Hey doods! We have a fun bonus blog to share with you today: a chat with Max from Crypto INSIDE, one of our top content creators and a player in the recently concluded Apeiron Season 2 Guild Wars.

Max has been doing incredibly well at building a community and bringing people together to play Apeiron — demonstrated by an incredible dark horse run at the AGW, snagging 3rd place in a run that included beating teams Generative Dungeon, Web3Clipse, and Zombie Club.

We love seeing content creators coming in and making a splash, so we thought it would be neat to share an interview with him and hear his Apeiron story. Let us know if you enjoy this blog and if you’d like to see more interviews like this!

Foonie Magus (FM): Hi there Max! Maybe we can start with you just telling us very briefly who you are and what you do?

Max: Hi I’m Max. I played under the nickname Daryus for the AGW tournament. I’m a content creator mostly working on YouTube and founder of Crypto INSIDE.

FM: Great! So no beating around the bush: what led you to become a content creator?

Max: I think the very opportunity to participate and test my skills was what drew me to content creation. And then I got interested in web3 through games like Axie Infinity. But to be honest I had fallen a little bit out of web3 stuff until I came across Apeiron.

FM: Oooo interesting. Let’s delve deeper into that line of thought. How did you find out about Apeiron? First impressions?

Max: I found out about the game something like half a year ago. I came across a video on YouTube (if I’m not mistaken the video was made by guys from PROCENT — which shows your promotion strategy works!) and then there was season 1 on…I think it was Fractal. So I downloaded the game and tested it out. I liked the game — it has really interesting mechanics and unique gameplay — and started to learn more about it.

FM: Yeah and this led you to join our content creation program right?

Max: It did. Fun fact, I ended up applying on the last day of the last day of the programme. I’m very happy I got in haha!

FM: So are we! Let’s talk about the Apeiron programme. What does it do differently? How did it measure up to your expectations?

Max: Apeiron’s program for content creators is the best on the market. It provides all the tools to attract audiences in these difficult times and the terms of cooperation to attract more and more people to the project. From my point of view, I can identify three major factors that play a play in why I think the programme is great:

First, the Apeiron team. They are interesting and open people who will help with any question and listen to constructive criticism on the game. I think that’s the most important factor in why the programme works so well.

Second, the rewards. In such a market only Apeiron has made this kind of programme, which shows the seriousness of the project. This is a strong motivation for content creators to get acquainted with the game and introduce their community to the amazing project.

Third, the game has a cool established community, with a lot of cool guys who spend a lot of time on Discord. It’s very satisfying to be a part of and interact with everybody.

You can say that the program exceeded all my expectations. I am very happy with this experience and such opportunities. I’ll do my best to make more people aware of Apeiron!

FM: Yes and you’ve been doing awesome in that regard. How have you found success as an Apeiron content creator? How did you get people to try out and stick with our game?

Max: At that time I was already active on YouTube and had about 800–1000 subscribers. I made a few videos about the game (looking back, I realize I could have done better — ehhh perfectionism). But the most important factor that led to my success is that I split the rewards with the players. I gave the $5 earned per person to the person himself, motivating him to fulfill certain conditions in the game and giving him the opportunity to love the game. I was just being generous and it paid off big time. Example — thanks to this kind of promotion I gathered cool guys who loved the game and we took 3rd place in the 2nd season of the AGW.

FM: Yes congrats on that finish! Speaking more about it, what kind of approach did you team take to the tournament, and how did it contribute to your excellent run?

Max: We would all play individually as much as we could then we would do a call together to discuss our thoughts on our playthroughs and then combine our notes to create different strategies. In particular, we were looking to see if we all reached the same conclusions independently — then we could be confident it was a good strategy.

Also we had Rufka, who is a very strong player…even though he is an ancient 32 year old haha. He was our ace in the hole!

FM: Favorite Avatar? Apostle? Skill?

Max: I actually like all the classes, but the Fate is fun for his ranged auto-attacks and mobility. But as for my favorite combination, the Wisdom Avatar with Mage Apostle — a meteorite and a 5-mana skill that breaks half your face — is hard to beat.

FM: We won’t argue with that haha. We’re getting close to wrapping things up but I also wanted to ask — as someone who brings in a lot of new players, do you have any advice for them, to get them started strong on their Apeiron journey?

Max: Apeiron is a big game with a lot of content. So I would say the best way to start is by trying all Avatars and all Apostles and seeing what you like. Then, if you want to play more competitively, checking out guides on YT, reading up and chatting on Discord, and learning the top strategies will be helpful. But also you must play with your heart and soul.

FM: We love that! Ok, well, we’re just about out of time but we wanted to ask if you have any acknowledgements you’d like to make?

Max: Yes I do actually. First, I’d like to thank the Apeiron team for always answering questions and taking opinions — I’m talking about Lorekeeper, Big sword, ShadowSan, and Eulon especially, you guys have been amazing — this is an example of how a product should be done. I’d like to thank my teammates at Crypto INSIDE — Rufka and Derfas — for doing a great job in the AGW. I’d also like to thank our opponents for the competitive matches — Generative Dungeons, Web3clipse, Zombie Club, and Guildless Gamers — we learned a lot from playing against you guys.

Hey everyone! This week we sat down with Jim Fok, fondly known around the office as Big Jim and a producer here at Foonie Magus. Jim has a storied career — he’s been working in the video game industry in East Asia since 1987! — and has a lot of insights to share about the ups and downs of game development, knowing your audience, and why Apeiron might just be on the edge of another big moment in game history.

As a bonus, we’ve also collected some tips and tricks from Foonie CTO Gem Ng about what we’re looking for from you guys in terms of feedback i.e. what would be most useful to hear for our devs and for making a greater godiverse. Also a super special bonus from Frank Cheng, Foonie CEO (if you don’t have time to read the article, check the bonus content).

Foonie Magus: Hi Jim! So could you introduce yourself to our lovely readers?

Jim: Hi everyone, I’m Jim. I’m 58 years old, and I’m happy to be here to talk to you guys today.

FM: So you’ve had a long career in game development. Could you maybe talk a bit about how you got started?

Jim: Well, I had a background in electronics and electrical engineering. I made peripherals, pagers, that sort of thing. Do you know what a pager is?

FM: Oh yes, I remember those! Haha

Jim: So I was interested in game development at that time and actually I started to do some…well, some hacking. I am actually the creator of this device called the Game Doctor. It would let you hack some of the games back then and enter cheat codes and things like that.

FM: Wow that’s super cool! You’re an OG hacker!

Jim: I guess I am haha! But actually back then it was not super sustainable to do hacking. So I did it for a few years but then went back to electronics fabrication. But I always wanted to do game development: I know that. I found a job at Era Entertainment Company and we made a game about the [Hong Kong] celebrity Charlie Yeung. And this was my first game. But I still left the company after that, because their focus was not game development.

So then some of the other developers who made the Charlie Yeung game, they founded a new game development company called Warp Power, and I decided to join as well. We developed an RTS [real time strategy] game with 5 races, all with unique units. It took us 2 years just to finish the PC version of the game, which we ended up published on the Taiwanese market! The reception, unfortunately, wasn’t great. Still, we ended up getting a license to publish the game on Playstation from Sony. So we ported it over. We had to change the whole experience! Originally it was PvP but we changed it to PvE because the Playstation at that time didn’t fully support networked PvP. The game was released as Alchemist. It actually did ok in the end, although not enough to recoup all the development costs.

FM: That is some kind of story! I mean you turned all the gameplay upside down because of a licensing deal.

Jim: Yeah, and then after that we changed the purpose of the whole company from one focused on game development to instead being an internet provider. But then another opportunity came up and I joined Gamania, a game developer in Taiwan. At the time, it was a decently big company, and it grew a lot while I was there! Explosive growth in the industry.

Anyway, because of my experiences on the technical side of setting up a network that I got while at Warp Power, I was assigned to be part of a team that helped to set up the infrastructure and everything for a popular Asian MMO franchise. So I learned a huge amount at that time about everything related to the construction of the servers and the daily operations for massively multiplayer online games.

FM:That sounds…amazing! And like it was a lot of work!

Jim: Thanks! It was a big project, but it was successful, happily. Well, over time Gamania evolved as a company: its main business became licensing and publishing, then it developed a few games in-house, and then it out-sourced, working with game studios around Asia. And I moved from R&D Developer to become a Producer. In this role, I would go around Taiwan and Hong Kong and meet with the studios and talk to them, give them professional advice and help from Gamania if they needed it, that sort of thing.

It was in this capacity that I first met Orange [Foonie Magus COO], who was working at a company called M-Inverse. Anyway, I really liked working with these studios, and I wanted to come back to Hong Kong and get back into direct game development again. So I left Gamania and started working at Next Media back in Hong Kong. I was working in their games division, a group called NxTomo.

We were asked to localize a game called BFB — Barcode Footballer. It’s a mobile game, a football game. But we actually made some big changes to the game through localization.

FM: How so? Is localization really such a big project?

Jim: It can be! In this case, we did an analysis of local Hong Kong football fans. We looked at their play patterns — the situations they were most likely to play and have fun in our game — and then we made adjustments accordingly. And it paid off! BFB has been a big success.

But again, Next Media was never focused on game development, they just had this one division. So in the end, I decided to leave. And when I left, Orange invited me to join here as a producer.

FM: What a story! You’ve witnessed literally the rise of networked gaming in Asia and been a big part of it. So moving to the present — what do you think about blockchain? And Apeiron?

Jim: Well of course the technology is amazing. It’s another game changer for the industry, and we will have to adapt. And as for Apeiron — I think it’s on the right track to catch this moment. The game type is very new and unique: an RTS and roguelike card battler combination: cool! I’m looking forward to seeing more of it as we move forward with production.

FM: So as you know, we recently released our demo and we’re collecting feedback from users. Do you have any advice to our users about how they might help us, or advice to fellow developers on what to look for?

Jim: Well — it’s hard haha. There’s no one right answer. But thinking back to the success of something like BFB, I’d like to ask our audience a question: how do YOU play Apeiron? More specifically, what are the situations you play and enjoy the game? If we can isolate this element and answer this question, it will be a big benefit for us. But of course it is challenging, especially when you have a global audience to consider. Different people in different countries will have different answers. And sometimes people will tell you what they want to hear rather than what you need to hear. So I guess if I have one piece of advice to our players: be honest with us. Tell us the truth! That’s what we need.

FM: I can see someone knocking at the door looking for you, Jim, so I think we have to close the interview. But this is great and thoughtful advice! Thanks so much for your time and speaking with us today! See you around!

And welcome to another Apeiron Interview! We’ve got a fun one for you this week as we join Joseph “Coop” Cooper from Earn Alliance, who has a whole kitchen’s worth of delectable goodies cooking to round out your delicious Apeiron banquet.

Now then, let’s dive into their proverbial pantry and see what Earn Alliance has got cooking for us!

FM: Howdy! And thanks for making the time to talk to us! Could you introduce yourself to our readers?

Coop: Hey everyone, I’m Joseph Cooper, but everyone calls me Coop. I’m the founder of Earn Alliance and it’s great to be here today man. Little bit about me: I’m originally from California, been living and working in Hong Kong for 8 years. I’ve been in the game industry for 20 years — since I was in high school, when I was modding games. Since then, I built a couple of successful game companies, sold them off, did some other stuff in developer tools, and am now coming to a new start with Earn Alliance. Back in the startup game and back in the game industry!

FM: That is quite the colorful tale! So now we know who you are, could you tell us a bit more about your newest company, Earn Alliance?

Coop: Absolutely. Well, we started off as a guild for Axie Infinity. Then we noticed there weren’t a lot of tools for managing your assets in that game. So we started working on our toolsets — and it kind of took off. We currently manage over 500k Axies. We even have a guild whose Axies we manage — they own more Axies than are currently available on the market.

FM: Woah! That’s insane!

Coop: It is pretty insane haha. But yeah, so that’s how we got started. And building off of that, we now see Earn Alliance as a community to connect other communities. There are a lot of different actors in the space right now — influencers, gamers, Discord junkies, guilds, crypto investors, Metaverse natives and new arrivals — just to name a few! We see Earn Alliance as helping to link up all these guys, and to inform them all.

We’re actually building a game directory, which has a full list of web3 games. We’ve got over 2500 games planned to be added on the directory now, and it’s growing all the time, so users can hop in and check out the games they might be interested in.

FM: 2500! That’s a lot of games.

Coop: Yeah it is! The game directory represents our commitment to connect our communities in deeper ways. And it’s not the only thing we’re doing. We’re a bunch of gamers, man. We like to play games, but a lot of projects aren’t out yet. So we’re hosting a ton of tournaments to keep people busy while we wait for all the new releases.

FM: Awesome, awesome. Ok, so moving on to Apeiron…how did you hear about us? And what were your first thoughts about our project?

Coop: So I actually knew Gem [Ng, Foonie Magus Chief Technical Officer], we had some mutual colleagues. And he knew that we were developing tools for Axie, and so he reached out to us. So that’s how we got to talking.

FM: Ooo neat! I’m sitting next to Gem right now! But that’s not important…impressions then! Apeiron. What do you think?

Coop: My thoughts on it? It’s awesome man. Like totally unique. God game + card battler? I mean there’s nothing else like it.

FM: The first and only NFT god game!

Coop: I mean it’s not only unique among web3, but even web2! Like Apeiron is just bringing something completely new to the table. It’s very cool, very exciting. And the tokenomics is great — we like how there’s different ways to play and earn.

But at the end of the day, the game just looks good. Compared to a lot of other web3 projects, the quality is just that much higher. So we’re hyped for it big time!

FM: We agree with everything you say SO MUCH. Ok so then you mentioned you knew Gem and that was kind of how you got to learn about us. So can you talk a little bit about the collaboration between Apeiron and Earn Alliance?

Coop: We’re developing a full suite of customized tools for managing Apeiron assets, and there are a few different ways we’re doing that. First, we’re making tools that will help you manage assets at scale, in bulk. There’s going to be a point in time when you have a lot of Apeiron NFTs, and we want to make it easy, convenient, and efficient for you to manage your ownership of these assets.

Second, we’re putting together a tool that we’re calling “breed party,” although the name isn’t finalized haha. Basically, one thing we’ve noticed is that another user might have a Planet you would love to breed one of your Planets with — and maybe the same goes for them. But you may not know them, and therefore not trust them enough to sell them your Planet and hope that they, in good faith, return your assets to you later and you both walk away richer. They might just keep everything for themselves. Well with the breed party tool, the idea is that we act as a kind of middleman — we secure the breeding, locking in Planets on both sides until both parties get what they want and can walk away happy.

FM: Wow, it’s clear that you really know your stuff about Apeiron! These tools sound like they could be very helpful.

Coop: Thanks! But yeah that’s not all. We’re developing a tool that will notify you if a certain Planet appears on sale — you can set the parameters so that you find just the right one, and then you can buy it and do more breeding. And we know that they’re are a lot of different ways to breed — like focusing on getting a ton of Normal Planets, or breeding more competitively — so we’re working on developing a number of strategies that you’ll be able to set to help guide you in your trades.

And finally, we’ll have a number of badges and missions for Apeiron — and anyone who uses our tools or supports Apeiron’s community can get these badges, which’ll grant access to airdrops — more and more for higher tiers.

FM: That does in fact sound like a full suite of tools! Does this tool suite have a name?

Coop: Yup! These Apeiron tools will be under the banner of Earn Management.

On October 18th, 2022, Foonie Magus hosted its 2nd Apeiron NFT minting event — the Sacred Star Sale. Participants were given the chance — for the first time — to purchase one of Apeiron Stars — unique NFTs that function as the “land” in Apeiron’s NFT metaverse.

Stars provide a host of utilities: they allow users to “age” their Apeiron Planet NFTs faster, which makes the Planet more powerful — and therefore more valuable for trading. They also provide buffs for Alliance building, making them a target for guilds or passionate fans looking to tackle endgame content. And last — but certainly not least — each Star comes with multiple “Orbital Tracks” for aging Planets. Tracks not in use by the owner can be rented out, generating multiple simultaneous passive revenue streams at no cost!

The sale went ahead as scheduled, gradually opening from VIP Whitelist to Whitelist and finally to the Public. During the course of the sale, all 473 Stars split among 16 Major and 67 Minor Constellations were sold, a volume of 813 ETH -a value of roughly 1M USD!

Frank Cheng, CEO of Foonie Magus and noted Apeiron Lorekeeper, said that results of the sale “exceeded expectations”: “Genuinely surprised we minted out in a few hours in these markets! And certainly hope everyone is happy with the Star they got! I got 2 T6 with 10ETH X_X… anyone selling T1 Astronomicals? Anyway…. Now that we’ve concluded the Star sale, everything is in place! The Planets and Stars are out there, the Godiverse is ready! We’re going to build on these foundations and focus on getting out our first gameplay demo into your hands as soon as we can! Lets fucking go!”

Users who still might be interested in purchasing a Star will now have the option to view and purchase listed Stars directly from Star NFT holders on the official Apeiron Marketplace. They may also be found on Opensea.

Additionally, in the coming months Stars will be made available as a possible reward for certain Nebula Expeditions, which are exclusive and periodic staking events available to Apeiron NFT asset holders.

Apeiron is the world’s first and only NFT god game. Taking inspiration from classic simulation god games such as Black and White as well as modern genres like card battlers, MOBAs, and Roguelikes, Apeiron is at the forefront of next generation web3 games. The game is currently undergoing internal testing, with a beta version due at the end of the year.

Hey everyone! This week we snagged some late night snacks to munch on as we sat down in the wee hours with Brendan from Ancient8 and chatted about gaming guilds, the metaverse, and of course, Apeiron. Join us, then, for an exclusive behind-the-scenes interview chock full of tasty insights and clever nibbles~

Foonie Magus: Hello Brendan! How are you doing?

Brendan: Hey! I’m good. A little tired, it’s quite late here haha. But I’m excited for this interview!

FM: Well hey, thanks for making the time to talk with us! So let’s get started: could you tell our dear readers who you are and what you do?

Brendan: Absolutely. My name is Brendan Donovan and I’m the Content Marketing Manager here at Ancient8, which means I oversee all the content we produce globally across all our marketing and research channels.

FM: Cool cool! Could I ask you to elaborate a little more about Ancient8? You guys are a gaming guild, is that right?

Brendan: That’s certainly part of it! We see ourselves as web3 gaming infrastructure builders, and there are three pillars to that: the guild, community, and software. In terms of the guild, we actually manage the largest blockchain gaming guild in Vietnam, and we’re expanding on a global scale right now!

FM: That’s awesome! Ok, to dive into a little more detail…you mentioned that you oversee “marketing and research.” What kind of research are you talking about?

Brendan: We see our research as a part of our “community” pillar. We have a Research Portal on our website where we report the latest news in the space, overview macro trends, and do deep dives into different games. It represents an effort for us to provide institutional-grade education to people in the community, and especially our core community in Vietnam. And it’s all absolutely free!

FM: Everyone loves free stuff. I guess then that covers some of the community pillar — and we’ve talked about the guild pillar. What about the “software” pillar? What kind of tools are you guys working on?

Brendan: Quite a lot actually! We’re working on a full suite of marketing and infrastructure projects that will all be linked by our Ancient8 User ID (UID). Apart from the UID, we’ve also launched our second project, the Ancient8 Dojo — it’s the first web3 gaming-focused launchpad on Solana, hosting both NFT sales — IGOs (Initial Game Offering) and token sales as well. Right now we’re focused on building on the Solana chain, and we plan to move multi-chain in the not-so-distant future.

FM: Right, makes sense. And thanks! I think that gives us a pretty clear picture of Ancient8. So now let’s shift gears and talk about Apeiron. How did you hear about us? First impressions?

Brendan: We’re always on the lookout for games that bring something new to the table, and Apeiron really impressed us with its very unique gameplay format. I mean, card battling + god game? There’s nothing else like it. And, speaking personally, I used to love playing god games like Spore, so it’s great to see you guys bringing that back.

FM: The world’s first and only NFT god game!

Brendan: Exactly. So that impressed us. And on top of that, we think that your tokenomics is very well thought out. It’s nuanced, thoughtful, and focused on keeping a sustainable economy, which is something we put a lot of value in.

FM: Sustainability is key for us — we’re here for the long term. And speaking of the long term, what kinds of collaborations are we doing now between Apeiron and Ancient8, and what can we expect going forward?

Brendan: Well there’s a few things. Of course we’re introducing our community to this game, a game we’re very excited about. You can go to our Research Portal right now and see an in-depth Game Analysis of Apeiron with all the key information you need to get started, and we think that’s a great jumping off point for new users.

And then in terms of the future…we’re pretty big on esports. We actually organized and hosted the Axie Infinity Vietnamese championships, the 1st web3 esports tournament in Vietnam with a total prize pool of $25,000, and we’re very much looking forward to having more of a web3 esports scene when Apeiron launches, as our community and esports team have shown a significant interest in Apeiron!.

FM: Yeah, and for Apeiron, the epic battles between gods (and doods!) really lends itself to entertaining esports viewing — at least we think so haha. Cool! So I know you’re busy, we should start wrapping up…one thing we always like to ask: do you think you’re going to be a benevolent god or an evil one in your first Apeiron playthrough?

Brendan: Oh that’s a good question. I think for me I’d start benevolent and then go through something like a Walter White character arc, like I’d be drawn into the dark side haha.

FM: Haha that sounds like an interesting playthrough! Right then…any last comments before we sign off?

Brendan: Yeah I wanted to say that Ancient8 is really proud to be partnered with Apeiron in working together to bring in the next generation of Metaverse citizens. And we want to encourage people to check out our Discord — we have a really passionate community of gamers! We fully believe in the power of web3 to empower gaming, and games like Apeiron will prove that web3 is bringing the next level of entertainment and value for gamers.

Wylie has been around the company since the early days and has a tremendous wealth of experience and insight into how Apeiron came to be, as well as where it’s going in the future! Pull up a chair and join us for a chat as we take a peek behind the scenes…

Ok, with that out of the way let’s grab our wayward chairs and get down to business. For this one, we first had to do a bit of detective work. Or should we say, I did (Bookworm). I had heard rumors of a mysterious but powerful figure. “She’s always smiling,” said one. “She’s the company babysitter,” said another. “With a fear of chickens!” “She’s someone who will listen to me, and I will always defend her,” said a third. “Powerful and lovely,” said one of her close colleagues. Upon hearing all this, I knew. I knew I needed to seek her out and get down to the bottom of the mysterious and powerful leader who is none other than WYLIE YIP!

Foonie Magus (Bookworm): Hi Wylie! Thanks for taking the time to do this interview. If we could start with you introducing yourself and what you do for us?

Wylie: Yes, no problem! So I am Wylie Yip and I am the CAO for Foonie Magus.

FM: What does being the CAO involve? What kind of work do you do?

Wylie: Well, of course there is the administrative work for the company — arranging events, talking with staff about any issues they might be having, this kind of thing. We have been growing a lot as a company in the last few months as well, so there is more administrative work than before — plus we want to assure staff that they have a career path for growth within the company. Then in addition to the administrative things, I also organize events overseas — we have events coming up in the Philippines and Thailand in the next couple of months. And then, I also work with overseas partners to promote our game — it is a part of our brand management and merchandising development projects, which I am also involved in.

FM: Oh…my…god. Wylie, you do so many things!

Wylie: Yes! I am quite busy haha.

FM: I want to ask a bit more about the administrative work — despite how busy you are, I notice you always coming into the office, cracking jokes and chatting with people. And people always smile when they see you coming! Which is pretty great. How do you build those kinds of positive working relationships with people?

Wylie: Well actually we are in kind of a funny industry — a unique industry, I should say. People tend to be more shy, introverted, quieter than in other industries. This can mean that people don’t always talk to each other, or there can be miscommunication. Tempers can get out of hand easily in this situation. So rather than let people sit there and not talk and be passive, I try to get out there and talk to everyone. I want to know everyone. I want to talk to everyone and let them know they can talk to me if they need to. And in this way we can make a better working environment and ultimately be a happier and more productive company.

FM: That’s a very hands on, down to earth approach — big respect. So then, what’s your story — how did you end up here, working on Apeiron, and taking on all these responsibilities?

Wylie: Well I guess it started around 10 years ago. That was when I met Orange — Foonie Magus’ COO. You could say Orange and I have a “miracle relationship”.

FM: Oh wow haha. How so?

Wylie: When we first met, we used to fight all the time. And Orange found out that I often reach the opposite decision of him, but also that I make my choices quickly and decisively. And I guess he respected that, because when he and Frank — Foonie Magus’ CEO — went to establish Aither, Orange sought me out as a partner!

FM: Cool! So where were you before Foonie Magus? Did you have experience with the gaming industry?

Wylie: Yes you could say that. Actually I worked at Konami for around 8 years on Yu-Gi-Oh! It’s a card game. Maybe you know it?

FM: Yes of course! That’s…pretty awesome.

Wylie: Thanks! I helped to host events — like tournaments and stuff — around Hong Kong and Asia. The job taught me a lot — especially about licensing and all that, the rules and regulations. But besides Konami, I also spent a lot of time working at various start-up companies, helping to build teams and grow brands.

FM: You’ve done so much amazing stuff! So then you came to Foonie Magus?

Wylie: Yes! And when I come here I developed a strategy which I call winx4! Win win win win. And the strategy is: I want the company to win, the staff to win, partners and investors to win, and myself to win.

FM: Sounds like a lot of winning! How has implementing the strategy been going?

Wylie: Of course it’s easy on paper but in practice there are a lot of challenges. But I will say, with Apeiron, there is a lot of excitement, we believe we have an excellent product here and are looking forward to the future!

FM: Right so let’s talk a little bit more about Apeiron. What kind of work are you doing for our game?

Wylie: Well you know, when Frank and Orange and Gem — Foonie Magus’ CTO — sit down together, we’re thinking about not just the now but the future. We’re making a plan. And we’re asking the question: what kind of strategy do we need to see the success of Apeiron? We’re looking to and learning from companies that have had big brand-building success, like Disney and Pixar. And one thing that I asked for very early on was an iconic character: a character that could appeal to everyone, that would attract both adults and children, and be something that we could use to promote Apeiron.

FM: I think I know where this might be going. This is how the dood was born!

Wylie: That’s right haha! Or at least, one reason for the doods. Actually in terms of licensing for brands, if you have a recognizable character like our doods it’s much easier to do branding. And we are very happy, because the dood is quite popular! We have big plans for our doods in the future and hope to release much more merchandise, as well as to produce even some movies or tv shows!

FM: That’s so exciting! The doods have a bright future ahead of them haha. One other thing that I wanted to ask you about with relation to Apeiron: does the fact that Apeiron is an NFT game make a difference in terms of how you approach branding and licensing?

Wylie: Actually one thing we are trying to do with the branding is to connect the NFTs to the physical world. Because sometimes when something is always virtual, it can be hard to conceptualize it, or to really feel it. So for example with our doods, we made the Dood plushie, and you can exchange a Dood Plushie NFT and actually get the real, physical plushie for yourself! Kind of bridging the gap between virtual and physical.

FM: Yes! Makes sense. Ok just a couple more questions. Is it true you’re afraid of birds?

Wylie: Yes haha. It’s a kind of phobia? I don’t know why. I’ve always had it.

FM: Interesting haha. And then I have some comments from the marketing team — who you work quite closely with, I understand — describing you as “powerful and lovely.” Any comment?

Wylie: Oh my god haha. That’s pretty funny! But I like it.

FM: Ok and last thing. In Apeiron, do you plan to be a good goddess or an evil one?

Wylie: Everyone will say that I will be good. But actually I would like to be an evil goddess. I want people to see my dark side.

FM: Oooh spooky! Alright, well, I know you’re very busy, and I think that’s about all the questions I have for now. Thanks for taking the time to sit down and talk to us!

Foonie Magus (FM): Hey guys! It’s great to meet you all. Usually when we do these things we start by asking you to introduce yourselves to our readers. So…can you do that? Lol

OnePlanet (Inch): Sure! I’ll go first. I’m Inch, Business Development Lead here at OnePlanet. I’m probably going to be the one talking the most today, so fair warning haha.

OnePlanet (Sungmo): Hello! I’m Sungmo, Head of business, in charge of marketing and business partnerships

OnePlanet (Yunsik): And I’m Yunsik, leader of our overall marketing team.

FM: Awesome! Well thanks so much for making time to sit down and chat with us today, guys. So y’all are from OnePlanet. What is OnePlanet?

OnePlanet (Inch): OnePlanet is a curated marketplace. We used to be on Terra, but after the crash we’ve been getting ready to migrate over to Polygon — in fact about 50 projects along with 90 collections are following us over to Polygon. And in fact, we’re actually backed by Polygon Studios now! Our goals include helping to pave the way to develop the NFT ecosystem, decentralize digital assets, and give our users the chance to define and expand the utilities of their assets.

FM: A marketplace eh? Like OpenSea?

OnePlanet (Inch): Well yes…and no. OpenSea is an open marketplace. And what that means is that anyone can come in and list their projects. It may be a merit but also costs end users a lot of time and effort to distinguish the genuinity and quality of those collections. OnePlanet, on the other hand, is a curated marketplace. We have an admin control of listing and partner-up only with projects that meet our high standards for quality, and with an eye on long-term growth. We would like to save our users the trouble.

FM: Oh I see…and speaking of high quality projects that are here for the long term, let’s talk about Apeiron (an excellent segway muahaha)! How did you hear about us and what were your first impressions?

OnePlanet (Sungmo): I guess that’s me! Well, you guys were featured through Polygon Studios, and so that’s how we first came across Apeiron. And I have to say, we thought that it looked like an AAA game — very high quality project. We like that your game actually resembles a real universe, and that it has rich lore and deep gameplay — these are the kinds of foundations that we think will prove to be sustainable over time.

FM: Yeah — us too! Thanks for the kind words~ But first impressions are one thing, getting to know each other, another. So what’s got you excited for Apeiron now, at this point?

OnePlanet (Yunsik): I can take this one. There are a lot of projects at the moment, but many of them are…outdated, to be honest. They are too focused on play-2-earn, and spend too much time on their tokenization. Games should be fun: we believe that play and earn games like Apeiron, not p2e, is the future. And Apeiron’s tri-token system is very innovative, and the logic behind it makes sense. So overall we’re very impressed with what Apeiron has to offer.

FM: We’re on the cutting edge! Right, we’ve talked about Apeiron, we’ve talked about OnePlanet — now let’s put ’em together: how do you envision your collaboration with us moving forward?

OnePlanet (Inch): So we see two sides to it, actually. First, from the business side of things, listing your NFTs on OnePlanet brings a lot of benefits. We help you to customize how you present and manage your assets with things like custom filters, detailed property descriptions, and off-chain data monitoring with stats. We also let you guys trade in your own native tokens, so if you wanted to use Apeiros on OnePlanet, for instance, you could do that!

Of course, you can do all of these things in your own marketplace. But the other side of what we have to offer for Apeiron is the community building. We share audiences, information, and experiences, and more importantly we connect all the NFT projects on OnePlanet together into a unified community. We plan to have social features — like chatting and forums — and help the builders who are leading the charge of the next gen of NFT gaming start talking to each other.

FM: That sounds great! And yeah ultimately we’re stronger together. Now then, we’re just about ready to make moves here and close up shop. Buy any final comments before we sign off?

OnePlanet (Inch): Yes actually! Just to kind of follow up on what we’ve been saying already, everyone knows that multi/cross chain is the future, but ETH will always be at the center of it, and Polygon is the best way to scale up ETH. Polygon is without a doubt one of the leaders of the Metaverse now, and that’s important because since the crash — the grafters and grifters have moved on — now it’s only the true builders who are here to stay.

So with that in mind, you look at OpenSea, the most frequently used marketplace — 90% of Polygon trades happen on OpenSea for now, but Polygon deserves a better marketplace, a curated marketplace that is safe, secure, and easier-to-use. We’ve got our relaunch happening soon [September 6th] and watch out for it: we’re not going to disappoint.

Greetings godlings! Interview Sunday is BACK (for now anyway). This weekend the Korea Blockchain Week (KBW) has been going on in Seoul, a celebratory gathering of all things related to web3, the metaverse, and the future of gamefi.

While we weren’t able to travel to Korea ourselves, we did manage to find time to talk to our awesome partners at Pro Gamer DAO. Apeiron Faithful might remember them for joining our Mini-Guild Wars, where they fell to Guild 22 in the 2nd round. Well, we have some interesting revelations about that…let’s get to the interview!

Foonie Magus: Hey guys! So could I ask you to introduce yourselves to our readers first?

Pro Gamer DAO (Ato): Hey! So we actually have a few people here. We have Leo from DEUK Soteria Ventures (DSV), a crypto fund incubating Pro Gamer DAO. We also have Sean from Pro Gamer DAO, and I’m Ato, a web2 traditional gamer and non-crypto native and a Pro Gamer member. We thought it would be cool if I joined and gave a little bit of a different perspective on things.

FM: Sure, sounds awesome! Well welcome everyone and thanks for taking the time to sit down and talk with us! First things first, could you tell us about your organization? What is it that makes Pro Gamer DAO unique?

Pro Gamer DAO (Sean): Pro Gamer DAO is a user-oriented guild with a focus on and commitment to accessibility. We want to rework the ecosystem and be a guild that doesn’t just help users to play NFT games but actually go the extra step further and bring people together — regardless of skill level — as a tight-knit community. In this way our guild supports all players equitably, taking advantage of everyone’s abilities, and at the same time nurtures novices into experienced gamers.

FM: I notice that you guys call yourselves Pro Gamer DAO — that’s a bold name choice haha. Could you talk about what led you to it?

Pro Gamer DAO (Ato): You know — we’re Koreans. We’re based in Korea. And Korea — well, we have a history of pro gaming. To us, gaming isn’t just about fun, you know? It’s about maximizing the game’s systems, about learning the game inside and out, about working together and protecting the homies. We play a lot of games and we’re always sharing strategies, guides, builds — everything, you know?

FM: Like trying to master the game?

Pro Gamer DAO (Ato): Yeah and to understand its secrets. Like for example we were talking with Frank [Cheng, Apeiron CEO], and we were actually trying to figure out if he was giving us any secrets in what he was saying. We spent a ton of time analyzing the call we had with him haha. It goes to show how committed and passionate we are.

FM: It does haha. Speaking of Frank (kind of), how did you guys first hear about Apeiron? What did you think about it?

Pro Gamer DAO (Sean): I am a member of several crypto forums, and that’s how I found out about Apeiron. Looking at the tri-token economy you guys have built up, as well as the different Mythological galaxies — that was all really exciting to us. And then on top of that is the breeding system, which is very detailed and advanced.

Pro Gamer DAO (Ato): To add to that, I think for us Apeiron checked all the boxes for us. I mean, all the boxes. The concepts and framing were really cool but more than that is the depth of it: like, the Doods, they have their own language! It’s got amazing attention to detail, and that’s something you don’t see in a lot of web3 games. We’re really excited about it! I’m really excited about it! Sorry, what was the question? Haha

FM: No worries, I think you answered it haha. So what kind of collaboration do you see Pro Gamer DAO having with Apeiron going forward?

Pro Gamer DAO (Sean): Well of course we plan to be competitive as an Alliance. And we have a strong community of gamers here in Korea, so helping to spread the word about Apeiron in our community. And I want to emphasize that we’re not just here for the short term, but committed to being around in the long term, and actually build something.

Pro Gamer DAO (Ato): As a traditional web2 gamer, I’m looking to introduce Apeiron and web3 gaming to other web2 users and bring them into the space. This is the future of gaming!

FM: Great! Ok I think that’s all the big questions…um, I have a question for you about something I read in one of your articles. Is it true you call your users “Shovels”? Can you explain why? Kind of an interesting choice of term haha.

How do I buy a Star?

The following steps below will explain what you need to do to buy a Stella Tabula Chest to obtain your Star:

1. Have your wallet and token prepared (Check Preparing for the Presale section for details).

2. Go to https://mint.apeironnft.com

3. Click “Connect Wallet” to begin connecting your wallet (make sure Metamask is enabled for your browser).

4. Choose the account you will be using, then click NEXT.

5. Press CONNECT, then you will see that your “Metamask is connected”.

6. Once connected, choose a Stella Tabula Chest you would like to purchase and click “Mint Now”.

7. Follow the instructions from the pop up messages and confirm the purchase

8. Wait for the message that confirms you have successfully purchased a Stella Tabula Chest.

9. Connect your wallet to Opensea to open your chest and view your Star and the Astronomicals NFTs you received.

10. Those on the VIP Whitelist may repeat from step 6 to purchase a second Stella Tabula Chest if they wish.

What is a Star?

Star NFTs in Apeiron are similar to the land in other NFT games — they provide powerful passive aging buffs to each Planet around them. Aging faster will help the Planet to unlock more Relic slots, which themselves can be used to insert Relics into the Planet, allowing you to power up your EDEN and Avatar. Each Star has one or more Orbital Tracks — you can take one of your Planets and “park” it in one of the empty Tracks and it will start to receive the aging boost from the Star.

Each of the godiverse’s 11,498 Stars is a part of a unique Constellation, all with their own stories and secrets. Completing a Constellation — owning all the Stars in a Constellation as an Alliance or individual — will provide additional beneficial effects and buffs.

The cost of each Stella Tabula Chest depends on which of the 3 rarity tiers it belongs to:

What benefits are there once I purchase?

• Attach Planet to Star’s orbit track to speed up aging, letting player’s power up their Planets with additional Relics, increasing Planet value.

• Rent out unused tracks to other players to develop multiple passive revenue streams.

• Raise Alliance member cap when staked

• Customize for looks and additional effects, including further aging and orbital tracks, using Astronomical NFTs

• Powerful Zodiac buffs for Alliances that complete Constellations and access to unique Constellation effects.

Who can participate in the presale?

The Sacred Star Presale is available to:

Hardware wallet with Metamask is confirmed to work for the Star Presale. However, do note that it is possible that some hardware wallets may not be compatible with OpenSea.

How can I acquire a Star if I missed the Presale?

Stella Tabula Chests will be available after the Presale for our Planet holders by staking Planets on Nebula Expeditions. You can learn more about Nebula Expeditions HERE.

Additionally, Stars may be purchased directly from Star owners on the secondary market.

How do I know if the purchase I made is successful?

During your purchase, your Metamask wallet should initiate two transactions. The first one is to approve the use of ETH, and the other for the actual purchase of the Stella Tabula Chest you selected. If both transactions were successful and completed without any error, you will have successfully purchased and received your Star and Astronomicals!

After the purchase you can also connect your wallet to the secondary market such as Opensea.io and the NFTs from the Stella Tabula chest you purchased should be viewable from your profile.

Can I sell my Star after I purchase it?

Yes, once you successfully purchase a Star, the NFT will be transferred to your wallet. From there, you are free to make use of it in any way you like, whether to keep the Star for your own use or to sell and trade on the secondary market.

Will I see what Star I got right after buying my Chest?

Yes, the contents of the chest you purchased will be immediately revealed upon purchase, including the Star and any Astronomicals.

Salutations, fine Apeiron-ers! In this post, we’re going to discuss more details of the Sacred Star Presale, including the hard numbers for things like aging buffs, orbital tracks, and Alliance expansion. We’ll also talk a little about the importance of putting together a full Constellation if you’re aiming to become a top competitive Alliance.

Before we begin, a quick reminder that the epic conclusion to our first Mini Guild Wars happens this weekend! Guild 22, fresh off the back of their surprise victories, will take on Dynamic Crypto Gaming while YGGSEA face down the powerhouse that is Clout Gaming. It’s all to play for, and you can win rewards as well just by tuning in, so come along and join us!

Cool, with that being said, let’s talk some more about Stars. Stars offer a lot of benefits to players — we’ll start by looking at the aging buff. Why do you want your Planet to age faster? Simply put, the older the Planet, the more Relic slots it has — which you can fill with Relics to power up your Avatars or Apostles or EDEN. More Relics, more power!

Here’s a table with the info on Planet Ages and Relic slots:

Planets age at the rate of 1 per day, so it could take you a while to hit some of those higher ages. And that’s where Stars come in! Let’s take a look at the following table of aging buff multipliers for each Star tier:

By taking your Planet and parking it close to the energizing light of a powerful Star, you’ll be able to dramatically increase your Planet’s age! But that’s not the end of the great aging: certain Stars may also have Sun slots. Suns are like mini-Stars, and come with their own aging buffs. These Sun buffs stack additively with your Star’s aging buff. You may receive a Sun when opening a Stella Tabula Chest.

As with Stars, there are several tiers of Suns. Larger, more powerful Suns may only be used with higher tiers of Stars. Let’s look at what Suns will shine through the godiverse:

• Red Dwarf — Aging Buff +0.5 — Can be used with Star Tiers 11 and above

• Blue Dwarf — Aging Buff +1 — Can be used with Star Tiers 9 and above

• White Dwarf — Aging Buff +1.5 — Can be used with Star Tiers 8 and above

• Red Giant — Aging Buff +3 — Can be used with Star Tiers 6 and above

• Blue Giant — Aging Buff +4.5 — Can be used with Star Tiers 5 and above

• Blue Super Giant — Aging Buff +8 — Can be used with Star Tiers 3 and above

• Neutron — Aging Buff +15 — Can be used with Stars of Tier 2

Alright, let’s run an example now to make sure we’re all on the same page. I have a Tier 5 Star with an aging buff of 12. My Tier 5 Star has 1 Sun slot which I can fill with a Sun. I have a Blue Dwarf Sun (+1 aging buff) in my inventory, which I can attach to my T5 Star for a total aging buff of 13, meaning my Planets will age by 13 every day! In this case, I’d also be on the lookout for a better Sun — like a Blue Giant, the highest tier of Sun my Star can take — because then I could replace my Blue Dwarf and increase my aging by another 3.5 per day.

Long story short, these aging buffs are the real deal, so you’ll want to get as many Planets circling Stars as soon as you can. But then we come to the question: how many Planets can each Star support? We have the answers for you:

You may notice the numbers are a little bit higher for T1 Stars — and that’s because T1 Stars are not part of Constellations or Zodiacs. More on that in a bit…

Basically, the higher the tier of Star, the more Planets it can support! But what if you want even MORE Orbital Tracks? There are a couple of ways to go about it. First, you can attach additional Astronomicals (NFTs for customizing your Star) to your Star: Asteroids, Comets, and Supernovas. Depending on the tier, these different Astronomicals can give you 1–3 additional tracks for each attached object, and a good way of squeezing out a little more value from your Stars. There will be a corresponding slot for each Astronomical (e.g. a slot for Asteroids, Comets, and Supernovas respectively).

A quick note that some Stars don’t have a slot to insert Supernovas, but will instead have either (1) a very rare cosmetic called a Celestial Object or (2) a unique cosmetic called an Ultranova. A Star with an Ultranova will get a flat +5 additional Orbital Tracks.

The other way to increase your track numbers has to do with Alliances, which require a bit of explanation. Alliances are groups of players coming together to tackle end-game content in Apeiron — world bosses and high level esports events. Alliances start with a base cap of 10 members, but each Star will increase your Alliance member cap by an additional 10.

Where Alliances get interesting are when you manage to collect complete Constellations — that is to say, your Alliance owns all the Stars within that Constellation. When your Alliance controls a Constellation, you will be able to activate a number of powerful Zodiac Buffs.

First, each Constellation will come with its own buff (e.g. 10% attack buff when fighting against a certain enemy type). Second, your Alliance member caps will be expanded significantly depending on the completed Constellation(s) that make up your Alliance. And third, your Star will receive a huge boost to its Orbital Track number based on which Constellation it’s in. Let’s take a look at some of those numbers:

Note that there are some limitations to Alliance-building. Specifically, there can only be a max of 100 Stars in an Alliance, and a max of 13 Constellations to a Zodiac. Please note that buffs from different Constellations do NOT stack — so for example, if you have two Constellations that both give a 10% boost to defense, you will only get the effect from one of them. So you will want to try and build your Zodiac to have unique buffs as opposed to overlapping.

Example time! Your Alliance consists of twelve 6-Star Constellations and one 18-Star Constellation. Each Star gives you a base Alliance expansion of 10, and you have 90 Stars total (6x12 + 1x18 = 90), giving you a base expansion of 900. But on top of that, you get +50 for each 6-Star Constellation, and +180 for the 18 Star, for a Zodiac Buff of 780 (12x50 +180 = 780), giving you a TOTAL Alliance expansion of 1680!

Now let’s say you have a T5 Star as a part of one of the 6-Star Constellations. The 6-Star Constellation with the Zodiac buff gives you a 50% boost to your Orbital Track count. T5 Stars usually have 16 Orbital Tracks, so +50% (16/2 =8) additional Tracks means you go from 16 to 24!

And that…is that! That’s all we have today, but it’s quite a lot.

TL;DR Higher Tier Stars have progressively more aging buffs and orbital tracks. Alliances — complete Constellations to activate powerful Zodiac buffs.

Then, we’re following up the interview with a battle report of the first half of our Mini Guild Wars, which ran this past weekend. Some teams lost, some teams won, emotions ran high, and we have our tournament favorites and dark horses. Lots to talk about — let’s get cookin’!

One sunny afternoon, we were joined at the table by Ranker DAO. To the soothing sounds of servers humming peacefully in the background, we chatted about games, esports, and of course, Apeiron.

Foonie Magus: Hi guys! Thanks for joining us today :> Could you introduce yourselves?

Liko: Hi! I’m Liko, I’m the CEO and Founder of Ranker DAO. And with me here is Stefano, he’s our esports guy.

Stefano: Yo.

FM: Yo! So what is Ranker DAO for our readers who might not know?

Liko: We’re a gaming guild! More specifically, we’re a Decentralized Autonomous Organization that’s formed with the goal of enabling our community to get access to the biggest blockchain activities going on around the world. We already own over 1000 gaming NFT, not bad since we launched about a half a year ago.

FM: Yeah that’s a lot of growth pretty fast! So how did you hear about Apeiron? First impressions?

Liko: We were introduced by some friends to Frank [Foonie Magus CEO and LoreKeeper]. As soon as we saw Apeiron, we were blown away. Everyone in our group fell in love with it and we just really want to play it as soon as possible haha.

FM: Wow, that’s a strong impression! :D Happy to hear it~

Liko: Yeah…I guess for me personally, I’m a big gamer, and I looked at Apeiron, it reminded me of something like the Disgaea series — there’s so much room for growth and getting into the grind and optimizing and everything, plus that tongue-in-cheek sense of humor.

FM: What kind of aspects of Apeiron’s gameplay are you looking forward to the most, would you say?

Liko: Hmmm for me I guess I would say there are two things. First, the strategy aspect of the battle system. I like systems that have a lot of depth and complexity, games like Enter the Gungeon I think it is? And Apeiron looks like it has a lot of cool choices in terms of teambuilding and stuff like that. On the other side, there’s the dungeon-delving, Slay the Spire roguelike part of it.

FM: Yeah, each time you go into a dungeon, you’ll have a team of Apostles, special cards, and passive artifacts to build around, so each run is unique.

Liko: Sure, and to add to that, sometimes you’ll put together something really awesome — just the perfect combination of units and cards and so on, and you fly through the dungeon…I love that feeling haha. It’s like chasing a high!

FM: The power…THE POWER!!!

Liko: Exactly haha. But let me pass it over to Stefano for a second here…

Stefano: Thanks! Yeah I wanted to mention the esports side of Apeiron a little bit, because we really feel that Apeiron has a huge potential for esports compared to other NFT games. It looks to me like the gameplay is something like Clash of Clans and a MOBA, and we’re very excited for it.

FM: Watching the Avatars striding massively across the battlefield with all the Doods scurrying around their feet is pretty cinematic for sure.

Stefano: There’s just really high production values in your project. If you look at some of the other NFT games, sometimes they just don’t look as cool as Apeiron, quite frankly.

Liko: You guys recently released the breeding stuff? I mean even that looks great! Like the animations and everything. Super cool.

FM: Thanks haha, I’ll pass that along to the art team. Uhh one last question about Apeiron’s gameplay before we move on…you guys going to be good or evil gods?

Stefano: (Immediately) evil.

Liko: We’re all going to be evil for sure haha.

FM: Nice lol. Ok, so then next…what kind of collaborations do we have with you?

Liko: Right, so there’s a couple of things. First and foremost, of course, we’re a gaming guild, and we want to be competitive, #1. As soon as the game is out, we’re jumping in, building our base, making an Alliance, really going for it, you know?

Stefano: On the esports side, we have some experience in setting up tournaments and other events, so we’ll be happy to work with you in that regard.

FM: Sounds great! Now then, we’re about ready to wrap things up, but any last comments you want to drop before heading out?

Liko: I’d like the record to show, I asked Frank to give me one of every NFT in Apeiron, just because I love collecting, and he said no! But that won’t stop me, I’ll get ’em all one way or another haha.

Moving right along, we have a quick BATTLE REPORT of last weekend’s Mini Guild Wars! Over the course of Friday and Saturday, our teams played through the Ro16 and Quarterfinals. And boy, did we have some matches…

On the left side of the bracket, the DADI team made up of bold Apeiron ambassadors was swatted aside by the Pro Gamer DAO, who were then in turn — surprisingly — smashed by Guild 22, a local Hong Kong gaming guild. Meanwhile, Dynamic Crypto Gaming (DCG) took out Polemos in a tightly contested series.

On the right side of the bracket, PIF DAO beat Ranker DAO in a close game while Clout Gaming dominated Avocado Guild. Clout then repeated their performance, crushing PIF DAO on the way to locking in their trip to the semi-finals — it was later discovered that the support member of Clout’s team is a Challenger-rated player, the highest division of League of Legends below the professional level. Meanwhile, YGGSEA decisively beat both Leo Ventures and Guildfi with clean teamplay.

Going into the semis, YGGSEA and Clout are looking incredibly strong, but it will be a tough task for YGGSEA to win when Clout has an ace in the hole with their Challenger support player. But perhaps their excellent teamplay will see them over the finish line? On the other side, will Guild 22 be able to continue to upset expectations and take down DCG? It’s all to play for — join us this upcoming weekend for the thrilling conclusion of the Mini Guild Wars! (And remember, if you can pick the winners, you can win prizes yourself!)

So then: next month we plan to hold our Sacred Star Presale. A quick refresher for you: Star NFTs in Apeiron are similar to the land in other NFT games. Our Sacred Star Presale will be similar to our Primeval Planet Presale. Users will be able to purchase Stella Tabula chests among three different rarities (Regular, Celestial, and Empyrean), with higher tiers of chests containing higher rarities of Stars and Astronomicals (for customizing your Star) NFTs. Different rarity stars will have their own unique color and size. Star Tiers distribution are broken down as follows:

Each Stella Tabula chest will contain ONE guaranteed Star NFT and then a certain number of Astronomicals NFTs depending on chest tier. Astronomicals could be asteroids, comets, supernovas, or even suns! These provide additional boosts to your Star’s passive powers. There will also be special super-rare Celestial Objects! Celestial Objects are cosmetic effects that give an extra flair to your Star.

Stars are all part of different Constellations. Constellations can either be Major or Minor, with Major containing more Stars of generally higher rarity, while Minor Constellations are less stars of lower rarity. If you are an Alliance and manage to collect all the Stars from a single Constellation, you’ll be able to access even more passive buffs for your Planets!

Just like with our previous presale, we’ll have VID (Very Important Dood) Whitelist and regular Whitelist access to the Sacred Star Presale before we open to the public. We’d also like to note that we’ll be making a small number of Stars from the Axis Mundi, the Center of Creation, available during our first wave of Expeditions.

Now, there’s only one way to get on the VID Whitelist: you need to own 11 unique Origins Collection Apostle NFTs. That’s it! Once you have those, you’re good to go. We’ll do a snapshot on Opensea at a later date to confirm who owns the Apostles, and those holders will then be eligible to fill in an application form and claim their slot.

For the regular Whitelist, you’ll need to earn Marks on our Discord server. We have six different Marks you can earn through various means:

1. AlphaDood Mark — Propose and host a successful event in our community.

2. Rumbler Mark — Participate in Rumble events or any community events hosted by our Council Members.

3. DowntoEarth Mark — Be helpful, respectful and chill in the chat.

4. AiryFairy Mark — Be creative! Make some Apeiron content, including music, story writing, art, videos, etc. and share with us.

5. Ballin’ Mark — Earn SOULs from Doodiquest channels and buy it in the SOUL Shop.

6. Legacy Mark — If you’ve participated in past events, you’ll get this one.

So how many Marks do you need to make the Whitelist? Four! You will need 4 Marks to claim the “🌠WL Eligible” role on Discord. Those who have the role can fill out a form, and we’ll then select qualifying participants to be whitelisted for the Presale.

We’ll have a limited amount of Whitelist slots available on a first come, first serve basis for Apeiron asset holders as well! Here’s the breakdown:

• Only available to those who hold 11 unique Origins Apostle NFT

400 [⭐Whitelisted] Slots

Please note that we will also be doing periodic snapshots to ensure that those who hold reserved slots still hold the requisite NFT assets until the mint date. Those who are found to have traded or removed assets without notifying us will lose their reserved slot permanently.

We discussed Expeditions last month (read more HERE), but basically these let our Planet holders stake their Planets for a chance to win rewards — and that includes a small number of Stella Tabula Chests! Now then, onto the next item on the agenda: Mini Guild Wars! So over the past few months, we’ve been building up connections with gaming communities and guilds from all around the world, and we thought it would be awesome if we could all come together and play some games. So that’s just what we’ve organized!

The First Mini Guild Wars will be a single-elimination League of Legends tournament. We chose League of Legends as it’s one of the most popular games on the planet, so we can get a lot of people to participate. Plus it’s a fun game to watch! Here’s how it’ll all break down:

Please note that for this tournament, the Ro16 will be held on servers catering to where our guild are located, but the Quarterfinals, Semis, and Grand Finals will all be held on the SEA Garena LoL server. This was a tough choice for us: in a perfect world, we could have everyone play on the same server with the same ping, but technically it is simply impossible. That being the case, we have to look for solutions, and we decided on the SEA server since we have the most number of guilds on that server (fully half of the tournament bracket).

Therefore, if you are one of the guildies participating in this tournament, you will want to download the SEA Garena LoL client, install the game, and prepare your account so that you have the champs and summoner spells you want when you enter into the Quarterfinals.

Prizes! Let’s talk prizes:

1st place — 2000 USDC for team and 200 Foonie Emblems for Guild Community

2nd place — 500 USDC for team and 50 Foonie Emblems for Guild Community

Today we have a banger: an in-depth, behind the scenes interview with Felix Chu, Shadow Wong, Chris Wong, the Art Leads for the entire Apeiron project, joined as well by Frank Cheng, our CEO and Lorekeeper. We sat down with them for some oysters and whiskey and let the evening carry us away, and boy oh boy, did we get carried away…

Foonie Magus: Well lads, we should probably get started before we’re too blasted to talk…could I ask you to introduce yourselves?

Chris: Serious or…?

FM: Whatever you want.

Chris: I am a dog

Shadow: I am a human-form dog

Felix: I am a hella alcoholic piece of shit. Also, Shadow, he is not just a human-form dog. He is also the savior of the team. And he is a treasure when he is drunk!

Shadow: I can’t get drunk tonight guys…I have too many things to suppress, too many secrets…

FM: Ok well now we HAVE to get you drunk

Chris: Shadow is the 5% elite of the human race. Orange, [Foonie Magus’ COO], said it.

Felix: Yes! So true. He is the 5%. Very rare.

Shadow: I don’t trust myself…

FM: We’re off to a great start. Alright, so what do you guys do exactly?

Chris: Everything.

Felix: Let’s come up with movie names to describe what we do! Like use famous movie names.

Chris: Oh ok. Sure. In this case… I would say that I do…Everything Everywhere All at Once. (FM: He’s the technical art director)

Shadow: Are you fucking serious? I am everyone’s friend. Yeah. A friend for everyone. (FM: He’s the lead 3d artist)

FM: So your movie is Toy Story?

Felix: For my job, I visualize the abstract world setting. Concept art to making it reality. And I’m never going to pick up your shit. (FM: He’s the concept art director)

Chris: He always cleans up for everyone!

Shadow: Yeah, he picks up all the shit!

Felix: I’m a nitpicker. Everyone hates me. Man…do I sound emo?

FM: Oh yeah. Super emo.

Felix: Fuck…

Shadow: Nah, everyone loves him haha.

Chris: He’s bullshitting, he’s very popular.

FM: How long have you guys been at the company?

Chris: 6 years.

Frank: Almost since the beginning

Shadow: 2 or 3 years?

Felix: Same

Frank: These guys actually knew each other before they came to work for us.

FM: Really?

Frank: Yeah, they went to school together.

FM: Holy shit, how long have you guys known each other?

Felix: Hmm…must be 12 years now.

FM: Wow!

Shadow: Here, I have a picture of us at that time…

FM: Woah! You guys look…younger haha. But mostly the same. Except for Felix! He’s changed so much.

Frank: He went from gangster Naruto to One Punch Man.

Chris: We had our own animation studio for awhile, before we worked here.

Shadow: Yeah, we did some freelance projects.

Felix: It was more just like a room than a studio haha.

Frank: Orange kept tabs on them, and they worked on some of the first concept art for Apeiron before they joined us.

FM: Would you say that Apeiron has changed a lot in the years that you guys have worked on it?

Felix: I mean of course. But you know, there is one thing, the core of the idea…the core concept that Frank showed us…that’s never changed. It’s always been there.

FM: What’s your favorite aspect of Apeiron?

Shadow: For me it’s seeing everything coming together, come alive. And the toys! I love the toys. I know maybe that sounds a little weird because we are making the game, but it’s nice to have something solid…something you can touch.

Felix: I like the unknown part of it. As a concept artist, going through and exploring the lore and making something totally new. It can be hard to take the abstract and make it something, but it is also a lot of fun.

Chris: I can’t answer that…. There are too many…

Shadow: He loves shouldering the pain of development. He is a total sadomasochist haha.

Felix: Yes! He enjoys living under the pressure haha

FM: What led you guys down this path of being artists for Apeiron?

Shadow: For me, I find, I can’t do anything else. I’m only good at one thing: drawing. So I have to be an artist until the end haha.

Chris: Actually…when I became an artist, I just want to make a great game. Because game is an interactive art. It’s not like other art. Other art is so passive, it just sits there and tells you what it wants to tell you. But games, games offer choice. Stories depend on players. And those interactions can help us learn about people.

Felix: I’m not going to give you an emo shit answer like them…

EVERYONE: …

Felix: (after a very long pause) … it’s all chaos, man. Butterfly effect. I just came to it. I’m not even an artist.

Felix: (super long pause and -_- around the table) … that is probably the most emo answer…

EVERYONE: Yea! GTFO!

FM: Woah. That’s some real shit right there. Yeah so I guess you guys are big gamers. Favorite games?

Chris: Dark Souls. Want to play Elden Ring but no time haha.

Felix: Metal Gear. And also — Last of Us, Part 1. The new God of War opening scene.. When he almost patted his son… EPIC!! ….Shit, is that emo again?

FM: You’re basically the King of Emo at this point haha.

Shadow: God of War, the new one…so good. The camera, the battles, WOW. Also Gundam SEED arcade game and…Pokemon. The original! I always wanted Pokemon Yellow as a kid but never got it…so sad….

FM: Ok we better wrap this one up, we’ve covered a lot of ground haha. Any final words? Spoilers for the fans?!

Frank: Shadow is coming up with a really badass boss, Chris is going to retouch every single detail on EVERYTHING until he deems it fit for official launch quality, and Felix will basically paint over everything again just when everyone thinks its ready. We sat down with James Wo, CEO of the Digital Finance Group (DFG), as well as Joanna Liang, CEO of Jsquare, and talked all about the ins and outs of Apeiron, the metaverse, and what’s got them hyped about our project and its GLORIOUS FUTURE.

Foonie Magus: Hey guys! Thanks so much for taking the time to sit down and chat with us. First things first, could I ask you to introduce yourself and your companies to our readers?

James: Sure, I guess I’ll go first then. I’m James Wo, CEO of DFG. We’re a primarily self-funded and private global crypto-investment fund of 7 years with close to a billion dollars invested in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, DOT [Polkadot], stablecoins and leading digital asset service providers as well as emerging protocols. Thanks for inviting us here today! Ok, Joanna, I’ll pass it over to you?

Joanna: Thanks James! My name is Joanna Liang, and I’m the CEO and co-founder of Jsquare. Jsquare is a global venture firm — self-funded with no external LPs (Limited Partners). We’ve invested in around 60 projects so far with a focus on mass adoption of gamefi and NFT-related projects.

James: Oh I guess I should mention, I am also a co-founder and the CIO of Jsquare haha.

FM: Oooh cool! So you guys know each other then?

Joanna: Yes! We’ve been working together for many years :D

FM: Awesome~ Right then, so Joanna, you mentioned you invested in a lot of gamefi projects. I’d like to ask: how did you learn about Apeiron? What were your first impressions?

Joanna: Sure~ Well, we share good decks and deal flows among our investor friends and community, and that’s how we first came across Apeiron. Our internal research team were fascinated with the game, and when they presented it to us, we were impressed with pretty much every aspect of it. We actually shared and discussed it with our friends at Garena — and you know, they’re a pretty big gaming company in Asia — and they loved it too. From game design to the project plan: everything about Apeiron fits our investment strategy.

FM: Wow, thank you! High praise indeed. It sounds like you’re excited about our project, which we love to hear ❤

James: Yeah and I’d like to follow up on what Joanna’s saying there. One thing I noticed when I was looking at Apeiron was the fact that it has been in the works for over half a decade with the same team. You guys have put together a group that has worked closely for quite some time.

FM: That’s right! It’s really great to be able to share our work with the world after working on it for all this time. A breath of fresh air, even!

James: Yeah absolutely! And the thing is, unlike some other projects, you have to ask the question — are they serious about what they’re putting together? Are they considering the long term or short term only? When you have a team like yours, where people are coordinated, committed, and familiar with each other — that gives us a lot of confidence in what you’re trying to build.

FM: Thanks for your support!

James: No problem! To finish off my point, the other thing about Apeiron that impresses us the most is that the game itself looks fun! There are a lot of games in the space right now that focus too much on the play-to-earn concept of gamefi and don’t give enough attention to the game itself. In our opinion, play-to-earn adds value, but it shouldn’t be the center of attention. We think it’s important that you guys are creating something that is, ultimately, a great product — a great game, first and foremost.

FM: Yeah that’s something we’re very much in alignment with you on — right from the start, we’ve put our efforts into making sure that we make a game that is fun, that people actually want to play and enjoy playing! Speaking of which…what things are you looking forward to playing around with in Apeiron?

Joanna: I’m excited by the roleplay aspect of it! As well as the way that NFTs are integrated into the game through the Planets and the little Doods, I think that is a lot of fun and very interesting to me.

FM: Do you see yourself as a good goddess or an evil one?

Joanna: Probably good…though it may be fun to try out being evil as well haha.

FM: That’s part of the fun, I guess — you can do both! Alright, let me get to the next question I have for you here…ah yes. What kind of collabs are you doing, or that you’d like to do, with Apeiron?

Joanna: We here at DFG and Jsquare, we are not only big investors, but personally we are big fans of NFTs — we want to be involved in NFTs because we believe that they can bring real value in terms of multi-utility, functionality, etc. It’s quite a new space. On the other hand, we have a lot of connections to more traditional gaming companies — like Garena and Tencent. So we’re happy to work with you guys and help engage with both the Web3 networks as well as the more traditional gaming industry connections.

FM: Acting as something of a bridge between these two communities and helping us link up with both, right?

Joanna: Exactly! Also, earlier on I mentioned how we utilize a mass adoption investment approach to gamefi, and so we are connected with many different NFT projects: we can help you guys reach out to them, to identify if there are any synergies, and if there are, to build on them. And finally, on the marketing side, getting the word out about Apeiron is something we’ll be helping with, especially in Asia.

FM: Sweet, that sounds like a one-way train to value town to me! So I know you guys are busy and we don’t have much time left. Is there anything else you’d like to say before we sign off?

James: You know, we have to recognize, we’re in the middle of a bear market, it’s a tough time. But we have seen how Apeiron has kept building, and it amazes us. Right now the gamefi sector is very small compared to traditional gaming. But we believe it’s going to grow, and we believe that Apeiron can be on the forefront of the market.

Joanna: To add to that, we can say now that the first wave of gamefi has come to an end. Gamefi 1.0 has passed. But we are looking forward now to gamefi 2.0, and we think that Apeiron can be a beacon for the new and improved gamefi.

James: Because Apeiron is not just play-to-earn,it is also a god-game, a card-battler, a game with mythology and story and cute Doods…It’s going to be a lot of fun. We can’t wait to play it!

This is part of a broader set of changes we’re making to improve and streamline our Discord server. Let’s see what’s in store~ (literally)

Basically, behind the scenes our techno-doods have been tinkering away on the Discord Mee6 bot, successfully improving its functionality so that we can open the Soul Shop! For those of you not in the know, Souls are a currency you can earn through various means on our Discord server — but primarily through completing our daily Doodiquests. Complete quests, get Souls, and now — use them to buy awesome Apeiron goodies!

To prepare for the influx of new Doods over the next few months and to level the playing field, we’ll be doing a Soul Reset at the launch of the shop, so everyone will be starting from ground zero. It’s all to play for!

Here ye, here ye, Godlings, Doods, one and all! We got news for you today. Specifically, we have two pieces of news for you: to start, we’re doing our first round of airdropping of Mini-Black Hole Tickets to be used in Celestial Conjunction planet breeding. Second, we’re announcing our next big community event, one revolving around the eternal struggle between good and evil: The Dichotomy War. There’s a lot to cover so let’s jump right in!

First, let’s talk about some Mini-Black Holes — the best kind of black holes. These are the NFTs that will power up your Celestial Conjunction rituals, pulling out the elemental essence of two planets and forging them together into a brave new world.

Specifically, when our Primeval Celestial Conjunction event launches later this month — in other words, when planet breeding goes live for the first time — you’ll need Mini-Black Hole NFTs to make the breeding happen.

The number of Mini-Black Hole NFTs that you need for your breeding is variable, and depends on the number of times a planet has been used in Celestial Conjunction — the more a planet’s spiritual essence is pulled upon, the more resistant it ultimately becomes towards the centripetal force, necessitating the use of more Mini-Black Holes.

Here’s what you can expect for using Mini-Black Holes:

Note: Numbers above subject to change

So let’s run through an example or two to get the hang of it. Let’s say you have two Planets that have never been used in Celestial Conjunction before. Ok, simple enough: you’ll need 1 Mini-Black Hole per planet, so 2 in total (1 each).

Now let’s say you have one planet that has been used once and another planet that has been used twice. In this case, the first planet would need 3 Mini-Black Hole NFTs, and the second would need 6, for a total of 9.

For this airdrop, we’ll be shipping over 2 Mini-Black Hole NFTs per 2 Planets, so our holders can get right into the thick of breeding. If you own 2 Planets of any rarity, you’ll get two Mini-Black Holes! Then, if you own 4 Planets, you’ll get 4, and so on.

Please note that we’ll be performing a snapshot on Opensea BY THE END OF THURSDAY (June 9th) to confirm our holders who we’ll be aidropping the Mini-Black Holes to on Friday, June 10th!

And of course, as our Mini-Black Holes are also NFTs, you’re also free to exchange them on the marketplace should you so wish. You have the choice; the power is yours!

Now then, let’s zip right along to our other announcement today: the Dichotomy War!

Out in the far reaches of the Outer Sectors, a world was consumed by Chaos’ Taint. Interestingly, there was only one solitary hermit Dood living there. Her name? Mim. She lived a simple enough life, playing Solitaire and raising some goats. Then the Taint spread over the Planet but couldn’t find any Dood to corrupt — except for her. In a half-aware fury, the Taint corrupted Mim like it had never corrupted other Doods before, and she became especially vindictive, mean-spirited, petulant, naughty, and absolutely and totally insane: the Mad Bood Mim!

Mad Bood Mim flies around the universe on one of her goats (space goat!), cackling as she goes from galaxy to galaxy and makes as much mischief as she can manage before being chased away by Godlings. But this time she’s really gone and done it. She waited for an eclipse and during that brief moment of darkness flung herself into the Axis Mundi and stole the holy items needed to perform Celestial Conjunction!

Without those holy items, Celestial Conjunction, and thus the continuing expansion of the godiverse, cannot happen. This is a major crisis: and so it is that High Goddess Cosmos has rallied all Godlings to her banner, and sent out the call — to work together and retrieve the holy items, and bring back Celestial Conjunction for one and all!

Thus it was that the Godlings came together and started amassing their resources. It will take a massive expedition to the Outer Sectors to get back the holy items from Mim’s dark base on her Tainted planet. However…

Godlings aligned with the Heart of Virtue and Godlings aligned with the Heart of Malice came to a sudden realization. This would be an opportunity to gain the upper hand in the struggle between good and evil. To try and align the holy items of Celestial Conjunction with good or evil, at least for a while…

So it was that the Godlings split into two competing factions, and the Dichotomy War was born!

The Dichotomy Wars is a community event held on our Discord, starting today (June 7th, 19:00 GMT+8)! The event will run for one week, until June 14th (18:59 GMT+8). To participate, community members will purchase weapons to make their side stronger in the War to regain the holy items of Celestial Conjunction. Weapons are purchased through our Discord server Foonie Bot, using Souls as currency, which you can get simply by participating in our community.

Additionally, there will also be another quest! Of the weapons available to purchase, one will be the Eternal Sword of Power. Unfortunately, the sword will be a little short of power after sitting in disuse for so long. But never fear! You’ll be able to buy clues, which will provide hints for using the ESP in special circumstances, and thus restoring the holy items of Celestial Conjunction to their full strength and pushing back Mad Bood Mim!

Now then, that’s how it works, let’s talk rewards. The winning faction (between Heart of Virtue and Heart of Darkness) in the war effort to accrue weapons will have 20 winners chosen by raffle:

1 winner will get $100 USDC

9 winners will get $50 USDC

10 winners will get 1 Mini-Black Hole NFT for Celestial Conjunction

Additionally, there will be a prize pot of $1000 USDC up for grabs to the 10 clever godlings who figure out how to activate the Eternal Sword of Power — a value of $100 USDC each!

Think that you have the creative chops to put together a short story as clever as a fox and as twisty as a snake? Want to win yourself a Primeval Planet NFT? Well hold onto your socks and let’s go on a magical journey of discovery together~

A quick mini-announcement before we embark: summer is coming fast and hot, and we’re lookin’ at preppin’ some sweet t-shirt designs as the weather heats up. This is a contest for our DADIs, our awesome Apeiron Ambassadors. If you want to join, you’ll need to be nominated to be a DADI Jr. To get this done, head on over to our Discord and start being an awesome community member and clinch yourself that nomination!

Now then, let’s get down to brass tacks and talk about the Doodiquest Tell-a-Tale Tournament. A little context: over the past few months, we’ve been putting out Doodiquests on the daily on our Discord. These Doodiquests range in style and substance, but the general format is the same: they offer short’n’fun lil’ stories that present a meaningful moral choice. Do good: work your way towards the ultimate goodness ranks! Do bad: the same, but with evil.

We’re pretty happy with the way the Doodiquests have been going, and it’s been fun to see the balance between good and evil shift around…I wonder if that will be important later? More and more of our community doods have been swayed onto one side or another, battle lines are being drawn…but yes, anyway! About the Doodiquests: we thought: hey, why should we be the only ones dispensing stories from our ivory tower? Let’s get more people involved! And so it was that the Doodiquest Tell-a-Tale Tournament was born.

The Tournament will work like this: you’ll submit two short stories. The first story will be set in the Apeiron universe. In the story, you’ll present a moral dilemma for a fellow godling, and then offer potential solutions using the elements of fire, water, air, and earth. Two of these solutions will be associated with being good and will lead you down a holy path. The other two solutions will be associated with evvvvilllll. The dilemma and solutions should be written in not more than 150 words.

Once you’ve finished laying out the dilemma and possible choices, you’ll write down the outcomes to your branching story. These are what the people will see in the Doodiquest after they’ve made their choice. Again, each outcome should be no more than 150 words.

For your second story you’ll have a bit more creative freedom. It can be any genre just as long as it sticks within 150 words and has some sort of moral dilemma. Additionally, instead of four possible outcomes, this second story will only have two for players to choose from. Other than that, the world is your oyster, the sky’s the limit. Show us your creativity power, no holding back!

If you need any examples, hit up the Doodiquest channel in our Discord. There are tons of them there for you to get an idea of what we’re looking for.

Ok, so those are the rules, how about judging? Last week, we mentioned we were expanding our community’s role in our events, making a big push for more transparency and fairness, and this will be the first time we get to do so! Our very own Dood Council, recently expanded and made up of our most passionate and doody community members, as well as the Apeiron Community Team will be judging the Tournament and selecting the winners.

Besides satisfying the basic conditions for entry (i.e. moral dilemma, within 150 words), the judges will be looking for high quality writing and creativity. This will be the first contest (of many!) we’re running and judging jointly with our community, and we look forward to your thoughts on it. If you have any ideas about how we could make it even better, reach out to us!

Finally, rewards! Based on the size of the different language groups in our community, we’ll be breaking up our entries into three pools: English, Chinese, and Other Languages. For each pool, we’ll have the following set-up:

• For less than 30 entries, the top winner will receive a Primeval Elemental Planet NFT, and the top 3 stories will be featured as Doodiquests.

• For 31–61 entries, the top 2 will each receive a Primeval Elemental Planet NFT, and the top 6 stories will be featured as Doodiquests.

• For more than 61 entries, the top 3 will each receive a Primeval Elemental Planet NFT, and the top 10 entries will be featured as Doodiquests.

Basically, the more people involved the more prizes up for grabs!

The Doodiquest Tell-a-Tale Tournament will last one week, starting from the time of posting of this article (May 31st 19:00 GMT+8) and running one week (closing on June 7th 23:59 GMT+8). Absolutely anyone can participate! To enter the Tournament, submit your stories at the link HERE before the deadline. That’s it!

Hey Godlings! Well, it came down to the wire, but we have received all our entries for the Apeiron Grand Prix, and the competition is now closed! Which can only mean one thing: it’s time to announce our grand prize winners!

At the very pinnacle of the competition, we had 4 Divine Exordium rarity Primeval Planet Cores up for grabs. In today’s article, we’ll be showcasing the winners of these four cores, who produced some truly incredible work that simply blew us away. We want to stress, however, that there were 15 other well-deserved winners, as well as many other entrants who didn’t win cores, and so much of this content has been excellent. Seriously, this was really difficult for us: there were a lot of tough choices because the standard was so high! So we’ll be looking at ways we can give everyone’s work the spotlight it deserves over the coming weeks and months. Keep this in mind — this is not the end: it’s only the beginning.

Little Chicken Makes Big Book

Making a game is both very awesome and very challenging. It requires two things: creativity and dedication. And that is exactly the type of spirit we see in 宫保小鸡丁’s (that’s a Lil’ Kung Pao Chicken) entry. In his tweet, he writes about being on holiday but not being able to go outside due to Covid — something that we can all understand. But instead of just lazing around, 宫保小鸡丁 taught himself how to make a flip-book, and then went out and did it! Each of the pages of his flip-book is colorful and multi-leveled and themed after one of Apeiron’s awesome Dood Apostles, positively brimming with energy and life. But not only that, the book itself opens up into a square box stand that can show all pages at the same time, and would make an excellent addition to any desk, bookshelf, or table.

For showing remarkable creativity and dedication, 宫保小鸡丁 is our grand winner. Congratulations!

The Best Kind of Nature Documentary

One thing that we love in Apeiron is storytelling: we believe that great stories are one of the driving forces of what makes a great game. This is why we chose Tanbod’s entry as one of our grand winners. His short, creative video introduces Celestial Conjunction and planet breeding, which is wonderful, but it’s the way he does it that makes this video truly shine — the gorgeous animations and clear, succinct voiceover work together to tell a beautiful story about the creation of the Apeiron godiverse. It’s this kind of style that makes the information being presented both palatable and interesting, because it gives us the context in which all of these events are happening. In short: it’s epic!

Man of the People

We wanted the Apeiron Grand Prix to be a platform for our community to share their talents and awesome content. But of course, it’s hard to spread the word: there are a lot of people in the world, and a lot of things fighting for our attention. You need someone to stand up: someone to be a leader. That man is Nat | EZ Crypto. Nat took the time to put together an incredibly informative, concise video which covers all the Apeiron basics. Then he put it out there and got people talking about it among his community, garnering almost 4.5k views by the time of this blog post. Through his entry, Nat showed that he has a deep understanding of what Apeiron is all about, and the leadership to take that knowledge and be able to share it with his community.

For leadership and outreach, Nat is our grand winner! Congratulations!

Hey Doods and Godlings! Today we wanted to have a chat with you in regards to what’s been going on in the wider crypto landscape. There’s no doubt about it: it’s been a tough week for all of us. The first thing we’d like to do is reassure you that Apeiron is riding out this storm. Our assets are primarily in USDC and fiat, our Primeval Planet prices are rock solid, we’re still meeting new and eager investors to finalize the last allocations in our private round, and we’re confident that the entire crypto community will come through this together better and stronger.

That being said, we know that there are many in our community who are wrestling with the fallout from this market. As such, we’ve stepped up our outreach efforts to expand on our Dooditative Easing, working together with other partners and communities to provide good old fashioned fun gaming with a little play-and-earn on the side. We’re proud to be able to offer an oasis of relative calm amidst the hurricane, so please feel free to join us — play some games, talk, chill, and take your mind off of things.

Now we are, of course, making some adjustments in response to the situation. We believe that being able to adapt and evolve on the fly is one of Apeiron’s greatest strengths and one of the advantages of our awesome development team, and today we’ll be discussing with you what we have in mind. Specifically, we’ll be going over some changes to the Community Round and the TGE for Apeiros (APRS), our planet breeding, as well as announcing a new system — Expeditions, or Planet Staking! Let’s get to it~

To the matter at hand: what kind of changes are we making? First, we have spoken with all of the top five centralized exchanges and they actually advised against any form of token launch in the next 2 months! Although we are prepared to go ahead, we too acknowledge that we may be in for a stormy ride. Therefore, we will be postponing our TGE to a later date, together with our Community Round. Once things settle down and we have confirmed a date with the centralized exchanges, we’ll continue on with the Community Round.

However, we’re not letting this affect our development roadmap, Celestial Conjunction will still be happening with or without TGE! We know many of you are excited for this, and we are too. In order to give ourselves more flexibility to adapt to the coming storms, we’re changing up our breeding system. For now, there will be no cost in APRS for breeding — it’ll all be handled by Mini-Black Hole breeding tickets.

So how do you get the tickets? No worries: for all of our Primeval Planet NFT holders, we’ll be airdropping the tickets for our first round of breeding — the Primeval Celestial Conjunction — absolutely free! Subsequently, we will be airdropping breeding tickets based on exordium rarity and making additional tickets available as prizes for our community events.

Finally, in order to replace that vacuum of emptiness our doods originally intended to fill with APRS tokens, we would like to announce that we have a special “Expedition” staking system in the works for your Primeval Planet NFTs, yes that’s correct, we will be developing NFT Staking! One with goodies galore that scale with exordium rarity of course ;) We will release more information on this Planet Staking very soon to satiate your doody appetites.
