Here ye, here ye — hey, over here! Hello, greetings, and salutations! It’s that time of week again y’all — we’re dropping news for another Apeiron Origins Collection giveaway contest! We’ve been keeping these going for an unprecedented 8 weeks now, but we ain’t finished yet. Today, we’re meeting the Summoner Apostle, a backline-DPS caster who brings a unique blend of spirit-based abilities to send your enemies to the grave. And speaking of beyond the grave, well, we’ve got special plans for the more zombie-ly inclined…
…but for now, we just want to give you your weekly reminder that the Superb Shaman Sweepstakes is currently ongoing, so make sure you finish your social-media sidequests for this week to pick up the party’s master of hexes. Double reminder that the for those of you who manage to collect 6 Origins Collections Apostles as part of our Doododecim Gauntlet, you’ll be added to our Planet NFT Presale Whitelist and be able to get your very own Planet to begin playing Apeiron, so get all these Apostles while they’re hot!
Summoners are like, always talking. Seriously. They could talk the hind legs off a donkey. Sometimes it seems they’re talking so much they don’t have time to breathe. The gift of gab was bestowed upon them many times over. It can be exhausting to hang out with the Summoner…but even when they’re alone, they still laugh and talk to themselves like someone is there. The other Apostles feel like the Summoner is two slices short of a full loaf of bread. Then they see her on the battlefield calling up an army of spirits from the depths of the Dirac Sea, and they shelve their complaints for another day.
So why is the Summoner following you then? What has drawn her to the side of your Avatar? Probably she’s just looking for someone else to chat with…but no. The truth is that the Summoners are so spiritually in-tune with the universe that your energy was like a blinding beacon in a sea of pale light. She was drawn to you like a moth to a flame. She wants to find out what makes you the way you are…and maybe take some of that power for herself? She’s an interesting one, that’s for sure.
In combat, Summoners have an array of powerful abilities that will test your ability to plan ahead and think creatively. Kamikaze Spirits, for instance, summons some of the more unstable spirits from the Dirac Sea to charge forth into the enemy, from whence they explode. It will take a few moments for the spirits to run over, so to use this ability to its full effect you’ll need to see that big blob of enemies forming ahead of time. Or how about the skill Spirit Charge — this one takes the spirit of an ally and sends it charging forward to deal massive damage, but at the cost of immobilizing your ally for the duration of the skill. Can you afford to take your Warrior out of combat for a few moments, or not? Time it right, and you’ll reap the rewards.
During camping times, the Summoner LOVES to gossip. They chat incessantly with the Shamans, Bards, and Rogues. The Priests and Mages worry about the Summoner’s apparent mental instability, and keep their distance. When everyone has gone to sleep, they’ll chat to their spirit friends. Eventually, in the wee hours of the night, they’ll fall asleep from sheer exhaustion — but even then they can be seen mumbling, snorting, and staring unseeingly upwards.
So that’s the Summoner! A cracked nexus of spiritual power that you’ll need to handle with care, the Summoner is one of the more skill-testing of caster DPS Apostles, with big payoffs for those who take the time to master the myriad ways of the Dirac Sea. So how do you add the Summoner to your roster? Let’s talk about it! The Soulful Summoner Service will start next week, running from 12th to 18th March. As always, there will be a number of social media side-quests to complete — mostly to do with following and retweeting the giveaway — and that’s it! For each quest you complete you’ll get an additional entry, meaning an additional chance to win the Origins Collection edition of the Summoner Apostle Relic NFT.
But wait: there’s more! Recently some of the Summoners have been spotted hanging around the graveyards scattered around the godiverse, and taking part in grim and unspeakable rites.
