Anyway! This article today is going to introduce you to the Dragoon and let you know exactly what you need to do to maximize your odds of adding this Origins Collection Apostle to your growing Apeiron party. Right then! The Dragoon. Who is the Dragoon? The Dragoons are mysterious. They ALWAYS wear their helmets, because This is the Way. They’re usually pretty quiet and humble during the day, spending a lot of time prepping their gear, cleaning their helmets, doing some self-training. They hone themselves to be razor sharp (well, as sharp as a Dood can get anyway), then act as the cutting edge in combat, piercing through enemy lines and seizing the flow of battle in their favor. Work hard; fight hard; then play hard — this is the Way of the Dragoon.

Why did the Dragoon choose to follow you? Unlike the other Apostles, they’re pretty transparent about their reasons. They want to be better. There’s something missing from their lives — and it isn’t food or sleeping (HERESY among the other Doods). They want something more — but not from the world, from themselves. So they join you, because you’re something of a role model. And they believe that under your tutelage, maybe they can be better, and that everything will click into place.

In combat, you can expect the Dragoon to be a skill-intensive short-ranged physical DPS class. The Dragoons wield lances that they throw with gusto into enemy lines, and which are strong enough to actually pierce through enemy armor, or even pass through one enemy and hit another with skills like Skewer!

Dragoons also act as a bridge between the frontline and backline. Battles can get messy, and they almost never go as planned. There will be times when enemy combatants sneak or break through your front. And when this happens, the Dragoon is ready to protect the squishy casters and healers. Useful skills here like Impale — which fears enemies in a small AoE centered around the target — offer a brief but important moment of respite to wrest back control of dire situations.

When the battles are over — well, that’s when the Dragoons are ready to GET DOWN AND PARTY. Living on the edge means that these Doods are always happy to take the edge off when they get the chance, so after the battles are done, it’s time to rock’n’roll. The Dragoons will rally the gang — getting the Bard to drop some beats, the Warrior to cook up some snacks, the Mage to magic up some mischief, and the Shaman to bring the chill — and then it’s party ’til dawn!

There’s no doubt that the Dragoon packs a punch, and will be an excellent strategic addition to your team, so let’s talk about how to get ‘em!
