into the menu and spend time investing your skill points into improving your skills, passives, and eventually getting new skills.

Your Avatar is the keystone of your team, so you want them to be as powerful as they can be at any given point, so make sure you’re spending those points when you get them. Try to have a plan for your leveling up — you start with 2 skills, so you could split your points equally between the two of them to make them both stronger and balanced, but you could also choose to focus all your points to hyper-charge one ability.

Equip your best Artifacts

The further you go, the more likely you are to start picking up Artifacts. Artifacts offer powerful build-arounds that change the way you play. You can have 5 Artifacts activated at any one time, and you’ll want to try and find synergies among them. So for example if you have a bunch of Artifacts related to discarding, using them all together could be beneficial.

But as you go deeper you’ll want to keep an eye on your Artifacts and make sure you’re upgrading them as you go along. Specifically, you’ll want to switch out weaker Artifacts with more powerful ones, as well as keep an eye on the Good and Evil effects your Artifacts will gain as you go through various Event rooms. Good Artifacts have blue-golden backgrounds, while Evil Artifacts have black-red.

Escape when you need to

Some battles don’t go the way you planned. Your doods run all over the place like headless chickens, you don’t draw your key skills, your keyboard catches fire, etc. etc. But you can just restart it! Specifically, you have 3 free restarts during each run.

So if it looks like the battle is going terribly, just…go back in time and try it again. You can find the restart option in the pause menu during battle. The first 3 times, there’s no cost in escaping and giving it another go. AFTER that, your restart will activate the Blood Moon effect, making all enemies PERMANENTLY stronger. So you’ll want to be a bit more careful then.

Howdy doods! Today we’re discussing Apeiron’s Season 2 Apostle Awakening, giving some info on the launch of orbital renting, and covering upcoming Discord Community Updates. In our previous posts, we’ve gone over the gameplay updates you can expect with the Phase 2 of the Apeiron Dungeon Demo. This article will cover how you can turn that gameplay into real rewards: your own permanent Dood Apostle(s) — which you can mint for free!

And we’ve got some dates for you! The pre-launch campaign for Season 2 will begin around mid-May with Primeval holders, Strategic partners, and KOLs testing. Then in June we have the official Season 2 launch. Stay tuned to our Discord for weekly sneak peeks and the latest progress updates!

Season 2 Apostle Awakening

Let’s start with a quick rundown on Apostles. Dood Apostles make up your adventuring party as you go through the dungeon, bringing various skills to the table depending on their class. We have 6 classes available now — Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, Priest, Guardian, and Mage — with another 6 to follow in the future: Berserker, Dragoon, Summoner, Shaman, Bard, and Knight.

Apostles each come with 3 random class skills drawn from a pool of 8. When Season 2 releases, you’ll be able to upgrade those skills to become more powerful — each skill can be upgraded 5 times max. How do you upgrade a skill? By infusing (cough cough BLOOD SACRIFICE) an Apostle with the same skill as the one you want to upgrade to your chosen Apostle.

So far this is all old information. Now for the new stuff!

Each Apostle has an Individual Variable (IV). IVs can range from 1–100. The higher the IV, the better the Apostle’s stats — everything from health to attack to defense. So of course, you want an Apostle with the highest IV possible!

Apostles will drop randomly as you make your way through the dungeon. Then, at the end of each run, you’ll have the option to save those Apostles. Each player starts with 1 Reserve Slot for Apostle saving. Got an Apostle with a high IV? Stick it in the Reserve.

Then, at the end of the season, you’ll be able to mint your high IV Dood Apostle from the Reserve Slot, making it into an NFT which is yours to keep forever! Or sell it, if that strikes your fancy. Whatever floats your boat.

Please note that for Season 2, you’ll only be able to mint from among the Priest, Hunter, and Warrior classes. Players may only mint ONE Apostle of each class. The other classes will come later! Stay tuned.

Our Planet holders will automatically have additional Reserve Slots, and you’ll also be able to purchase additional Slots with ANIMUS — more on that a little later. Each player can have up to a max of 6 Reserve Slots and mint up to a max of 3 Apostles. For the Apostle minting, mint prices are as follows (excluding gas fees):

1. First Mint = 0.02wETH

2. Second Mint = 0.05wETH

3. Third Mint = 0.1wETH

HOWEVER: players will also be able to earn up to 2 FREE mints. 1 free mint can be earned through playing the game and collecting the rare item “S2 Dood Halo.” Planet holders will actually get a free S2 Dood Halo at the end of the season if they didn’t end up finding one!

The other free mint can be earned by collecting the item “S2 Doodelic Wings”, which you can snag by participating in our Discord community, being a part of the season 1 Apeiron Guild War winning community or by becoming a believer of endorsed Apeiron Adeptus Missionaries, our affiliated partner program.

Additionally, with the launch of Season 2 there will be no restrictions on game time — you can play as much as you want! But we’ll also be giving away something provocatively called Booty Hours. During Booty Hours, you’ll receive the following benefits:

• S2 Dood Halo activated! You will have a significantly higher chance to find and collect S2 Dood Halo during Booty Hours.

• A second chance! Booty Hours will give you an extra life in case you accidentally perish while dungeon delving.

• Drop rates up! You’ll get more Apostles — with better IVs — during Booty Hours.

Booty Hours last, unsurprisingly, for 1 hour, and each player starts with 3 Booty Hours, which can be increased, as usual with community participation and by holding Planets.

Any other ways to get Apostles with good IVs besides hunting for them through playing? Yes! You can buy an Origins Collection Apostle — which comes with a unique outfit, fixed IV value of 88 (very good!) and a random set of skills — by purchasing an Origins Collection ticket on OpenSea. If you do go this route, you can use the ticket to mint at the end of season 2 for the Origins Collection Warrior, Priest, and/or Hunter.

And as a last note, players can win Golden Apostle tickets for (Apostles with random outfits, high IVs, and random skills) the Priest, Hunter, and Warrior by making it to the top of our Season 2 Leaderboard or community events. More info on that to follow at a later date!

Finally — Battlepass and Animus! In Season 1, players could earn up to 500 Animus through completing the Dungeon Demo and beating the boss. We’d like to remind you to go to our Marketplace to collect your Animus for your account if you haven’t already. IF YOU HAVEN’T COLLECTED YOUR ANIMUS BY THE START OF SEASON 2, IT WILL DISAPPEAR. This is your warning!

Each Battlepass will grant players +1 Reserve Slots and +1 Booty Hour. Getting a Battlepass — or multiple Battlepasses for each account you want to mint with — will set you up nicely for Season 2. Additionally, only Battlepass holders can claim Animus in Season 2. Animus may be used to purchase additional Reserve Slots, Booty Hours, or extra lives for an extended session of dungeoneering. It’s very useful!

Please note that previously burnt Battlepasses will NOT grant Reserve Slots. However, game time from current Battlepasses will partially convert to Booty Hours. Regardless, we recommend holding onto Battlepasses for now and saving them for the Season 2 release.

If you want to get a Battlepass, you’ll need to collect 1 Lunar and 1 Solar fragment, which you’ll be able to acquire through Discord, Apeiron events, or by purchasing it on platforms like OpenSea.

Now we should also mention that we are hosting a new Moonstone Nebula Expedition this week — it’s live NOW. Nebula Expeditions are a way for our Planet holders to stake their assets for a chance to plunder awesome prizes. And for the leadup to Season 2, we’re setting a prize pool of 1000 Lunar Fragments! It’s a great opportunity to prepare yourself for what’s to come, so get your Planets and get out explorin’!

We understand you may have some questions about how all this shakes out, and we’ve compiled a brief FAQ below to cover what we think may be some of your most commonly asked questions.

Q1: What happens if I sell or transfer my planet mid-season as a planet holder?
A1: Your extra reserve slot will be removed, any Apostle in that slot will be deleted, and you won’t automatically get the free mint item “S2 Dood Halo” at season’s end. Purchasing another planet during the season will reactivate your privileges to the Slot and Halo but WILL NOT RECOVER the deleted Apostle. So please ensure you have enough Reserve slots from Battlepasses or ANIMUS before transferring your Planets elsewhere!

Q2: Can I transfer my free mint items: “S2 Dood Halo” or “S2 Doodelic Wings” to another account?
A2: No, “S2 Dood Halo” and “S2 Doodelic Wings” are non-transferable.

Q3: What’s the maximum individual variables (IV)?
A3: The maximum IV in Season 2 is 100.

Q4: What’s the difference between Golden Apostle Mint Tickets and Origin Collection Mint Tickets?
A4: Origins Collection Mint Tickets are transferable, class-based NFTs available on OpenSea, featuring the same costume as the ticket’s appearance, 88 IV and the special “Origin” tag. Players can use their Origins tickets to redeem a Priest, Hunter, or Warrior class in Season 2.

Golden Apostle tickets are transferable and must be opened on the official Apeiron Marketplace. Golden tickets yield either a Priest, Hunter, or Warrior Apostle with a random costume, skills, and in the 85–100 IV range.

Q5: Is there an expiration date for the mint tickets and items?
A5: No. However, S2 mint tickets, S2 Dood Halo, and S2 Doodelic Wings can only be used to mint Priests, Hunters and Warriors.

Q6: Will there be mint tickets for the other Apostle classes in the future?
A6: Yes, please stay tuned for future announcements!

Q7: Can I participate and obtain rewards from the leaderboard and AGW S2 at the same time?
A7: Yes. For the former, the rewards are on an individual basis. For the second, you will be representing a guild. If both you as an individual and your guild are at the top of the tables, you can win both sets of prizes.

Q8: Do I have to finish all the depths to mint Apostles even when I can pay for the mint or when I have a S2 Dood Halo or S2 Doodelic Wings?
A8: You will access your Reserve Slots when you die or when you retire a run. Don’t worry, dead Apostles can be selected to be placed into Reserve Slots. It’s their souls you are preserving ;)

Q9: If I have two apostles with the exact same class and skills, am I able to level up all three skills at once or I can only pick one skill to level up?
A9: No, you can only choose one skill to level up for each infused Apostle.

That covers all we have to say about Season 2: Apostle Awakening. Now let’s shift gears and talk a little bit about our long awaited Orbital Track Renting!

Orbital Track Renting

It’s almost here! Star NFT owners will be able to rent out their extra Orbital Tracks (OTs) starting on April 26th. Renting out OTs allows the Star Owner to make some USDC from the renting, and lets Planet owners age their Planet faster by receiving the Star’s aging buff. It’s a win-win! Let’s talk about exactly how it will work.

When the renting system launches, Star owners will be able to open up any unused OTs for renting. Specifically, Star owners will be able to set the number of OTs they want to be open for rent on the Marketplace. Note that they cannot set the number of OTs more than their Star has — so for example if your Star has 20 OTs, the max number of OTs you can rent out is 20 (assuming you aren’t using any yourself).

Star owners can set the rental duration period (minimum of 14 days, max of 90) and the rental amount in USDC. A player who wants to rent the OT can pay the rental fee and stake their Planet to the Star, at which point their Planet will begin to receive the aging buff from the Star. Please note that 8% of the total rental fee will be charged as a platform fee. Then, at the end of the renting period, the rental fee will go to the Star owner.

Both the Star owner and the Planet owner can choose to end the rental period earlier should they desire. If either party decides to terminate the rental agreement, then the party that ended the rental will be subjected to a 12hr attachment cooldown.

Additionally, in the case of an early termination of the rental agreement, the rental fee will be divided proportionally between the parties based on the amount of time rented, with a 10% penalty imposed to whoever decided to terminate. So for instance, if I am a Planet owner renting for 10 days, and I want to break the agreement after the 5th day, the split would be 50–50, but then I would get a 10% penalty, so it would actually be 40–60 in favor of the Star owner.

Here’s another example, with numbers!

For Star owners, if the Star with OTs rented out is listed and then sold, all rentals will be transferred to the new owner — including any rental fees to be collected.

Star owners may edit rental settings whenever they wish, but these changes will not affect existing tenants until after the tenant has decided to renew their renting or not based on the new conditions.

And that’s it! We hope that everyone enjoys the advantages of the new system.

Discord Community Update

So what can you expect from our Discord revamp? Well, first of all, we’ve made an effort to simplify things — Discord will be a place for chatting and hanging out. If you want more detailed information on Apeiron, we’ll point you either to our Whitepaper (which we’ll be updating next week!) or to our Mediums. We’re also doing a bit of a shift of tone for our events: less competing, more cooperating! In the spirit of doodiness~

Second, we have reset chat levels so that everyone starts off fresh. Moving forward, we’ll be doing this every 2 months. As you work your way up the levels — simply by spending time chatting around and about — you’ll earn rewards in the form of season 1 game time and Souls. You’ll be able to spend your Souls on all sorts of things: additional game time, Battlepasses, and t-shirts. Then, at the higher levels, you can get things like a customized Discord Doodiportrait, entry into our weekly Soul Marble Raffles and — at the tippy-top — a Plushie or the mysterious Doodraic Seal!

Now if you’re an asset holder, then you’ll also be able to earn Foonie Emblems (FE) through our Discord. FE are NFTs which can either be sold on the market or used in our special FE Shop to get things like mini-Black Holes for Planet breeding, Astronomicals for enhancing your Stars, or an exclusive Cushion! You haven’t parked your rear until you’ve parked it on a fluffy dood face.

But wait, please hang on, as the revamp is still a work in progress. On the docket we have godling projects, DADI 2.0, and remodeling of the quest board. It’s a new era for our Discord server, so please, give us your suggestions! We’re still in the process of making it all happen, so we’re all ears to listen to what you think of it and what we can do to improve it.

Hi! Hello! Salutations! And welcome to our Apeiron Season 1 Review and Demo Phase 2 Gameplay Informational preview! In this blog, we’re going to cover the epic beginnings of the Apeiron Guild Wars: Skydream Scramble Season 1 AND the Letrina Cup! Then we’ll cover all the goodies you can expect to see in the Phase 2 release of our Apeiron Dungeon Demo, currently scheduled to go live in April with early primeval testing beginning next week! Lots to talk about so off we go!

Apeiron Guild Wars: Season 1 Rundown and Letrina Cup

The Apeiron Guild Wars: Skydream Scramble (AGW) kicked off on February 15th 2023 as the FIRST Official Apeiron Guild Wars! We sent an open invitation to communities across the Metaverse to join, and they answered — we had over 80 web3 communities participating with more than 1000 players actively competing, spending over 3000 hours fighting through our dungeon!

So who came out on top? The winner of the AGW is PIF, who broke the 15’ barrier with a jaw dropping average time of 14’08’’! They’re walking away from Season 1 with the coveted Arcane Planet Set, a value of 10,000 USDC, and well-deserved. In 2nd came Apeiron stalwarts Guildfi with an impressive time of 15’09’’, taking the Mythic Planet Set for a value of 6,500 USDC. And sneaking into third we have 3Verse (fittingly), who pipped Leo Ventures at the post to take home the Elemental Planet Set, a value of 4,000 USDC. You can see the final standings on the leaderboard above. Big congrats to the top 10!

Running alongside the Guild Wars, the finals of the Letrina Cup — a special Apeiron Planet holder competition drawing from the top players from the Season 1 leaderboard — have also just concluded, and we wanted to give a quick shout out to the winner, USN! This guy put in a staggering 109 hours into the game and came up with his own unique strategies to clinch the inaugural Letrina Cup, making him the undoubted champion. Congratulations USN!

Now that Season 1 has finished, we’re looking ahead to Season 2. Let’s talk about the content we have planned — and boy is there a lot to talk about!

Artifacts: A New Way to Play

Artifacts are coming in Phase 2! Artifacts are unique rare items that provide passive bonuses. During the course of any given dungeon run, your Artifacts will push you to tailor your playstyle in a certain way so as to maximize their effectiveness, making each run distinct. And on top of that, some Artifacts come at different rarities, ranging from Common to Epic. The rarer the Artifact, the stronger the effect!

For example, you might get “The Warrior’s Cookpot”, which has the effect “When you play a Warrior skill card, you have a 40% chance to return a Warrior skill card from your discard pile to the top of your deck.” This can really let you combo off with Warrior skill cards, so you could run a Warrior-heavy Apostle team if you got this Artifact.

Conversely, you might get an Artifact like “The Pentahorn.” This Artifact gives you attack speed to all your units for every 5 mana in your mana pool, encouraging you to keep at least 5 mana at all times, so a test of your mana awareness. Notably, this Artifact combos with something like “The Spirit-Coral Tree”, which gives additional max mana, so you can gain even MORE attack speed!

Artifacts are going to add a huge amount of replayability into the game and are a major part of this update. But they’re just the beginning!

New Playable Avatar Classes: The Fury and the Fate

Phase 1 of the Demo introduced you to the Tempest Avatar Wisdom class. The Wisdom is a magic-focused Avatar class with a penchant for offensive-oriented spell-slinging. And while we’re sure you’ve enjoyed playing as the Tempest Wisdom, variety is the spice of life, and with this new release we’ve got not one but TWO new Avatar classes to choose from: the Tempest Fury and the Tempest Fate.

The Tempest Fury is a melee brawler Avatar class who wants to get up close and personal in combat. If you’re the type of player who wants to execute a very forward, aggressive kind of game plan, the Fury is just the Avatar you’re looking for.

On the other side we have the Tempest Fate, a commander-style Avatar class firing off shots from distance with its powerful ranged weaponry. For those looking to control the ebb and flow of battle with a range of different abilities, including buffs, debuffs, and summons, the Fate is an excellent choice.

And of course, each of these Avatar classes comes with its own skills, passives, and upgrade trees to let you customize it just as you’d like. Speaking of which…(segway!)

Apostles: Skilling and Fusing

Our dood Apostles are also getting some big changes! First, all 6 Apostle classes (Warrior, Mage, Hunter, Rogue, Priest, and Guardian) will be getting 5 new skills each — that’s 30 new skills total just for Apostles, more than double of what we have now! This means that instead of each Apostle having the same 3 skills every time, each unique Apostle will have a random selection of 3/8 from its class’ skill pool. This will make getting a new Apostle more interesting, since it could have an entirely different selection of skills to work with than what you’re used to.

On top of this, we’re adding in skill upgrading to Apostles! This works a little bit differently than with upgrading your Avatar’s skills. Here’s how it goes: when you want to upgrade an Apostle’s skill to make it stronger, you need to sacrifice another Apostle of the same type and with the same skill. They fuse together and…the skill gets upgraded, so its effects — such as damage, healing, shielding, etc. — will get improved.

So instead of having a bunch of un-leveled Apostles who you’re unlikely to ever use, each Apostle you get now presents a new strategic decision: do you keep the new Apostle and level it up so you have a stronger team with a wider selection of skills, or do you sacrifice your new Apostle to one of your existing Apostles in order to super-charge one skill in particular? Decisions, decisions!

A Room of One’s Own: Event Rooms, Campfire and Shop Improvements

And speaking of decisions, the Phase 2 update will also bring with it improvements to both Campfire and Shop rooms, as well as an entirely new room type: Event rooms!

Let’s talk about Event rooms first. Event rooms present the player with unique story scenarios to interact with: each one will come with choices that will deeply affect how the rest of your run — and beyond! — will play out. Some of these stories are random events that explore some of the out-of-combat challenges your Avatar and doods may face in the dungeon. Others are more character-focused, and may even have multiple parts to unlock…with plenty of rewards, of course!

Event rooms will add a ton of replayability to the game (alongside everything else) since there are many stories for you to unlock and experience. But you might not want to go to an Event room — you might be drawn to the newly improved Campfire or Shop rooms!

For the Campfire room, we’ve drastically changed what options are available. In Phase 2, you’ll have the following choices:

1. Heal your Avatar AND Apostles (previously two options, now combined!)

2. Choose a dead Apostle to revive (no longer random!)

3. Level up an Apostle

So now, even if you don’t need to heal up, the Campfire offers the chance to level up an Apostle. Choose your favorite and really take them to the next level, or pick one that’s maybe fallen behind the curve and bring them up to speed!

For the Shop, we’re adding more Potions, new Consumable Items with a variety of effects, and also the option to sell Potions or even Artifacts you’ve collected to convert it into cold hard Soul Gems. Can always use more Soul Gems.

To Infinity and Beyond: Season 2 Leaderboards

In Season 1 of the Apeiron Dungeon Demo, we focused on speedrunning. Gotta go fast! For Season 2, we’re going to be changing it up a bit, and asking the question: how deep can you go? We’re calling it “Infinity Run.” The way it works is you’ll go through the 3 Depths, just as before, except after, you have the option to continue.

The game will soft reset — you’ll go back to Depth 1 with a new layout and have to make your way through the 3 Depths again, except you’ll keep everything you’ve gained in your last playthrough. And you can repeat this process — of going through 3 Depths, beating the boss, and doing it again — to infinity and beyond!

Except of course, it isn’t so simple. The deeper you go, the harder the fights get, so you best be ready. For the leaderboards, we’ll be seeing how many rooms you can make it through before collapsing in defeat. Note that if two players have the same number of rooms cleared, the player with the faster time will be ranked higher on the boards.

Now, we should note that there was some controversy towards the end of Season 1 as a player who registered as a Skyverse community participant ended up switching their entry to 3Verse very close to the end of the event. This caused some stir since the rules clearly state that a player can only be registered for one team. And while the player did not break the rules because they only ended up representing 3Verse, the fact their (very good) time ended up switching to 3Verse so late gave the team a late (and decisive) advantage in the race for third place.

Therefore, for future Guild Wars, we will be implementing the following rules in regards to switching teams:

1. No player may switch teams in the last 24hrs of the competition. We will make sure to give ample warning ahead of time.

2. Players who choose to switch teams must provide a new entry for their new team.

We hope that these rules will continue to improve the tournament experience for all participants.

Today we’re ecstatically excited to discuss the arrival of Phase 2 of our Dungeon Demo Prerelease, which will roll into the full public release shortly thereafter. In fact, we’ve even got some great news for everyone — our doody devs have been working around the clock and we’ve managed to move up our production schedule for our Godlings! To wit:

Jan 17th — Planet/Star Holder Snapshot for Batch 1 Demo Game Time airdrop

Jan 18th — Game Demo page unveiled on https://marketplace.apeironnft.com/

- Game Client Download

- Planet/Star NFT holders who have undergone snapshot on 17th as well as official Apeiron partners can login and begin playing.

- Planet holders will receive an amount of game time scaling with Planet rarity. Star holders will need a Battlepass to add game time.

- Users without any Apeiron assets can burn Solar and Lunar fragments to create Lunisolar Battlepass (but will not be able to play until the 27th).

Jan 27th — General public release, non-asset holders can play should they hold a battlepass.

We already have an FAQ on the demo that goes over details about how to play and get in — check that out if you haven’t already. In this article, we’re going to take a broader perspective, providing details on the leaderboards and rewards we’ll have during Apeiron’s inaugural season, some talk about how to handle the challenging final boss fight, and reflecting on the roads and choices that got us here.

Loot, Leaderboards, and Apeiron: Season 1

First and foremost: LOOT! When you clear one of the 3 Dungeon Depths in Season 1 for the first time, you’ll be rewarded with Animus tokens, the soulbound version of our future ANIMA token. Animus can be used to reduce mini-Black Holes needed during Celestial Conjunction (Planet breeding). In the future, after our token and game launch, it will also be used to pay for Armageddon (resets) for Planet NFTs. Please beware that Animus cannot be traded. For beating all 3 Depths — including the final boss — you can earn up to 500 Animus! Animus will be displayed in our Marketplace shortly after Season 1 ends on March 1st.

On top of the Animus rewards, we’ll be putting up our competitive leaderboards! These leaderboards will serve to record speedrunning through the dungeon. Here’s the details on how the timing works:

• The time players spend in each Depth will be recorded.

• Only time spent in battle counts, beware that battle time ticks during unit placement and in-battle pause menu!

• When a Depth is completed, the time will be recorded and displayed.

• If you die, you will restart the Depth — but your time will NOT reset. So don’t die if you want to get on the leaderboards!

• When you finish all 3 Depths, your total time will be the sum of your time in all three Depths.

• Players can reset their save at any time to restart the game from the beginning of Depth 1 with a fresh timer.

• The game will calculate differences between your best/worst times at the end of each Depth.

• Best times will be saved.

Those with the best total times will make it onto our leaderboards, with the fastest doods in the land winning fabulous prizes! Here’s what you can win:

It’s all to play for! Leaderboards will go live on the 27th. Please note that it may take some time for the leaderboard to properly show the top times, but rest assured that they are being recorded and will display.

Rewards will be given as above two weeks after the end of season 1, on March 16th, and after we’ve performed our anti-cheat and rule violation evaluation of the winners. In regards to cheating, we should note that any users taking advantage of exploits will be automatically disqualified. Additionally, the top 10 on our leaderboard will be asked to perform KYC to confirm their winning times. Let’s have a fair competition in the spirit of doodiness!

Dungeon Demo Phase 2 Prerelease and Public Release: What to Expect

For Phase 2 of the prerelease into the public release, the full Dungeon Demo will be made playable, including the dungeon’s monstrous final boss. You’ll also be able to watch a series of epic cinematic cutscenes that tell a riveting tale of doody adventure as you delve deeper into the game. Mystery! Danger! Doods!

A little more about the boss: he’s tough. His attacks hit for a lot of damage, and you’ll need to be on point with your Avatar dodges. On a more advanced level, you’ll want to try and control his movement with the use of your Avatar and Apostle skills. If he starts pulling out his AoE attacks, and your Apostles get hit, they could be put in danger, which itself jeopardizes victory; squishier members of the party like the Priest or the Mage need to be kept safe. But, since you can’t order them directly to move, you’ll need to get creative. Try and get his attention using your Avatar as bait or with taunt skills from tankier Apostles. The boss is immune to stuns — so those won’t work. Good luck!

Now, on a slightly different tack, please note that you may encounter bugs in the demo. And you might be thinking: “Bugs? BUGS? After all the delays?! It should be perfect!!!” The thing is, with a normal development cycle, you would 100% finish putting all the content and features you want into your game and then bugfix. But that doesn’t really work for us: we’re constantly updating with new features as we go along so that we can get it out the door to you as soon as possible. And every time we add a new feature, there’s a chance for things to go pear-shaped…

Some bug war stories: there was a build that we had where the Rogue Apostle seemed quite powerful compared to the other DPS classes. This also was the same for enemy Rogues — a Dungeon enemy Bood Rogue could absolutely murder your Avatar if you were even the slightest bit unprepared. As it turned out, there had been an error in coding the Rogue passive. The Rogue was supposed to have an innate 10% passive chance to critically strike on each attack. But due to this error, the innate was actually set at 100% crit chance. So Rogues were critting all the time. OP! But this also meant that it was difficult to determine the relative strengths and weaknesses of the other classes, because the Rogue was so far in its own league.

And another, from relatively recently: so we had just implemented the boss fight into the game, and our internal playtesters were getting ready for a helluva fight. Except, uh, the boss didn’t seem ready for the fight. He was in the game…but he wasn’t moving. He was totally and completely stuck. And it took around 3 days for our programming team to figure out what the issue was and fix it so we could actually begin playtesting!

So with this demo, you can expect a few bugs. Nothing gamebreaking, we hope, but something here or there. If you do encounter a bug, if it seems relatively minor, just restart your client and see if that clears it up. If it’s a major problem though, or an exploit that lets you zoom through the dungeon, please let us know! We’ll have a form you can fill out on our Discord to report any bugs you run into. Together we’ll splat ‘em!

That’s all we’ll say about that. In any case, we’re excited to see what you think of Apeiron’s first gameplay release and the strategies everyone comes up with to overcome the forces of Chaos! There’s a lot of different combinations of Apostles and Avatar skills you can try out. Still, if you’re scratching your head about which Apostles to put your faith in, consider a classic Tank (Guardian or Warrior), Healer (Priest), +2 DPS (your choice of Mage, Hunter, or Rogue) combination.

The Winding Road to the Dungeon Demo

So the time for the demo to fully release is finally here, so we thought it would be neat to reflect a little on how we got here. It’s certainly been a journey! Our tale begins all the way back in July, when we got our hands on the first playable build. For this first build, we were working with a partner studio who produced it according to our specifications. And while it ticked many of our boxes, there was a lot of internal discussion about areas for improvement.

LoreKeeper (Frank Cheng, our CEO) wanted combat movement to be faster, LoreScribbler (Gem Ng, our CTO) was interested in reconfiguring the codebase, and our trio of Chief Artists were keen on polishing up the graphics. So we decided to delay, which was a tough call — but one that we think was worth it, because the demo we have now is not only awesome and fun, but also gives us solid foundations for everything else we’ve got lined up over the coming months and years. And we have a lot of plans!

We’re so excited that this month Apeiron will be publicly playable for the first time, and we can’t wait to hear what you think. It’s been over half a decade to make this dream a reality, and to see it happening now…well, it brings a happy tear to our doody eyes :_)

Hey there! We have some juicy details to share with you today: we’re going to review everything you need to know about our upcoming gameplay demo, including how to get in, how to play, and what kind of prizes we have up for grabs!

This blog will be split as follows: the first section will cover the Pre-release version happening this Christmas. Then we’ll talk a little bit in the second section about gameplay you can expect and how to play. Finally, the third section will address the public release, which will happen roughly a month from the date of this post, earlier or later depending on what kind of feedback we get from prerelease.

There’s a lot to dig into, so no messing about — let’s get down to it.

Prerelease

Q: How do I get into the prerelease?

You need to own a Primeval Planet and then go to Discord to the #alpha-spec-ops channel to fill out a form. This will serve as your application to the prerelease. We’ll then check your Primeval Planet and whitelist your IP address so you can access our Marketplace Alpha website. You’ll receive an email this weekend, which contains the demo itself and instructions on how to make an account on the Marketplace Alpha website — even if you already have an official Marketplace account. Once you have your Marketplace Alpha account and linked your email address, you’re good to go.

Q: I received the email but I can’t access Marketplace Alpha! What should I do? Message LoreKeeper on Discord a million times?

PLEASE BE PATIENT. You can open a support ticket on Discord or contact LoreKeeper directly should you run into problems.

Q: I use a VPN or do not have a static IP, what should I do?

We will process these applications separately and will provide a temporary account for access, but this process will take longer, again, please be patient.

Q: Ok I’ve signed up on Alpha and am ready to go! What now?

Download the Demo from the email and use your email and password login from the Alpha Marketplace to log in! Each prerelease account have 3 hours of game time (deducted within battles only), lets see if you can conquer the dungeon within this time frame!

Q: Oh hey look at that, I got it! Can I stream it?

Yes! Go for it. Share it to your heart’s content.

Q: Cool, I downloaded it. This is singleplayer, right? Why do I need an internet connection to play?

Please note that since we require login to your Marketplace Alpha account in order to play, you’ll need to have an internet connection to access the demo.

Q: What if I have something else to do and need to close the game — will I lose my time or my progress?

Nope! All progress is saved server-side. You can close the game, go about your business, and come back to pick up right where you left off.

Q: Can I pause it and run to the bathroom if I need to?

Of course! The pause button is in the upper right hand corner.

Starting the Game and Objectives

Q: How do I start the game once I’ve set up everything?

First, you’ll select your Avatar — at first, only the Tempest Wisdom Avatar will be available, although we plan to add the other Tempest Avatar classes later. Then, after you’ve chosen your Avatar, you’ll enter the first of the Dungeon Depths. There are three Depths total, and you’ll need to clear all three Depths to finish the demo.

Q: …what happens if I die before reaching the end?

You’ll be forced to restart from the beginning of the Depth you died in. So if you died in the middle of Depth 2, back to the start of Depth 2. All dead Apostles will be revived, Avatar level up progress, items, and money will be retained, so you don’t need to worry about that.

Q: …is it very hard to reach the end?

Depth 1 is quite manageable. Depth 2 and 3 the difficulty ramps up. Don’t be surprised if you need multiple attempts to clear the lower depths! Don’t worry, clearing the Demo with 1 life is absolutely achievable, for the skillful :P

Q: AHH! I FOUND A BUG! (I think). What should I do?

Since this is an early build, you may encounter a bug. DO NOT SPAM DISCORD CHAT. As we finish with our build rollouts, we’ll put together a form for you to fill in with suggestions, feedback, and bug reports. Also, if you ever get stuck with a bug and are not sure what to do — just restart the game. Your progress will be saved, so don’t worry.

Playing the Demo

Q: Alright I think I’m ready to play now. How do I do that?

Once you’ve chosen a Depth to try, you’ll be presented with a choice of several rooms to enter. There are different kinds of rooms: battles, elite battles, campfires, and shops. Each room connects to more rooms. Go through all the rooms in a Depth and you’ve cleared it! Along the way, dood Apostles will join your Avatar’s party, adding their strength to yours. You’ll also be able to level up your Avatar, getting more skills and also powerful passive abilities to improve your combat effectiveness.

Q: How does combat work?

We have a number of articles on that (I, II, and III), but if you want the quick version: battles are fought in real time. You have a deck of skill cards that you draw from during battle. Use your skills to defeat all enemies! You’ll directly control the movement and attacks of your Avatar during the battle. The Apostles who join you will add their unique skill cards to your skill deck for your use, and move and attack on their own.

Q: How do I use the skill cards?

In terms of how to control everything, don’t worry — there’ll be an in-game tutorial to walk you through how to maneuver around the battlefield and use your skills.

Q: What kind of challenges are there in the dungeon?

There are normal battle routes and elite battle routes, the normal route nets you less currency but is relatively manageable. The elite battle route contain unique and sadistic challenges, with more rewards of course, enter at your own peril. At the very end of depth 2 and 3, there’s a particularly large creature. He’s a tough nut to crack!

Q: Yikes! Any tips or tricks for new players? Any insider info on how to succeed?

LK — “Remember to visit the talent tree every now and then to allocate new skill points or to switch to new skills. You can also read up on your Apostle skills here, which is great for strategic battle planning.”

LS — “Skills are designed to be used in combination. The Warrior’s Leap Strike deals double damage to stunned targets…so find an Apostle to stun first and then get the bonus effect. I would recommend using at least four different Apostles to get the full gameplay experience!”

LM — “I like to use 2 Guardians and 2 Priests with Avatar attacking, or 3 Rogues and a Priest with Avatar for buffing and controlling.”

J — “Different people will use their Avatar in different ways. Pick Apostles that match your preferred playstyle!”

Public Release

Q: How do I get into the demo?

You’re going to need a Lunisolar Battle Pass. Battle Passes are forged from two unique NFTs: the Lunar Fragment and the Solar Fragment. Both the Lunar and Solar Fragments can be purchased on Opensea, but some of our events on Discord offer Lunar Fragments as rewards so do look out for those too!

Q: I’ve heard this is a NFT game where you need a Planet NFT to play. Do I need to own a Planet in order to play the demo?

Nope! For the public release of the demo, you just need to have the Solar and Lunar Fragments.

Q: Ok so I have both Solar and Lunar Fragments. What do I do now?

Once you have both fragments, you can forge your own Lunisolar Battle Pass. To do that, it’s as simple as going to our Marketplace website, where you’ll find a dedicated demo page. Go to that page, click the button to make your Battle Pass, and then you’ll be given access to download the game.

Q: Cool, I downloaded it. How long can I play for?

After you’ve downloaded the game, you’ll login using your official Apeiron Marketplace account, and then you’ll be given ONE HOUR of playtime. If you have any additional Battle Passes, you can extend your playtime by an hour for every Battle Pass you own. So if you have three Battle Passes, you can get three hours of playtime, etc. etc.

Q: Woah! What if I need to go to the bathroom? Does it count my time then?

Actually only the time spent on the battlefield counts against the clock. Time spent in the dungeon menus looking at skills and items doesn’t count.

Q: What if I have something else to do and need to close the game — will I lose my time or my progress?

Nope! All progress is saved server-side. You can close the game, go about your business, and come back to pick up right where you left off.

Q: Cool, I got it! I’m going to beat it easily hahaha. If I beat the whole demo, what kind of prizes can I win?

The demo launch is a big step for us — the first time our gameplay goes live to the public — so we’re going to have all sorts of prizes available to win!

First, for completion — which means clearing all Depths and beating the final boss — players can win Animus, which is a non-tradeable version of our play-to-earn token Anima. The Animus will serve a variety of functions in game — including breeding planets, making relics, and chronomerging — and will give you an important boost for at the time of full game launch.

We’ll also have leaderboards for speed of clearing: chart toppers will be able to win fabulous prizes including rare Primeval Planets, and even rare Stars.

Then, there will be Feedback Bounties on our Discord, giving out rewards for providing feedback on the demo. Rewards may include Foonie Emblems, USDC, and Souls.

Finally, there will be some quests on social media for sharing and spreading the word on our demo.

Q: Now that I’ve beaten the demo and collected my rewards, will my progress be saved?

Your rewards will carry over to the full launch, while your progress will not.

Hello everyone! As we get closer to our game launch later this year, we can expect some fresh faces to join our community. As such, we thought it might be helpful to put out a beginner’s guide to Apeiron so new doods can hit the ground running.

(1) Introduction to Apeiron

Apeiron is the world’s first (and only!) God Game x eSports franchise. It’s actually not just a god game, but a unique fusion of game genres, taking inspiration from card battlers, roguelikes and massively multiplayer online games. Apeiron is presently in development, with the game scheduled for release in Q4 2022.

In Apeiron, you take on the role of a godling — a newborn “wandering god” — called up from the infinite beyond by the High Goddess Cosmos, who needs reinforcements in her war against the mad High God Chaos and his insidious Taint. As a godling, you will rule over your own Planet of Doods, who are these cute and chubby little yellow creatures who kind of look like chickens. They need your help! A lot of help (they’re kind of dumb, but in an adorable way).

As a godling, you’ll be able to take control of your world’s Avatar — a giant construct — and explore dungeons and unlock the mysteries of the godiverse. You’ll get sweet skills and recruit heroic Dood Apostles to join you in your adventures. Then, when you level up enough, you can head on over to the Hourglass Coliseum and face other godlings in ritual combat! Fun times.

To play Apeiron, you’ll need a Planet NFT, which is where the primary gameplay loop takes place. So let’s take a closer look at Planets and how they work…

(2) Planets

Planet NFTs are your gateway to playing the game. The god game simulation and dungeon delving happen largely on your Planet. You need a Planet to start playing: you can either buy one for yourself on our Marketplace or you can rent one through a scholarship so you can start playing for free — in this case a portion of the tokens you earn will go to whoever owns the Planet.

Planets come with different elemental distributions that determine the type of Avatar you have. There are four elements: earth, water, air, and fire. If you’re looking to just try out everything the game has to offer, get a Normal Planet, which is a combination of all four elements. This will give you a very balanced gameplay experience.

On the other hand, if you want to play competitively or do some endgame content, you may want to look into getting a Planet with a higher elemental concentration — a tri-, duo-, or even mono-element Planet. Planets with higher levels of elemental concentration will have Avatars with access to more powerful Skills.

If you manage to pick up multiple Planets, you can even “breed” them! This is a ritual called Celestial Conjunction, and it takes the spiritual essence of two Planets to produce a third. With clever breeding, you can produce your own perfect world.

Another thing about your Planets is that they age — and, like a good wine or cheese, the older your Planet, the stronger they become. Specifically, older Planets will unlock more Relic slots — Relics are items and equipment that provide all sorts of powerful bonuses. The thing is, Planets age pretty slowly on a regular basis. And that’s where Stars come in.

(3) Stars

Star NFTs jumpstart your Planet’s aging, boosting it up so you can unlock your world’s Relic slots zippity-quick. Each Star comes with a number of Orbital Tracks, and you can park your Planets in any of these empty Tracks and get the aging boost from the Star. And if you have any empty Tracks that you aren’t using, you can either let your friends’ Planets hang out there, or you can rent them out to other players as a form of passive income. Neat!

Besides granting Orbital Tracks and boosting Planet aging, Stars also raise the limit on how many players you can invite to your Alliance, making them the foundations for Alliance building. Then, each Star is part of a Constellation that — if completed — which is to say, when every Star in that Constellation is owned by your Alliance — you’ll get additional passive bonuses! Bonuses on top of buffs on top of powerups: Stars can help you take your Apeiron gameplay to the next level.

In terms of getting a Star, we’re actually in the middle of preparing for our Sacred Star Presale right now. If you want to know more about that, we put out some articles about it, or you can just head to our Discord server and ask around. Speaking of which…

(4) Getting Started on our Discord

Our Discord server has a lot going on, and is a great place to meet cool new people, talk about Apeiron, and get ready for the game launch through participating in the events we have. There’s a lot going on, but how do you get started and how can you get the most out of it? We’ve got some tips and tricks to share!

First, you want to chat until chat level 3. You can either hang out in the General channel, which is primarily in English, or head to one of our many language channels to chat in another language you might speak.

Once you hit level 3, you can head over to the #active-events channel to see if there’s anything you’re interested in joining. Pretty much all of our events have some sweet rewards going for them — even Planets! — and are a blast to play with community friends, so get involved!

Then, when you hit chat level 5, you can start on your alignment journey by doing #doodiquests. These are twice daily missions that give you unique moral situations and choices between good and evil. By reaching higher levels of good or evil, you’ll unlock exclusive channels with specially curated events with even juicier rewards! Additionally, just by doing Doodiquests, you’ll also start getting Souls, which you can exchange at our Discord’s Soul Shops for all sorts of Apeiron goodies.

On a basic level, that’s it! Do your daily Doodiquests and join some events and you’ll set yourself up well for playing Apeiron when the game launches. Then, if you really feel passionately about Apeiron, you can get more involved by becoming a DADI — these are our community leaders who we work closely with, and who help us to spread the word about Apeiron. DADIs will even earn a special currency called “Sugar” which can be exchanged for either NFTs or even just flat USDC on a monthly basis.

(5) Wrap-up

There’s a lot of information here, so let’s try and condense it into the bare necessities:

• To play Apeiron, just get one Planet

• To play early and enjoy supporter benefits, get a Primeval Planet (one of the first Planet NFTs ever made — can get on Marketplace)

• To invest in Apeiron, buy multiple Planets and start breeding to create your own Planet farm. Sell and rent Planets to new Players and start earning.

• If you want to invest but don’t have time to breed or play, buy a Star and earn passively through renting out Tracks.

• If you love Apeiron but aren’t sure about investing, join our Discord and participate in events for chances to win Planets directly.

• For those fans who are super passionate, become a DADI and help us spread the word — you’ll earn a special currency which you can translate into NFTs or even USDC on a monthly basis.

• And for those who are crazy about Apeiron and can’t get enough, do either all of the above or some combination of it! Create your own empire and be an entrepreneur as an Apeiron partner.

Tons of stuff going on in the Apeiron godiverse recently — just a couple of days ago we announced some of the details of our Sacred Star Presale coming up next month, and we also have our first Mini Guild Wars commencing today (9pm GMT+8 to be specific)! But the hits don’t stop comin’, and they don’t stop comin’, and they don’t stop comin’…

In today’s blog we’re introducing the 3rd of our Apeiron Battle Design Primers as we build-up towards the release of our battle demo! Last week’s Primer touched on Avatars, the most powerful units on the battlefield that you’ll personally take control of. Now we’re going to focus on the supporting cast: the stalwart Apostles who will be fighting by your side.

One more thing: following up from our previous post about our Sacred Star Presale, we want y’all to know that we’ve heard the community’s feedback and are making some changes, including removing Mark requirements for VID Whitelist and making it easier for some of our asset holders to get whitelisted.

We also want to stress that in the future the majority of Stars will be obtained through Nebula Expeditions, which are only accessible to asset holders. Please rest assured there will be more to go around and we will be working with our community closely as we move forward.

Ok, that’s our updates done and dusted, let’s get to our topic du jour…

Apostles! Apostles are the Dood Heroes who accompany your Avatar into battle, your most devout of followers. There are 12 Apostle classes, and each class has a Skill Card pool of 8 unique skills. When you obtain an Apostle, it will come with 3 random skills from its class’ pool, which you can then add to your 15-card battle deck by bringing along that Apostle into battle. Each of the classes serves slightly different functionalities…

This table should give you a rough idea! Besides their Skills, Apostles also have their own innate abilities that will trigger when an Apostle is energized (having received and dealt a certain amount of damage).

Once in battle, you won’t control your Apostles directly, instead giving orders through using their Skills. When not using Skills, your Apostles will walk forward across the battlefield until they come in range of an enemy unit, which they’ll then start to auto-attack.

For the battle demo, you’ll be able to see a few different skills and abilities in action, which we’ll reveal here! Let’s check ’em out, with a quick caveat…

Note: All below Skills and Innate abilities should be considered as a work-in-progress, and may not reflect the final form. We retain the right to change any or all of the following as we continue to develop the game.

Warrior

Warriors are masters of both offensive and defensive combat, making them reliable frontline heroes. They come with a diverse mix of close-combat Skills and have decent health and armor, helping them to sustain themselves during drawn out fighting.

Innate Ability: Hangry Whirlwind — [Energized] Strikes nearby enemies, dealing [100%ATK] physical damage, and heals himself for 30% of total damage done.

Skills:

• Jump’n’Bash — Leaps to the target enemy’s location and strikes them to deal [x] physical damage. If the target is slowed or stunned, they take double damage instead.

• Flying Axe — Throws an axe in the target direction, dealing damage to the first enemy hit and slowing them 20% for 2 seconds.

• Slamma Jamma — After 2s, the Caster flails its weapon in a cone in the target direction, dealing [x](+75%ATK) physical damage to enemies hit and knocking them up for 0.5s. If any of the enemies are slowed or stunned, they take double damage instead. Damage dealt to Avatar increases to 150%.

Mage

Mages are intelligent wizards that can call upon various elemental powers. The majority of Mage Skills do Area of Effect (AoE) damage. A well-timed Fireball could be all you need to win, but missing it could also lose you the fight…

Innate Ability: Spirit Bomb — [Energized] Projects an energy orb at the enemy Avatar’s current target location, which lands after 1s, dealing [50 + 60% INT] magic damage to all enemies in the area upon impact.

Skills:

• Lift // Fall — Knocks up all enemy Apostles within target area for 3s, dealing [x](+15% Max HP) magic damage upon landing.

• Danger Circle — Flings a magical circle in the target direction, dealing [75](+30%INT) magic damage to the first 2 enemies it passes through and stunning them for 1.5s.

• Starcaller — Calls down 10 Meteors over 5s that randomly strike over the target area, each dealing [60](+50%INT) magic damage.

Rogue

Rogues excel in assassinations. Using sneaky and stealthy Skills, Rogues slide into position and then burst squishy targets, such as enemy casters. Taking out a Mage can be very powerful, but getting out from behind enemy lines can be the tricky part.

Innate Ability: From Behind — [Energized] Leaps behind an enemy with the lowest HP in range and deals [x](+100% ATK) physical damage on-hit.

Skills:

• Sneaky Strike — The Caster gains +50% bonus attack speed on its next 4 basic attack within 4s. The final basic attack deals +50% bonus damage.

• Can’t Touch This — Dodge all incoming basic attacks for 3s. At the end of the effect, deal [40](+20% ATK) physical damage to nearby opponents, increased by 20% for each attack dodged.

• Ninjutsu — The caster creates a Shadow Clone, before teleporting to the target position. The clone has 100% of the caster’s attributes, and loses 10% of its maximum HP per second, and auto-attacks the closest enemy.

Guardian

Guardians protect their allies with defensive skills, acting as the team’s primary Tank. They will stick near allies that need the most help and offer additional sustainability to the whole team with life-saving buffs and light healing.

Innate Ability: Sentinel’s Smash — [Energized] Smashes enemies in front of him with his shield, dealing [50](+5% maximum HP)(+20% ATK) physical damage and knocking them back.

Skills:

• I’m Coming! — Dashes to the ally with the lowest HP in range, prioritizing the Avatar, and shields both for [60](+20%INT) for 3s.

• Day of Judgement — Calls upon a heavenly strike to the target enemy, dealing [150](+30% of target’s missing health) magic damage. Avatars take half damage.

• Shield Bash — Leaps to the target enemy’s location, dealing [60](+50%DEF) physical damage and stunning it for 2s.

Hunter

Hunters snipe out distant enemies. Using allies as cover, Hunters can take down the enemy team one-by-one. They have Skills which allow them to Lock-On to certain targets, providing even MORE damage. However, in close combat, they’ll fall pretty quickly.

Innate Ability: Sniped! — [Energized] Spawn a Hunting Mark on two random enemies for 4s. Attack damage from allies against the target detonates the mark, dealing [50]+(15%ATK) physical damage.

Skills:

• Piercing Shot — The caster takes aim, and after 1.5s, it shoots a piercing arrow to the enemy Avatar, dealing [100](+40%ATK) physical damage to the first 2 enemies hit along the path. Damage dealt is doubled if the shot hits the enemy Avatar.

• In the Zone — Enter “focus mode” for 6 seconds. The caster becomes rooted and gains 45% attack speed, while empowering its auto-attacks, which fire additional arrows at up to 2 enemies in front of it, each dealing [0](+40%ATK) physical damage.

• Sliding Dash — The caster becomes untargetable for 0.75 seconds, blinks to the target location, and stuns all enemy Apostles with 50% or less HP upon arrival. The cost of “Sliding Dash” while in hand is reduced by 1 for every auto-attack the caster makes.

Priest

Priests are your healers. They have the most powerful healing Skills out of all Apostles, and can even instantly resurrect fallen allies. On top of that, offensively speaking, they also have Skills that will deal massive damage to enemies that kill allies.

Innate Ability: Juicin’ Up — [Energized] Restores [125] HP to the lowest HP ally. Healing is increased to [250] on targets below 40% Health.

Skills:

• Revenge — Selects an ally, dealing [50](+10%INT) magic damage to all enemies near it. Damage dealt increases proportional to the targeted ally’s missing HP, up to 50%.

• Divine Fountain — Creates a zone at the target location for 10s, healing all allies for [10](+15% INT) HP within the area every second.

• Cheerleading — Enhances caster’s and an ally’s attack speed by 25% and 30INT for 6s.

Now then, you might be wondering, where do you pick up Apostles? How do you get ‘em? Well, Apostles are actually NFTs, and there are exclusive Origins Collection Apostles available for purchase on OpenSea right now! Then, once the game launches, you’ll be able to rescue the souls of lost Apostles from the Manifold Paths of Dirac to add to your roster.

Hello Apeiron Faithful! In last week’s blog post, we laid out the fundamentals of Apeiron’s unique card-battling system — definitely check it out (HERE) if you haven’t already, since this article will assume that you have some basic knowledge of how it all fits together. Now, for today, we’re zooming in our focus for an in-depth analysis of undoubtedly the most powerful units on the battlefield: the Avatars.

But, as usual, we have a quick reminder for you first: Apeiron’s Got Talent show is going live TOMORROW! Alright, now let’s move along, and talk about Avatars. Each Avatar has a distribution of 100 elemental points based on its Planet. Specifically, there are 15 different planet types of varying elemental combinations, and 3 classes for each Avatar — giving us a total of 45 different Avatar types!

The elements themselves serve different purposes and each bring their own strengths and weaknesses to the table:

1. Earth
   Earth Element is a natural defender, having skills to boost health and defence, while applying shields to its ally. It also has aggressive skills to disable enemies by stunning and rooting them, with utility spells to spawn forests for some interesting battle dynamics.
   Avatars with predominantly Earth skills might look to complement their innate tankiness and crowd control abilities (CC) by bringing Apostles that need some protection but have high damage potential — the Mage or the Summoner, for example. OR you could go in the other direction and bring some Warriors and Guardians for a team that is just extremely hard to break down.

2. Water
   Water Element excels in magical power. With substantial cooldown reduction and versatile magical skills, it offers both sustainable damage to enemies and support to allies.
   Avatars with predominantly Water skills offer a lot of different deckbuilding possibilities, given that they can either act as supports for an aggressively slanted frontline of Knights, Rogues, and Dragoons, or as the primary damage dealer protected by Guardians, Knights, and Warriors. Conversely, you could utilize the cooldown reduction and bring along some Shamans and Bards to start spamming powerful skills at a higher rate.

3. Fire
   Fire Element is raging and destructive. With a collection of AOE damaging skills, enemies turn into ashes in a glimpse, even if it sometimes means sacrificing allies…
   Avatars with predominantly Fire skills will certainly bring the pain to the opponent, but at what cost? You could offset the friendly-fire AoE damage by bringing Priests and Guardians to heal and survive through the onslaught. On the other hand, you could lean into the danger and bring along some Berserkers, who thrive on low health, for a high risk, high reward strategy!

4. Air
   Air Element pursues speed. Faster movement, faster attack, faster to stampede the enemies. While it is too fast for the opponent to respond, the controller also has to be quick enough to handle all of the game actions.
   Avatars with predominantly Air skills are fast moving but will require good micro and targeting of abilities to have their maximum effect on the battlefield. These skills are more challenging for players to master, but will reward those who spend the time to learn them. Given that players will be spending their time during battle maneuvering their Avatar, they may wish to select easier to use Apostles, such as the Warrior or the Hunter, who can mostly take care of themselves.

Cool, so that gives you an idea of how the Elements will affect your teambuilding strategies, now let’s talk about skills. Specifically, Avatars will come with three different kinds of skills: Boons, Perks, and Skills.

Note: All below Boons, Skills, and Perks should be considered as a work-in-progress, and may not reflect the final form of the ability. We retain the right to change any or all of the following as we continue to develop the game.

Boons are special passives and energized abilities associated with each Avatar type and class that offer powerful effects for you to build around. Each of the passive Boons are linked with a Planet type, while the energized Boons are defined by the Avatar’s class. Here are some examples of passive Boons for different planet types:

• Wasteland — Waste Warrior Glare — Deal increased damage to immobilized targets.

• Delta — River Run — After casting an Avatar Skill, the Avatars next movement within a certain range executes in the form of a Blink.

• Gigas — Titanic Might — Whenever an Apostle, ally or foe, dies within a certain range of the Avatar, the host gains bonus max HP, as well as an increased size, capping at double the Avatar’s original size.

Perks are another set of passives — but rather than being unlocked automatically, these are unlocked by investing elemental points. Elemental points are gained through leveling up your Avatar, and are spent on unlocking and improving different perks — up to 20 elemental points can be spent upgrading the effects of each perk. Perks are divided between the four elemental skill trees of Earth, Water, Air, and Fire.

Note that you will not be able to invest more elemental points than you have elemental distribution. So for example if you have a Planet with only 10% Fire, you would only be able to invest 10 elemental points in the Fire tree. Additionally, certain Perks may have their own prerequisites before they can be unlocked.

There are 8 perks to unlock for each elemental skill tree. Multiple Perks may be used at the same time in battle. Let’s take a look at some of the different perks from the Fire tree:

• Ignited Savagery (Fire Perk Level 2) — The Avatar’s skills ignore a % of enemies’ defense and resistance.

• Burning Fury (Fire Perk Level 4) — The Avatar gains a stack of Burning Fury every 30 seconds, stacking up to 10 times. Each stack grants the Avatar a % of their ATK as a bonus.

• Blazing Pride (Fire Perk Level 6) — Discard actions now cost an amount of the Avatar’s flat HP rather than Mana.

Skills are unlocked in a similar fashion to Perks. Every 20 points a new tier within an elemental tree will unlock, and each tier will come with more Skill cards for the player to choose from to add to their deck. There will be four tiers.

Additionally, Skill cards are linked to both element and class. There will also be special skills unlocked through reaching certain alignment levels (between good and evil), but we’ll have more information on Alignment Skill cards at a later date.

Let’s see some of the Skills that will be available from the first tier of each branch for different classes:

• Windy Rebuke — Air Tier 1 Skill/The Wisdom — Dashes to an allied hero, gaining ghosted (ignores unit collision). While granting 20% bonus movement speed and a shield equivalent to [x](+80%INT) to the target and itself upon arrival for 3 seconds.

• Rising Sun Slash — Fire Tier 1 Skill/The Fury — Slashes the area around the caster, dealing [x] magic damage to enemies within, then jumps to the target location, and deals the same amount of damage to enemies hit on impact and slowing them by 60%.

• Snow Shaping — Water Tier 1 Skill/The Fate — Throws a snowball to the target enemy, dealing [x] physical damage. The snowball then falls near the target after 1 second, where it remains for up to 4 seconds. Upon retrieving the snowball, the Avatar summons a Snow Thrall Apostle, while also granting the Avatar a shield equivalent to 20% of the Avatar’s max HP for 3 seconds. If the snowball kills the target, it bounces back to the top of your deck.

• Unyielding Rock — Earth Tier 1 Skill/The Fury — Creates an immovable rock at the target location for 5 seconds, knocking back all units directly from it to a location 1 unit from its center on-cast, dealing [x](+50%INT) magic damage to all enemies hit, while slowing them by 40%.

Ok! That’s probably enough for now. Plus, I can see the battle design guys looking at me, I don’t think they want me to give out any more spoilers today haha. Anyway! Greetings Godlings! It’s been a long time coming, but today we’re thrilled to finally be able to introduce to you all some of the details of our battle system! We’ll be unpacking more and more over the course of the month as we lead up to the release of our gameplay demo, so there’s a lot to look forward to! And indeed, there’s a lot to cover today, so without further ado — let’s get to it!

Before we dive in, a quick mention that today we have our Summer Spectacular Exhibition Match against our friends from Guildfi (14:00 UTC)! Come on down and join us for what is sure to be an incredible game of Arena of Valor, cheer on our Apeiron Apostles, and snag some Foonie Emblems!

We’ll start with the big picture stuff and then work our way in from there. Apeiron’s battle system is a variation of a card auto-battler. You’ll take control of your Avatar, while your Dood Apostles will fight around you. Key to the flow of the fight will be using your skill cards. Precisely controlling the timing and position of these skills during the chaos of battle is what will separate the victor from the defeated!

There are a few key concepts here:

• The Avatar — Fully controllable, and the most important unit on the battlefield — loss of the Avatar means losing the battle.

• Apostles — Semi-controllable units that assist Avatar. Will move and auto-attack on their own, but will respond to players using skills.

• Battle Team — A full team consists of one Avatar and up to four Apostles.

• Battle Deck — A combination of skill cards from the Avatar and Apostles. Each unit is able to bring 3 skill cards into battle, resulting in a 15 card deck (3 skill cards for Avatar, 12 for the four Apostles).

Once a battle has started, players will be whisked away to the battle map, and the battle will commence. There are 3 phases to each battle:

1. Deployment Phase
   a. Draw 4 cards from shuffled deck
   b. Position units strategically on your half of the battlefield
   c. In PvP, you can see the enemy team composition, but not position

2. Battle Phase
   a. Lasts for a maximum of 6 minutes
   b. Cards in hand are played by spending mana
   c. Issue move and attack commands for your Avatar while timing skills

3. End Phase
   a. The end of the battle will happen when either the opposing Avatar is dead OR the timer counts down to zero.
   b. If the timer counts down to zero, the team with the higher health Avatar wins!

Now let’s explore some of the battle mechanics in more detail, starting with…

Mana — Mana is shared among all five units, and is used to play cards from hand. Each team begins with 5 mana and has a maximum capacity of 10. Mana is regenerated at a rate of 0.5 mana per second, doubling to 1 mana per second at 3 minutes (halfway into the battle).

Every card has a mana cost — if you don’t have enough mana to pay the cost, you can’t play the card. Additionally, when the mana bar is full, any new mana generated is lost. Make sure to spend your mana!

Energy — Each unit has an energy bar beneath its HP bar. It starts at 0 and goes up to 100. Every auto attack generates 10 energy, while every instance of damage taken generates energy equal to 20% of damage, capped at 50 energy per instance.

Once a unit has reached maximum energy (becomes energized), it will auto-cast a special ability. Once the ability has been used, energy will go back to 0.

Deck and Skill Cards — A deck consists of 15 cards, each card corresponding to a specific unit. Players draw 4 cards from the shuffled deck at the start of the battle. They will also be able to see the next card on top of the draw pile.

After a card is played, it is immediately replaced in the hand by the next card on top of the draw pile. If the draw pile is empty, then the discard pile is shuffled into the draw pile.

Players looking for a specific skill at a key moment may choose to discard a card. Discarding a card costs 1 mana, and then a new card is immediately drawn from the top of the draw pile.

Apostle Death and Respawn — When an Apostle dies, its corresponding skill cards will be greyed out and disabled until the Apostle is respawned. These cards may still be discarded. The Apostle may be respawned by spending a certain amount of mana.

Finally, let’s take a look at some of the statistics that units will have. Units will have Primary and Secondary stats. Most skill cards scale with primary stats, but some perks and passives could improve secondary stats.

Primary Stats

1. Health
   Unit starts with its maximum HP. Taking damage reduces HP. Reaching 0 HP results in death. When an Avatar dies, that player loses the game. When an Apostle dies, it is withdrawn from the battlefield and can be respawned later.

2. Attack
   Determines the power of basic attack. Many physical skills also scale with attack. Units with higher ATK deal more physical damage in general.

3. Attack Speed
   Represents the number of basic attacks made per second.

4. Intelligence
   Determines the power of certain skills. Many magical skills scale with intelligence. Units with higher intelligence deals more magical damage in general.

5. Defence
   Reduces physical damage taken and is related to a concept called “damage modifier.” Damage modifier = 100 / (Defence + 100). 0 Defence means taking direct damage without any damage reduction, 100 Defence leads to a damage modifier value of 0.5, hence taking only 50% damage compared to 0 Defence.

6. Resistance
   Similar to defence. Reduce magical damage taken.

Secondary Stats

1. Attack Range
   Determines the distance at which a unit can initiate a basic attack on an enemy. Units can attack without moving as long as the enemy is within range.

2. Movement
   Determines how fast units move across the battlefield.

3. Critical Chance
   Probability of triggering a critical strike via basic attack, which deals higher damage than ATK. Default is 0.

4. Critical Damage
   Represented in % of ATK. It shows the damage of a critical strike. Default is 150%.

5. Tenacity
   Reduces the duration of most crowd control status, in terms of percentage.

6. Health Regeneration
   The rate at which a unit’s health is naturally restored.

7. Energy Regeneration
   The rate at which a unit’s energy is naturally restored. Default is 0.

8. Vamp
   Percentage of the damage done that heals the damage dealer.
