Happy Tuesday everyone! We’re hot in the middle of Apeiron’s Great Warrior Giveaway, the first of 12 events in which you can win tickets for exclusive, limited-edition Origins Collection Apostles to join your divine cause. If you need more information on that, check out this article here. Today we’re going to keep the momentum going by announcing our 2nd Origins NFT Apostle event, the Marvelous Mage Lottery!

Let’s start by learning a little bit more about the Mage. Unlike the Warrior Doods, who can be somewhat headstrong in the way they throw themselves into the fray without a care in the world, the Mage Apostles tend to hang back from the general melee of battle. Instead, they watch, eat some snacks and wait for just the right moment — and then unleash powerful spells to deadly effect!

Mage Apostles think you are just SO COOL. They represent your most fervent followers: they keep a scrapbook with pictures of all of your most awesome and godliest moments. They have spent long hours walking in your wake, observing how you manifest miracles and trying to sneak a good selfie. And, perhaps through spending so much time in your presence, they have mastered a little magic of their own. Their grasp of the arcane is tenuous at best and downright dangerous at worst. Many of them just fire out their spirit energies and hope that it works. But hey, even misplaced magic can still be useful on the battlefield.

Mages are classic glass cannons: they need to be protected, but if they are, you can reap the rewards with a selection of flexible and powerful battlefield effects. Spells like Frostgrasp, for instance, can render a unit temporarily incapable of moving and therefore unable to join up with its comrades, giving your Doods a window of opportunity to push a numbers advantage. A spell like Contemplation, on the other hand, allows you to reshuffle and draw new skill cards, giving you a plethora of new combat options. And then, there’s always Fireball.

Outside of combat, Mages are the storytellers of the party. While the Warriors prepare the food for dinner, Mage Apostles bring out their hefty tomes and trade stories in dramatic fashion. The warriors listen while they cook and dream of one day getting their own names in the Mage’s storybooks…

The Mage Apostle is a powerful addition to any Apostle team, so let’s talk about getting it! Much like with the Great Warrior Giveaway, entering the Marvelous Mage Lottery you can win a ticket to mint a special, limited-edition Origins Collection Mage Apostle for gameplay in Apeiron. The contest will start 15/1/2022 00:00 and end 21/1/2022 23:59 (UTC). When the contest launches we’ll drop you a link, on which you’ll find five social-media quests to complete on Gleam. For every quest you finish, you’ll get an additional chance to win the Mage Apostle up to a maximum of five. Only 250 winners will be picked, so make sure you complete every task to maximize your chances!
