Doodaloo, everyone! It’s been an incredible season but now it’s wrapping up and we’re entering the endgame, which means this week we’re hitting you doods with our Season 2 Roundup FAQ. We’ll be answering all your questions about dood halo airdrop, AGW procedures, minting, and more…
Before we begin, a quick reminder that you just have a couple of days until the leaderboards close — so get your free mint items (Dood Halo and Doodelic Wings) NOW while you can! Dood Halo is a rare drop during Booty Hours in-game. Doodelic Wings can be picked up for participating in our community events.
Alright, let’s get started with the FAQ! We’ll be using a helpful fictional dood interlocutor to introduce the questions here. We’ll call him Porkums. Thanks Porkums!
Q: Hey! I’m out of the loop entirely. What’s season 2? Isn’t this game still in early access or something?
A: Yes! The official name is the Apeiron Battle Demo Season 2. We’re very much still in early access — we have tons of new features coming over the course of future releases — but we wanted to get started with the competitive side of things nice and early so here we are at the tail end of season 2.
Q: What are the season 2 highlights?
A: This season we added a bunch more content to our dungeon — including two new Avatar classes, more skills for our dood Apostles, as well as story-rich Event rooms. Also, our players got to collect Apostles for end-of-season minting. And finally, we’ve got our Apeiron Guild Wars S2 Preliminary Tournament, which will be starting at the beginning of August!
Q: Any rewards for participating in season 2?
A: Absolutely! We have leaderboards for both communities and for individuals. Top communities get to join the AGW S2 Prelim Tournament, while individuals get prizes in terms of Golden Apostle Tickets (to get a random high IV Apostle), Foonie Emblems (can use to purchase merch on our Discord), and mini Black Holes (mBH) for Planet breeding.
Q: When do I get the rewards?
A: Expect rewards to drop two weeks after the season ends, so look for them on August 4th.
Q: I only used an email address to make my Apeiron Marketplace account. Can I still get the rewards?
A: No, you need to bind your Marketplace account with a wallet in order to receive seasonal leaderboard rewards. Additionally, you need to make sure your Marketplace account is connected by email, Discord, and a wallet within 3 days after the announcement to claim prizes. Otherwise, your rewards will be forfeit.
Q: If I’m coming in late, is it still worth it to play the game or should I wait for the next release?
A: Still very much worth! Each new account can mint up to 3 Apostles — one from each of the Warrior, Priest, and Hunter classes — even after the season concludes. For those coming in late, you’ll want to collect a high IV Apostle from each class and then spend some time leveling up its skills so that’s it at maximum power for future releases.
Q: How does minting work? What does it even mean?
A: Minting means taking an in-game object and converting it into an NFT, which will be yours to do whatever you want with — keep it or trade it away. Minting is super simple: you just log on to your Apeiron account on our official website, go to the Apostle Minting page, select your Apostles, and click mint!
Q: Neat! Does minting cost money?
A: If you manage to get a S2 Dood Halo or S2 Doodelic Wings item, no. Each of those will cover the cost of one mint. You can head over to our Discord for more info on how to get Halo or Wings, if any are available. The third mint will always involve a small fee. Read more about that here.
Q: When does minting go live?
A: At the moment we’ve scheduled minting for S2 Apostles to go live on July 28th.
Q: Is there an easy way to get hold of Dood Halo or Doodelic Wings?
A: Actually, if you’re an Apeiron Planet holder, we’re going to be airdropping a free Dood Halo just after the end of the season! Specifically, holders can expect to receive Dood Halo in their Apeiron accounts on July 24th. Doodelic Wings can be picked up from participating in our community events.
Q: Ok I think I understand all that. What’s this about an Apeiron Guild Wars S2 Preliminary Tournament?
A: We call it the AGW for short. The AGW is a community tournament, where we have different communities from around the web3 space join up and compete for big prizes. This tournament, like s1, is a preliminary tournament that will determine who gets to enter the major AGW event that we have planned for when we release PvP later this year — and that will have a $200,000 prize pool.
Q: So top teams of the S2 Prelim will get entry into the major tournament later this year…are there other prizes?
A: Of course! We have a whole slate of prizes, including sets of Planets, Stars, and cryptocash. You can read more about that here.
Q: How is the S2 AGW tournament going to work?
A: It’s going to be a head-v-head Boss Rush event! Each team will have 3 players who will compete against each other to see who can beat more bosses in 30mins. We’ve developed a special Boss Rush mode just for the occasion. More details on the Boss Rush here.
Q: I’m in one of the communities participating in the AGW! When will we get our hands on the Boss Rush? How will it work?
A: We’ll be releasing a new client update for the game, then sending out special accounts to each community. The special accounts (3 for each community) will get you access to the Boss Rush mode. We’ll be sending these to the top 20 communities on the leaderboard to get some practice as soon as the season ends, on July 21st. Please note only the top 16 communities will be participating. Communities that come in ranks 17–20 will be considered on standby should another community in the top 16 withdraw before the AGW begins.
Q: I found a bug in the Boss Rush! And/or I have ideas for making it better! What should I do?
Q: How much time should we set aside for participating in each round of the tournament?
A: Matches will be around 30mins, but for testing connections and whatnot, you probably want to set aside about an hour of time for each match (30mins prep and 30mins playtime) to make sure everything is good to go on all ends. For the semis and onwards, please set aside 1.5–2hrs of time in total.
Q: What should I do to prepare for my match?
A: Practice, practice, practice. Beyond that, we’ll be creating a special Discord channel on our server for our tournament participants. Before you play, one of our Discord community ambassadors (called DADIs) will reach out to you, confirm when you need to show up in that channel, and then you’re ready to play.
Q: One of our community members canceled at the last minute! What should we do?
A: Each community can (and should!) register up to 3 subs in case of emergencies. Subs must be from the same community, and subs can only be registered for one community. Communities may decide for themselves if they want to sub in a player or not.
Q: How will the tournament be seeded?
A: The tournament will be single elimination, bracketed in the round of 16 so that the rank 1 team plays the rank 16 team, the rank 2 team plays the rank 15 team, and so on.
Q: When does the tournament begin?
A: Right now we’re looking at early August, but we’ll lock in exact dates once the leaderboards have concluded and we know for sure our participating communities.

About Apeiron
Apeiron is the world’s first NFT-based play-and-earn god game. Apeiron will feature a unique card-based action-adventure combat system combined with god game simulation gameplay inspired by classic god games like Populous and Black & White. Players will be able to build up planets from above before descending to the ground as a powerful Avatar to solve the mysteries of the universe. Players will grow their planet to the point of developmental stagnation, then reset the planetary cycle via an Armageddon event to allow for even more advancement and thrilling late-game alliance level GvE and GvG activities. Apeiron will use a tri-token architecture, which means that there will be three separate tokens to navigate their ecosystem: a governance token, a play-to-earn token, and a premium alliance token.
