Greetings Godlings! In today’s blog, we’re tackling how to navigate through the tricky waters of the holy Celestial Conjunction ritual. It’s no easy task to take the spiritual essence of two worlds and create a new one out of nothing, and there are costs and limits to how the ritual must be conducted. But the results, of course, are certainly worth it, as out of the dust of the firmament and nothingness of the void you’ll spin out new planet NFTs to populate the Apeiron godiverse.

We’ll also talk in this article about how exactly the breeding process works from start to finish, and make a note on the importance of planet aging. Finally, we have some details about our first breeding event: the Primeval Celestial Conjunction! Exciting times are coming soon, everyone — the birth of the godiverse, as never before — an event created and shared by an entire community.

Alright, so now let’s move on to the first of today’s topics — the requirements to conduct the holy rite of Celestial Conjunction to breed your own planet NFT worlds. First and foremost, you’ll need to own 2 planets. Then, you’ll need to pay a certain amount of Apeiros (APRS) and Anima (ANIMA), our governance token and play-to-earn token, respectively.

The amount of APRS needed for each ritual will be static, but the amount of ANIMA will go up as you use the planets more times, thereby diluting the spiritual essence. Ultimately, each planet can only be used to produce 3 additional planets. After that, the planet cannot be used in Celestial Conjunction.

Finally, Planets that have the same exact parents (i.e. sibling planets) cannot be bred together, as the spiritual profile is too similar to make a unique world.

Ok, so those are the requirements for making Celestial Conjunction happen. But what happens next? You’ve gone through all the steps: you have 2 suitable planets, both available to be used in Celestial Conjunction, and you have the requisite amount of APRS and ANIMA. Next, you’ll go to the “Sanctuary” section of the Marketplace, which will lead you through the steps to carry out Celestial Conjunction and make your very own new planet NFT.

Notably, the parent Planets will need to go through a cooling off period of two weeks before they can be used again for Celestial Conjunction.

Once the ritual has been successfully carried out, you’ll have an egg for the new world, which will hatch after one week — once it hatches, it can itself be used in Celestial Conjunction assuming that all other requirements are met.

Now we get into planet age. Planet age is important for one reason: it unlocks more Relic slots. Relic slots allow players to insert Relic NFTs — powerful items or characters found across the godiverse — and use them for play for that particular planet. The older the planet, the more Relic slots it has!

When a planet is born, its age is set to 0, and it will increase by 1 every day. Once it reaches a certain age — shown in the table below — it will advance to the next age group, unlocking more relic slots. The earlier you breed, the better — as the more time passes, the older and more powerful the planet!

You may not want to necessarily wait before your planet reaches the next age tier. In this case, the Sanctuary section of the Marketplace offers ways for you to speed up the aging process. Notably, through the rite known as Chronomerging, you can sacrifice one planet and automatically add its age to another’s.

Right then, that covers how Celestial Conjunction functions. Now let’s talk about what’s coming in just a couple of months…the first chance for our planet owners to conduct the ritual and breed their own worlds…it’s the Primeval Celestial Conjunction event!

The Primeval Celestial Conjunction is an exclusive breeding event that will go live in May, following the launch of our APRS governance token (more on that in a later post!). Only the holders of the original 4586 planets given out in the Primeval Planet Presale will be able to participate.

For this event, ANIMA will not be used for Celestial Conjunction, but instead planet holders will use unique Mini Black Hole NFTs to conduct the rituals. We will be giving out these Mini Black Holes through community events, as additional rewards for staking APRS, and to our investment partners.

Following the Primeval Celestial Conjunction, the Apeiron godiverse will slowly populate with worlds that anyone will be able to purchase and begin their own Apeiron adventure. We will be closely monitoring the ecosystem at this time to ensure that everyone who wants to will have a path towards entering into our game.
