Hey everyone! We’re back with some more information for you about Nebula Expeditions, which are launching super soon! Nebula Expeditions give our NFT holders an exciting new utility: stake Planets and Apostles for a chance to earn rewards such as Foonie Emblems, Mini-Black Holes, and even Stella Tabula Chests containing Star NFTs!
We released a blog post previously HERE which gets into the nitty-gritty details, so check that out if you haven’t already. In today’s article, we’ll be droppin’ some dates, hittin’ the highlights, and learnin’ about some of the lore behind all the places you’ll go: oh the places you’ll go!
Before we jump into all that, we want to remind y’all that applications to get on our Star Whitelist are open right now. In fact, they’re open to everyone — it’s a free-for-all, first come, first serve! All you need to do is pick up a few Marks through hanging around our Discord server, and then you submit your application to our #admin channel. Easy peasy!
Ok, with that out of the way, let’s get into it.
First: the dates. We’ll be opening up three different Expeditions over the course of the next month. Our first Nebula Expedition — to the Hidden Lagoon Nebula — will commence on Aug 9th 2022: players will be able to earn from a pool of 500 Foonie Emblems through staking. The second Nebula Expedition, on Aug 18th 2022, will take bold adventurers to the Trifid Nebula, with a pool of 1000 Mini-Black Holes as the prize. And finally, in September the way will open to the Drakehead Nebula, where players will be able to stake for a chance at Stella Tabula Chests.
Second: the highlights. How do Expeditions work in practice? Basically, they’ll go like this:
1.Each Expedition will launch with a brief lore description, let you know what prize you can win, and a countdown timer.
2. The longer you stake for, the higher your Vapor — which means the higher your chances of winning whatever the prize is. So you want to stake as soon as you can (when the Expedition launches)!
3. Stake your Planets — You can stake up to 4 Planets to lead the Expedition. Note you must stake at least one Planet to begin the Expedition. Higher rarity Planets/more Planets → more Vapor.
4. Stake your Apostles — You can stake up to 5 Apostles to join the Expedition. Note you can only have 1 Apostle of each class. More Apostles → more Vapor.
5. ***Get Keys: Some Expeditions require keys to open prize chests. One Mini-Black Hole will require 5 keys to unlock. Keys are valued at .01 wETH. If you need to get keys, you’ll have the option to purchase some at this point.***
6. Confirm your staked Planets, Apostles and keys (if any are required).
7. Begin the Expedition! Based on your Planets and Apostles, you’ll start generating Vapor.
8. Wait until the timer counts down to zero.
9. Come back and collect your staked Planets and Apostles and any prizes you may have won.
10. If there’s another expedition, do it all again!
So that’s the deal with Expeditions and how they work. We have some pictures for you so you can better envision the flow of it
Now then: the lore. For the first of our Expeditions you’ll be plundering the Hidden Lagoon Nebula. Among the many dangers of the godiverse, it is relatively placid and peaceful territory…on the surface. The second Expedition will take you to the far reaches of the Trifid Nebula. You’ll need to pass through both fire and ice, as well as darkness, to reach the final prize. Finally, the Drakehead Nebula, where the smoldering heat and dusty smoke will make it difficult to find your way — especially with a pulsating star sending out waves of flames — but within may be found the most Stella of rewards…
