Greetings Godlings and Happy Friday! A little bit of housekeeping before we move to our topic. Today is the LAST DAY for the Great Warrior Giveaway. This is your ONLY chance to get the exclusive, limited edition Origins Collection Warrior Apostle. You can find more information here. Make sure you act fast! If you miss out on the Warrior, you won’t be able to get the secret special prize for collecting all 12 Apostles.
Finally, we’re keeping the giveaways rolling with our Marvelous Mage Lottery, starting tomorrow! For this event, we’re only dropping 250 tickets to add the powerful Mage Apostle to your roster. You can enter up to FIVE times — once for each social-media mini-quest you complete — so make sure you do that to maximize your chances!
So, with that out of the way, let’s move to our Apeiron topic for today: Relics. Relics are NFTs of NFT and a key driver of progression in the godiverse, so let’s unpack what they’re all about and how you use them.
In Apeiron, initial gameplay takes place on one of your planets. From your EDEN you’ll cast miracles to help the Dood’s build their communities or hop into your Avatar to explore the Dirac Sea, your world’s dungeon, where you can free the souls of those poor Doods who have been tainted by the touch of Chaos, welcome the souls of heroic Dood Apostles to join your squad, and recover the souls of old Apostle allies who fell in battle. Through exploring the Dirac Sea, you will slowly purify your world and add more and more Apostles to your divine crusade.
Eventually your planet will grow to its maximum capacity, its final form, and at that point, you can reset it through a cataclysmic Armageddon event, giving you a bunch of materials to level up your Spirit Core, so you can continue to make your way through the game towards more challenging content. However, during these resets, all of the items and objects you gained during the cycle will be lost. And while this makes each cycle unique and interesting, there may be one or two things — like a rare item or a sweet Dood Apostle — who you want to save.
This is where Relics come in. Anything that might be lost during a reset can be minted into a Relic NFT (Relic) through a holy ritual. Once the item has been minted into a Relic, you can keep it for as long as you want. It won’t get lost during reset, and you can actually move it to different planets or sell it in the marketplace.
So for example let’s imagine you have two planets. One of those is quite developed, the other new. While playing on the new planet, you strike gold, getting a super rare item: the Crust-Cracker Hammer. You’ve been wanting for ages the hammer for your developed planet, which has a fully leveled Avatar and team of Apostles. The hammer will really help boost your damage output. So you mint it into a Relic, send it over to the other team, and grin to yourself: it’s hammer time.
Or maybe it’s the other way around: you discover a special planetary wonder — the Waters of Bablyon — that will dramatically increase the growth of your Dood societies. This doesn’t do anything much on your Fire + Earth planet, but it’s perfect for bringing your new Water + Earth planet up to speed. Mint it into a Relic, and off it goes!
Each planet will have a certain number of Relic Slots depending on its age and rarity. Once you decide where and when you want to use your Relic, you simply insert it into one of the planet’s open Relic Slots and activate it! Then you’ll be able to use it again during that new run. Note that once you’ve activated the item, it will lose its holy luster, and will need to be re-minted into a Relic again should you want to save or move it.
Every item that you convert into a Relic is also a unique NFT that can be openly traded with others. If you get a really rare item but can’t make use of it, you could always decide to sell it on the marketplace for real cryptocurrency!
The TL;DR of Relics is that they are a form of permanent progression that also allows you to play your way to earning real money. When Apeiron launches, be sure to make use of them!
That’s all we have to say for now about Relic NFTs. Stay with us on Twitter and join our growing Discord community and let us know what you think! We want to build this godiverse together, and we’re looking forward to what you have to say.
See you next time, Godlings and Doods!
