Hello Apeiron faithful, and welcome to a new series that we’re putting together: Interview Sunday! You can expect these to go out on Sundays and to be…interviews. Shocking, we know! And to kick off this new series, we sat down with Kit from Guildfi, a gaming collective and one of Apeiron’s strongest supporters. Let’s find out what’s got Guildfi excited about Apeiron~
Foonie Magus: Hi Kit! Thanks for taking the time to talk to us~❤
Kit: My pleasure! Thanks for having us~❤
So why don’t we start by you introducing yourself and talking a little bit about Guildfi and what you guys do over there?
Ok! So hello Apeiron community! I’m Kit, one of the co-founders of Guildfi. We started Guildfi with the goal of being the first place that people think of when they start their journey in gamefi — as not just a guild, but a platform for helping to pull together the crypto communities and educate people.
Educate? Could you elaborate a little more about that?
Absolutely, it’s very important to us. Basically we want to help people have more knowledge about all things crypto. You know, there’s a lot of new technology here. And that means that there are people out there trying to take advantage of it: to take advantage of other people. As a community, we want to help each other avoid scams and spread the word about how this technology can be a benefit to us all. We were actually one of the first groups to start spreading the word about Bitcoin in a positive way, for example.
Wow, that’s really cool! :3
And in Thailand especially! We’re based in Thai and our organization has been a proponent of the idea that the game model is an excellent one for crypto. We’re actually the largest crypto community in the country.
Taking waves and making names, I love it. So how did you guys hear about Apeiron?
A friend of mine sent me the deck and — well, we realized straight away that this was a high quality product. The artwork, the setting, the animations: they really captured our attention. And when we started to dig into it more, we quickly understood that Apeiron is the game that we ourselves want to play. And that’s really important to us, and actually makes Apeiron quite different than other NFT games.
Oh really? How so? O.o
You know, we believe that games should be fun first and foremost. And some of the current NFT games, they put their tokenomics and earning before the actual gameplay itself. It’s led people to say that gamefi is like a ponzi scheme or something, and that’s not good. We believe Apeiron is actually super important in this regard. It’s proof of concept that you can have a fun game and earning together.
Yeah one of the things that we have been talking about recently is moving from play-2-earn to play-AND-earn.
Exactly. We reached the same conclusions ourselves. You know, as a gaming community, it’s great to see a developer embrace the same philosophy that we have towards what we think NFT games should look like moving forward.
Indeed: fun, first and foremost. Talking about the fun, what are you looking forward to about Apeiron’s gameplay?
Oh for sure it’s the god game aspect! I haven’t played a god game in years…I think the last one I played was Spore? But I always enjoyed them and I’m really happy to see them come back in the form of Apeiron. It’s just so unique and innovative — there’s simply nothing like it out there at the moment, and certainly not on the blockchain. Such a good idea!
Our CEO was determined to bring ’em back, and we’re happy to see there’s been excitement for it! So what kind of collaboration can our fans expect between Guildfi and Apeiron?
Well, ultimately we hope that we can be people’s platform for playing Apeiron! Kind of like a jumping off point for their adventures in the godiverse. And of course we’re going to be doing everything we can to help Apeiron succeed — spreading the word to our KOLs, marketing the game, and acting as a strategic partner and investor.
Your support has been awesome, and we really thank you for it. Ok, we’re just about ready to wrap this one up — any last comments? Like…what kind of god do you think you’ll play? Good…or evil? >:)
Hahaha…I’ll probably start as good and then try evil later on. That’s the fun thing about the game, right? You can experiment. Maybe have some good planets and then some evil planets? Haha
Arnav, Guildfi Research Lead who was silent throughout the call, secretly typed in the chat: “He’s lying, Kit is too much of a good guy to ever play an evil god.”
Hahahaha
Haha…that might be true! Anyway, we can’t wait to play the game, so…hope you guys can release it soon!
Just leave it to us~ Thanks for chatting, Kit!
